good luck. and don't forget that you should test it out after each in-between
every time i see the walk cycle i made i hate it a itte more
Thanks for the tips. With this i will gain one step closer to a blue animation
ok this is what i want you to do, turn on onion skinning. draw the contact frame, then draw the next contact frame. look at yourself in the mirror if you need a reference but just study how you look right when your foot hits the ground. don't be afraid to walk like a cartoon. move the second contact frame over so theres an empty frame between them(hit F7 on the first frame), in that one draw what you look like when 1 legs crosses the other. IMPORTANT: don't just draw them frame by frame in order. draw 2 extreme poses then draw the frame in the middle of that then draw the frame in between that.
if the first step is frame 1 and the next is 9. then draw the frames in this order
1, 9, 5, 3, 7, 2, 4, 6, 8
Makes sense. I will try it and see how it turns out and try some other tutorials as well. Sorry for acting so pissy earlier. Thanks for the advice.

Yes you do cause its bloody awful
And
See, now you're getting indignant.
The bottom line is that a GOOD walk cycle takes time and effort. I've never met a person who has made a good walk cycle after less than five tries.
Yes i know that Its not like madness came in 5 days but I never asked for someone to come along and say well this sucks although I probaly do want to take back what I said in the beginning of this post. Say do you have to redraw over the skeleton (stick) or not

all walk movements start with a skeleton. they were stick to show how it works. You can reanimate over it with a person.

Sorry for double post
I keep drawing the same movements from what I see in tutorials so instead of doing that I will watch myself walk and animating it according to my imagination and see if that looks smooth
Um you didn't use the tutorials. Considering that you must have not even looked at the walk cycle i sent you. I even provided the fla to look at to.
Im not looking for stick men walking im looking for more detailed stuff. And i did use them I am a shitty animator I have only animated stick men films. Im looking to exceed from that. Thats why every day i post tests in hopes of getting better so I can make a name for myself

Sorry for double post, but; I don't think I meant you were blaming everyone, but
"I used this fucking tutorialyou guys told me to use and the cycle is right here And it still looks like fucking shit " didn't exactly sound like a thank you.
I used this fucking tutorialyou guys told me to use and the cycle is right here And it still looks like fucking shit because I suck at animating even though its my favorite fucking hobbby. Help please
I did on that last animation I made Im thinking about doing the loop thing but I dont know where the loop button is
Just put the animation inside a movieclip.
I did
by the way there is no "loop" button. That weird sliding back leg thing isnt going to work either, your going to have to follow that diagram i and some other guy sent to you. If you want good animation you can't just take the easy route.
That is a good tutorial its just that Im looking to make my animation with a different kind of graphic ya know like the one in my test
that doesn't make sense, he not telling you to draw it the way he did, he's showing you how to animate it, and despite all the tutorials and sources you've received you don't seem to be listening
Oh I get it kindof. Ok ill poop out another animation and post it on this fourm tonight or tomorrow see if I get better using that tutorial. Yes I understand i sound like an idiot right now

cant tell which leg is which (no defining characteristics), I only actually make one leg walk, the other slides back and it loops. This creates the effect that the second time it loops, the other leg is moving when actually it isnt.
Ok so today I took up about 3 hours of my day to make this walk cycle. Clcik here then come back to this page and tell me if it is good or if it sucks along with your criticizim on why please.
I made a walking cycle test in hope for improvement. It would be just plain great If SOMBODY would give me some criticizm on what could be improved. I dont know how to make a detailed body put into it yet thats why its just a stick. Check it out
Also Id recommend you commenting on my profileinstead of here

How would you do it?
I'd throw him into a woodchipper, and then put the remains in blender, liquidize it, and then mix that with plastic, and make plastic bunnies out of it.
Kick the shit out of him and butt fuck him afterwords and then butt fuck his horns
