I'll start off with one that may be comparatively tame.

One summer I was hired through a temp agency to go work at a paperboard box making factory. One of their rooftop hoppers which they used to vacuum scrap paper from around the factory had sprung a leak, and paper was filling the field around the building. The Environmental Protection Agency was fining them and making them clean up the mess. My job was this: I had to walk around on the roof for eight hours a day in Texas in July, cleaning up all of the scrap paper that had gotten between the rocks on the roof. Clearly this had been going on for some time, as some of the pieces of paper were baked onto the surface of the roof. I could empathize with those pieces of paper. Worst sunburn of my life!

Now... you go!

Being from Texas myself and I can attest how much that had to suck! I think pretty much any job that looks and feels like it's going to take an impossible amount of time for little progress has to be horrible. I always feel really bad when I drive by highway construction workers in the middle of those Texas summer months.

I worked at this Pizza place owned by a married couple when I was in Junior High.
The wife really disliked me for some reason. One day she made me clean the maggot-ridden dumpster with no gloves or tools. She was a very unlikable human. All of the employees hated her and I found out the husband divorced her.

Could've reported them I guess but being in Junior High I just quit... Then told my dad who promptly drove up there and confronted her.

Glad to participate in this as my introduction to the NG community.
