This is a great starting palce, for learning basic syntax, and generally how flash works.
It's better than having to to trawl through all the garbage on here to find what your looking for.

Thats was fucked, so now i do green (what youd call weed). I'd say bong of green all way , there good and easy to do and they get you wrecked.
It sounds like you just went a bit paranoid, I found blow hightens your emotions, so if your not in the right mood it can fuck you up, remember that.
Also pollen or tar (like blow but stronger and more expensive) is good, don't taste like shitty blow either.
I still say green > blow by far.

But to answer with something nice try www.Bit-101.com and click on tutorials, they have a some tutorials there thta will give you the basics of AS and give you some good ideas.

Instead if just stopping an entire layer it is alot easier to just make tht layer a MovieClip, then u can control it;s playback alot mor easier, I would give you some code, but I dont really get what you wnat to do, break what you want to do down a bit
The only thing it could be is that youre uplaoding something from mx2004, try lowering it to 5 or 6. i can't think of much else that could be wrong

Yeah I'd agree with sticking to alot of FBF, tweening is good but alot of people new to flash over-use it in animations and it looks shit, especially if they dont ease it in or out and it's all monotonous(forgot how to spell it).
I suggest to learn the basic structures of actionscript goto: www.bit-101.com, they have a few very good tutorials on gravity and easing and they wil get you on track, I have a very good site if you wnat to learn functions and all the cool stuff but I forgot it, I'll post agian if i find it.
