A couple opinions by me:
1. Good reviews don't mean good sales. In all honesty, they are likely cutting employees from companies that lose the most money for EA (though I may be wrong)
2. They aren't the first company to do this, and they won't be the last.
3. EA bought too many game companies in the 90s and 00s, and now they are dealing with the consequences.
4. I can't believe I am saying this, but in the last few years it has seemed to me that EA is no longer as bad as it once was, as another company has become the ultimate bastard of video game companies, to the point that I hope that the people who run it rot in hell for all eternity (COUGH COUGH Activision COUGH COUGH)

Half Life 1 + Opposing Force + Blue Shift. It's amazing I was able to fly through Half Life 2 and both it's episode expansions yet I haven't been able to beat Half Life 1 or it's expansions. I always got stuck, trapped or constantly killed in the other two games, even with cheat codes.

Sonic 3. I was able to beat Sonic 1 and 2, but this one level in 3 always gets me, and years later I still can't get past it. I wish I hadn't lost my Game Genie :<

Super Mario Bros: The Lost Levels. Level 7-2 always destroyed me, and I never figured out how to beat it. I probably should whip out the Game Boy Color version and give it a whole new chance......

Doom. I just get killed horribly in one of the first levels of the second part (of the three), and I just don't know what to do. I need to get some Doom worshippers to lead me through the game.

Any Castlevania game not named Circle Of The Moon.

Metroid Prime. I can't beat the final boss :<

My city is 85% white, and 12% Latino. I believe almost all the 3% that aren't white or latino are Asian, but I can't recall the exact numbers. There is a very, very, very small amount of Native Americans, and there is no African Americans what-so-ever.

I had the version on Super Mario Bros Deluxe for the Game Boy Color. The farthest I ever got was world 7-2, but this one part was so f***ing frustrating that I almost broke my GBA in anger. I haven't even tried getting that far in the last 3 years, and I don't plan on doing so for years to come.

I feel that there is four reasons these people are assholes to customers:
1. Boredom. It's bad enough at most stores, but nothing happens at these stores. It's easy to just get bored, sitting and waiting for people to buy something. The fact many people come in just to play the demos of games but not buy anything must piss them off. The boredom drives them insane, and they take it out on the customer.

2. Their own preferred games ruin their goal to be a salesman. I wouldn't be surprised that if you bought games they like, or for the systems they like, they would treat you nice. I bet most of these problems come from people buying games for systems they hate, and not the versions for systems they like.

3. Stupid customers. Jesus christ, some of those annoying fanboys under 15, and almost all of their parents, who always know shit about the video games their kids want, often make you want to put a bullet in your own head, and you don't even work there. I remember a woman in her 40s asking random questions about video games and the consoles that 99.99% of the users here would know immediately, but she was asking them in the annoying dumb blonde method, making me wish I had chosen a different day to go buy a video game, and wishing I had died of the brain tumor in 2004. As a result, these customers are treated like morons, for the employees just are tired of hearing this shit all the time.

4. And the highly likely option that they are just assholes, period. Come on; every store, no matter what city it exists in, what field of business it sells in, and reguardless the time of year, will have at least 1 or 2 asshole employees. I say at least, for often there will be a lot of assholes working at any store. The problem always is those assholes are often the best at completing their work, so it's impossible to fire them without risking serious problems in the productivity of the business, and having to hire new people who you have no idea will be good employees, the lazy bastards who do jackshit, or the assholes who get everything done, but then insult the customer once they have the time to do so. I can't even count how many times that shit has happened in my parents businesses (Women's clothing, don't ask) with their employees. Those stupid whores..............

I totally get what you are saying. PCs were once head and shoulders above consoles (1994-2001), but PC has sort of fallen down badly due to the need of constant upgrading of the hardware. I got back into PC gaming in the last year, but, as seen in my various posts here, most of the games I am playing are games at least 3 years old that were on sale on Steam, Amazon or Best Buy, thus I didn't have to spend too much money on the games, but more importantly, I didn't have to buy any new hardware, for my current hardware can manage these games without a hiccup.

I don't want to have to spend 200-300 bucks every year to upgrade my PC, if not spending thousands to buy a new PC and upgrade it, when I can spend the 200-300 once on a system and be fine until the next system comes out 4-6 years later.

Really, I love PC games, but the vast majority of what I love came out from 1993-2004. I just hate spending too much money on my computer (or computers, if you include my 2005 Dell laptop), because I want to spend my money on the games themselves.

Note: I have mostly bought sale games recently because I am low on money, so don't give me shit on being a cheap gamer who doesn't have the willingness to spend the dough. At least I am not the one with big-ass credit card bills who is driving this country into the toilet, unlike 99% of gamers (or 99% of gamers parents, since most gamers under 18 don't actually pay for any of their goddamn games).

You know, considering Chinese Democracy, after 15 years of being made fun of, finally came out in 2008, I wouldn't be surprised if the "It's about time" of 2009 is Duke Nukem Forever. However, I would still bet against it for the lulz.

Anyway, the games I am looking forward to are Black Mesa (Watch the trailer here) because it looks awesome and IT IS FREE; Ghostbusters; Mario And Luigi 3; Punch-Out Wii; and hopefully, any major first party game for the Wii from Nintendo that could be released in the winter (Zelda, Mario, Metroid, Kirby, Star Fox, etc)
