Response to: Voice Acting Club Posted February 10th, 2006 in Clubs & Crews

Hey im needing a male voice actor for a university peice which will be entered in animation festivals and sent around to apply for funding to be turned into a series! You will of course be fully credited and of course if the 100% best result happens and we got funding you wopuld iof course then be considerd staff therefore it would become a paid role for all of us! Basicly what im doing with the help of my lecturers is producing a 1 minute trailer about a superbatural private eye series its a film noir style thing and im needing the private eyes voice ide like it to be a deep tone if your intrested please post here or contact me on msn/email via blackball1985@hotmail.com

heres a small render to see what sorta mood im setting

hey, right this used to be a collab ran by my good friend Ace however something has happend and he no longer seems to have the power of internet or possibly even pc im not to sure. In anycase me and frostymuffins are now revamping and reviving it cause we did a shit load of really good work on it and it aint going to waste :) so we are learning from the last attempts mistakes and only accepting one person to work alongside in equal measure me and frosty this way it should be a better more fun experiance anyone who is intrested please post here, heres a preview to wet your appitite

http://www.sheezyart.com/full/488456/

if you hadnt guessed i handle 3d segment of it, and frosty does the AS games/anims however whatever you would like to contribute is defo negociable! :)

You overdid some of the windowlighting, or you need more ambient light. Either way, your lighting needs work. The table's weird too... why would the legs ever go inwards like that? And with legs taht go inwards they usually aren't perfectly straight. only ones that go straight down are perfectly straight.

Do you know of any good lighting tutorials? Im venturing into photo relsim for uni and i need as much research/help as possible i think thanks in advance

I hope you mean by high-res high-res image file... not high res model. Because each of those flat parts only needs one face... it'd be a huge waste of render time and work time to make them more than that.... that's why they're flat in the first place.

Yea i ment high res image, thanks for you feedback too :) ill be sure to improve the model when i next get chance and post another vers here

Awesome! I wish this thread was more active, no one hardly ever posts, even though I know everyone is working on their parts. Sorry Animator Jones, I'm not sure if I'll be able to have the 2nd one done by wednesday, I'm having major school issues. Hopefully I'll be able to do it over the weekend. Sorry again.

Since Animator Jones is prolly pre-occupied settling back into school and the likes of ill try to you know...keep things intact till he gets to a pc :) take the time you need man theres no massive hurry for it sort your school stuff out first thats more important and secondly good luck with the 2nd one hoppe you can do it by weekend but if you can dont sweat :)
Thirdly, if you use msn add blackball1985@hotmail.com itll be easier to discuss the collab :)
Finally hope animator jones doesnt mind me attempting to keep things in shape while he settles in at school

Here's my finished piece...I think...

I think the ending flows into Super Blackball's quite nicely (goes into a space scene).
Maybe we can each add in a slight fade, so it doesn't look like the stars just change position and the looks of things when both pieces are back to back?

http://img37.imagesh..meleesheikzelda9.swf

I must say thats fantastic! Really well done :D i think i fade in/out just a fast one is needed...perhaps like a sorta atomspphere type effect just to ensure a smooth transition for example...

goes up on your stars
a slightly see thru purpley haze as if it was a atmoshpere moving downwards to represent camera moving upwards then my kirby scene...just a idea

Nice, but it could use more polys. It's really low res.

i know the guy hes keeping poly count low as possible cause hes moddelling for video games :)
