It depends. If you are FBF animating them, then no, it wouldn't really be normal. But if they are tweened characters, or just made with symbols, then yes it would be pretty normal.

If they were FBF you'd probably have 20- layers depending on the amount of objects in the background, or other important parts.

Yeah, but that takes forever, because you have to do it for every movieclip. Which means the collab would take longer to finish. :(

Question: How are we going to have a pause button? You can't pause MovieClips, and one of my parts is like a bunch of movieclips strung together.

I guess there IS a way, by adding all of the instance names and what-not, but that takes forever, and would mean the collab would take even longer.

Randy's flashes take just as much time and effort as any vector-based flash does. The only difference is that he uses a character owned by somebody else. He doesn't make any money off of that character so why does it matter?

He makes money off of donations and advertising, not direct selling of the fan movies he makes. Which is NOT illegal, and in no way should be interpreted as something offensive to others.
