Response to: Playing flash's from the HD error Posted November 5th, 2005 in Game Development

That's what I was afraid of, i am using flash 5.
Dammit

looks like it is time to upgrade.

Frustrating, since this used to work on IE before they changed it.

Response to: Playing flash's from the HD error Posted November 5th, 2005 in Game Development

"the flash is probably displaying full screen or just isn't cutting at the borders. Try opening it with the flash player, not IE"

This is what I want to do , but where is the flash player at?
On the falsh web-site, it only has downlad plugins for IE.

HELP!!!

Some of the flash files that i have saved to my HD do not show to be centered correctly when I play them back,
You can see the border area outside of the actual frame and sometimes see sprites and images being layout in preperation to enter the actual animation

Any ideas on how to solve that?

I have my internet explorer set to automatically open and play the SWF files.

Response to: Opening a .SWF file in explorer Posted August 10th, 2005 in General

:(
It says that I already have flash installed.
But then when I right click to open them, it just shows some programs that are in my Flash5 directory where I Edit flash animations. it does not show the new flash player.

The it asks me to browse to the new player, but i can't find it!

Dam Old man Gates! and his SP2 !!!

Ride the Lightning

I'm wondering what Emo is, but I'm afraid I don't really want to know ;)

Your problem, kid, is not the christains, it's your parents!
Living at home BLOWS.

Don't blow your brains out yet, the best is yet to come.

I would however recommend laying off the excessive weed and booze, both of which turn into killer downers after your body processes them in the first cycle. That plus an army of Cristians and crappy parents is more than any normal person can handle.

It's ok if you turn gay over this, we always thought you were a little funny already.

Opening a .SWF file in explorer Posted August 6th, 2005 in General

I have some SWF files stored on my HD and have them set to automatically open with IE when you double clikc them.
However each time that I open them, this securtity warning appears in the info-bar, then you have to click OK allow Content and it just sucks.

Anyone know the setting to change to make Flash automatically open Flash files, I want to retain the rest of the security settings so I don't want to just change to low security.

Response to: Question about drug testing Posted June 28th, 2005 in General

I hate to break it to you but all those ways to get around drug testing are mostly crap.
Many involve overdosing your system with a specific nutrient or chemical that makes you piss till your johnson falls off. Alot of those 'Cures' aer actually very dangerous and damage your liver and kidneys (which have to work like a racehorse the whole time)
Sadly, weed, is absorbed into fat in your body and will not be easily removed like this.

Many new drug tests actually test for the 'cleaning' products such as Golden Seal, Niacin, and etc. There used to be a thing called an 'Indeterminant' result from the test, meaning that you had a cleaner chemical in your blood. This result has been changed to Positive. So even if you are clean and take a cleaner, you will fail.

The paradox of the whole thing is that the drug crackdown is based almost soley on weed. Drugs like LSD, Crack, and Cocaine for instance are easily purged from your system in only a few days.

PS- When they say Random Drug Testing, they mean "When we want to fire you, we will"

Your best bet it to drink 3 gallons of water per day for 1 month. This will get you past a simple piss test. It will NOT even come close to beating a Gas Chromatograph Test, Hair Folicle or Blood Test. Those are usually for government jobs only, and you have no business there anyway POTHEAD!

Do you get EXP from posting a flash Posted June 26th, 2005 in General

Just a simple question really.
Do you get any EXP from posting a flash movie?

And if not why not?

Response to: I think rock pokemon are real Posted June 26th, 2005 in General

So which is worse the guy that thought that there could be a pokemon living in the lava inside the earth,

or the 20 dorks that were willing to debate it for 5 pages?

PS- Many of the pokemon, if not all of them, are based off of real creatures.

Response to: Websites suck! Wah. Posted June 12th, 2005 in General

I like the free hosts because Flash is not dependant on server side crap.
For what we do the free hosts are great.

What services do you use to host the pages?

Response to: Bought new Guitar Posted June 12th, 2005 in General

PS - Oh, and give up on the SOAD for now.

If you have any questions about chords or tuning, then you arent ready for SOAD !

Response to: Bought new Guitar Posted June 12th, 2005 in General

If you want to learn music quickly, go and search for TAB on the internet.

Learning tab can take only a few minutes and you can get the music for the songs you own (listening to the recording will be mandatory to figure out the exact riffs)

It's cool and it's free. Many commecial sheet music pieces range from 3$ to 25$ per song! Of course the quality varies, but if you look around you can get some good stuff.

PS - The guy that said Ibanez is for begginers....IS A MORON!!!

Response to: Shape Tweening Text - Asnq Posted May 24th, 2005 in Game Development

Sweet, you're right!

Thanks again, next time I'll try to ask a smart question ! [so you better get smart!, it's gonna be a tough one!]

Shape Tweening Text - Asnq Posted May 24th, 2005 in Game Development

I got another stupid noob question for you guys:

When tweening text, do you have to make each letter a seperate layer,
and if so, isn't that a huge hassle?

maybe there is a shortcut?

Response to: Placing Objects off-stage Posted May 19th, 2005 in Game Development

Ok, I didn't have View->WorkArea on in the menu.
[told you it was a noob question!]

Thank you again for all your help.
You rock !

Response to: Placing Objects off-stage Posted May 19th, 2005 in Game Development

no, it shows the animation in the upper left corner of the window, and I cannot place objects around it.

Response to: Placing Objects off-stage Posted May 19th, 2005 in Game Development

"While creating the movie it is obvious what is the stage and what is not correct?
the surrounding (off stage area) is grey, and your stage (default is white) could be what ever colour you want it to be."

I think this is the main problem.
The animation I made does not have a Grey area around it.
It just has the stage and that's all.

How can I change that?

Placing Objects off-stage Posted May 19th, 2005 in Game Development

I have a really noobie question about placing objects off-stage till you want to use them.

I want to keep some movice clips out of view and then they kinda wander into view when the time comes.

The problem is that I cannot figure out how to place them in the non-viewable space around the frame.

I know it's a stupid question but I even googled it, and couldn't find out how. L:(

Response to: Max - Maya Posted May 19th, 2005 in Game Development

Get 'Rhino' you can use that to convert them.

It has a limited free trial and you can get it cheap after that.

Response to: Where Is Animation Called F E A R Posted December 29th, 2004 in Where is / How to?

Sveeeet.. it worked.

thanks :)

I saw a great animation, I think it was called "F E A R", but now I cannot find it.
You cannot search for a name with spaces in it.

It was about a little girl trapped in a haunted house type thing, there was a rabid-ass teddy bear, and her mom nailed to the wall with knives. She ran around and eventually got trapped in the closet. In the end it turned out to be a dream sequence.

Can anyone tell me where it is or what the real name is?

Just start smoking Marboro Reds. In a few months you'll have that nice Clint Eastwood from Heartbreak Ridge accent ;)

Response to: Three-Dee (3D) Posted December 26th, 2004 in Game Development

'Rhino' is a great 3d modeling program, it comes with a 90 day trial too.

The learning curve may be a little steep, but the models it produces are top knotch.
