Level 4 of Contra 3 has a motorcycle chase shooting down flying robots and a tank, then you go under a huge airship fighting a shitstorm of enemies and turrets, then you jump on the missile of a helicopter and hang on to it while having a dual with a ninja from Bionic Commando or some shit, then the missile is fired with a loooooot of other missiles that you have to keep jumping on while fighting a huge flying warmachine with bullets going everywhere while the missiles keep exploding.

I cant think of any other action games that intense, insane, and epic
