Do you have any advice on how you approach those gesture type drawings you did? They look great, and I was just wondering where you learned to do them in that style

Always remember that gesture drawings are merely quick, fun doodles meant to loosen you up for a real drawing and that the results may serve as guidance for a more defined piece of work.

Never consider style while doing gestures, just go with throwing lines together to form a body that fits the mood you feel or want the drawing to have. Worry about intricate details later, focus on the bigger, general idea. Style will come later.

As for the "style," it just kind of happened. I experimented with different ways to ease up the process of aligning things in regular drawings and it followed naturally to gestures.

Here's Halee Bits being cute. Gesture made in MSN.

It's not that I'm afraid of what other people think of my subject matter; quite honestly, I don't really care at all. The only thing I'm a little cautious about is spamming and flaming.

I haven't been around closely since forever. Back when being an asshat was cool and L3375p3@k was in, heh. Forgive me for being timid.

Anyways...here's something quicklike for now. Baker and his partner Halee.

I have other things to post, but I remembered a while back how this community was with anthro characters. I don't know if I should post it because it involves nudity.

Nothing raunchy

I know this is my thread and all, but to avoid being called a "furfag" and getting flamed, I think it's wise to ask if you're all okay enough to look at it.

and if it makes y'all feel better, it's a girl.

Woo! You're still here! How's it going and what's changed?

Thank you

One question though; do you have higher-res versions of your art? esp. the first one looks like it would look better in full size.

I'm sorry, but what you see is kiiiiinda what you get. Maybe just a little bigger if the picture didn't exceed the NG limits. I draw on pretty small digital canvases :3

Though I did see a tab that says 300 pixels/inch under a resolution tab whereas it used to be 100. The dimensions of the pictures, however, are pretty close to the original.

So here's Baker Kibbles. He used to have a gun for an arm, a pair of baggy pants, a hoodie, and a fedora hat. I'll post something cleaner soon.

Here's something easier to view.

I really like how you colored that. Do you do transparent brush strokes or what? I'd like to know EVERY.SINGLE.STEP.AND.DETAIL. I'm actually very curious...

Even more gestures. Get comfortable, boys. I draw a lot of anthro animals these days. So other than most likely Luigi, you'll be seeing DOGS THAT TALK AND WALK ONBHIND LEGS.

Gonna fly into some older drawings. Here're my gestures that freed me up.

Luigi owns all of your shitty game characters that aren't him!

Another SUPERMASSIVE, only it's mini.

a MINIMASSIVE!

I was listening to the Whomp King's battle theme from Super Mario Galaxy 2 and came up with an idea for my character. He'd be the ruler of a KONG chew toy planet colored like the Earth.

So, I don't know if anybody remembers me; I was formerly "misterdog."

I'm making a new thread for a couple reasons:
1: To be associated with my shiny new name; I asked krieg if it was okay on another account I can't seem to access anymore...

2: I think I'd like to start off with a clean thread...I recalled ReNaeNae allowing a forumite to make a new thread because his/her art style changed enough. I believe I've changed a bit :3

Forgive me if I'm wrong. I hope I can do this without any trouble.

Here's my opening pic. A SUPERMASSIVE BEAN DOG.
