That's funny, a few days ago I started a thread asking if people still care about this game or not haha. Thanks for the update on the DLC, the fact that it has a new character and missions is cool and when more details come out it just might interest me enough to DL it. I'd probably wait for people to play it first though and tell me how it is.

Yeah I have had the same problems with it. It seems like the more you get into the game the more glitches and freezes occur. There really isn't anything to stop it as far as I can tell.

A few days back (11/13) Take Two Interactive said they are STILL working on the DLC for GTA4. My question to you guys is do you even care anymore? I haven't heard anything about GTA in so long, and with all the other games coming out won't the DLC be somewhat overshadowed by other games?

I think it just sucks that while Deregulation CAN be a good thing, how certain companies can abuse it. This country is about freedom and then things come along like The Enron scandal or right now with the wall street meltdown and everyone shouts REGULATE!

I don't think people should be forced to do things with their companies, but when shit like this happens it's hard not to stop and think, "man what would have happened if we did something earlier? would it have stopped it?"

Even if there was stricter regulation, I honestly think it still would have happened. If someone is greedy they will always find a way to skim off the top or some loophole in a law. If everyone is told to stop, at least half are still gonna go for it. It's not regulation or deregulation that's to blame, it's just human nature. No one can regulate that no matter how hard they try.

Do yourself a favor, do the quests from megaton first. Obviously finding out where your dad went, but deliver the letter to arefu since you can get a cool ability from that. Also, when you complete the wasteland survival guide quest, even though that takes forever, you get a 15% bonus to health. THEN blow up megaton if you want. Disarming the bomb takes longer to do since you need a 100 in explosives to do it. If you just want the achievement then blow it to hell. Either way the quest is completed.

As for the ghoul thing, you never can become a ghoul. You can get REALLY close to becoming one, but never do you actually become one. Sorry about that.

I's specifically talking about games that take on average between 4-8 hours to beat. It seems like even 10-14 is pushing it these days.

I remember a time when most games took FOREVER to beat. Final Fantasy took 20-30 hours to beat on a first generation console! Now games like Halo and Gears of War take mere days to beat and the only thing left is multiplayer. Then we have to wait patiently for the next installment so these companies can keep making massive amounts of money.

Does anyone feel the same way? That maybe the developer should put more in the story and not just hope multiplayer expands the experience till the sequel? If not, why not?

I've been watching the news since the election and everyone that is white and likes Lynard Skinard seems to be bitching about how Obama is going to take away all their guns. See that little R before the state, that means they're REPUBLICAN. That's right folks, Obama didn't want to take away your guns first. The good old red team decided to do that first. Under their renewal plan, it expands the amount of guns outlawed and restricts the ammunition count to be five rounds and under. Any gun with a slide action is also included. You have a handgun that isn't a revolver, too bad! Also it includes any gun not fit for sporting events or hunting. That means even civilian models of guns originally intended for police are outlawed as well.

See kids, it's not just the Democrats that want to take your guns, it's everyone! Doesn't that give you a warm feeling inside?

No one should take this shit sitting down. I'm not one for owning an AK-47 with a grenade launcher or a bayonet attachment. But if I wanted to buy a decent weapon to protect my family and myself, I'd like the right to. It won't stop crime either. If the drug dealers and thugs on the street want a gun, they get it black market.

I don't like how the news is portraying any of this either. How it's all white people that are scared and turning it into a race thing. That fuels more hate people! Black, White, Latino, Asian, Native-American, we all bleed when we get shot and we all deserve the right to defend ourselves with something that can stand up to the ones that want to hurt us and our loved ones.

I think that value might save that as a secret weapon for later. These episodic releases are really working out for them so until they run out of ideas to keep stretching Gordon's storyline, I don't think we will see that. I hope they do though, because that character was badass haha.

Honestly I don't think a union between Canada and the United States would ever work out. Not because of the citizens of either country, but because of the governments. The United States government would push too hard to try to "reform" Canada's system and that would create a lot of animosity. Canada has their deal, we have ours and I'm fine with us being friends but trying to unite both countries would be way too complicated. Now if we adopted some of Canada's laid back attitude then maybe it wouldn't be so bad haha.

It sounds like a good idea on paper, but odds are it would be poorly executed.

Alright I don't want to give any spoilers away so I will try to be as basic as possible with some of the bugs.

There are obvious holes in the game, which is understandable since its a MASSIVE game. I just wanted to see if anyone here is having the same kind of bugs I am, or are you guys having different ones?

I get glitches like all of the sudden an important NPC that I need for a quest just falls down and dies while standing in front of me (Think of how people die in the matrix when they get unplugged haha). Then I cant complete the quest and of course I have to start the game over since the glitch happens even when I reload!

Other times its just that there is some item like a key that is required that wasn't required before. Certain terminals and doors that were open and then all of the sudden need a key.

Don't get me wrong besides that the game is cool. Is anyone else having the same problems? Random people or creatures dying or lost items?

Well I just got yelled at by a McCain Supporter because I'm a Democrat. Not because of who I am or how I am in private or even because I said something profoundly stupid. All I said jokingly was, "Oh I'm on the Blue Team."

I received a lecture on how Obama wants to change the country into Nazi Germany and give the launch codes to Bin Ladin, who happens to be a member of his extended family. I was screamed at about how Obama will take away the rights of Caucasians because of slavery and will put us in prison for the color of our skin. Finally, I was told if I voted for McCain, I could save the planet Earth from destruction and make us a more perfect union.

I never said who I was voting for, just my political party. In fact, I was a swing voter until this incident. Now I am most certainly voting for Obama and I don't think I will change my mind anytime soon.

What I want to know is how, if any, hate mongering from any side of this race has affected your overall opinion and made you vote for the guy that crazy person was not voting for. Does it even matter what they say to you? Will any sort of "Facts" deter you from really hearing the issues. Speak truthfully, that's what the internet is here for. At least for now.

I think that he has apoligized enough and said what he can say according to who he is. And Im sure there are many ppl out that that believe in Islam that say "Hey killing ppl is wrong no matter who u r or who it is for." So really I think the acts of ppl should not be misrepresenting a belief. The Pope, while he is supposed to represent Catholism, in a way can misrepresent it because he himself is a man and is not above God. So really everyone should be apoligizing to each other :).

I think more and more with today's society, some of the American people and other people of other countries are looking for a new way to live, and Communism, since it's been off the radar for a while and seems to be the enemy of the state, seems like a good idea. However, these people fail to factor in the human sense of greed and malcontent. Humans are, for the most part, inherently evil. Now there are some great people out there, but for every great person, there's at least 25 asshole bosses, co-workers, and people on the highway that cut you off and make you late for work so they can get there just a little earlier than you. Capitalism works in most societies because it feeds on the human sense of greed and malcontent. It makes people mad and makes them want to work more just to edge out the other asshole. The best thing that we as a people can truly do is not convert to Communism, but to try to get people to understand where true problems lie, within the human spirit. Also, we must try to consider how people are just screwing the lower class. There are so many problems with this country with poverty and a civil war between the classes of the lower demographics that form gangs and shit, that we need to get back to basics. What we need is not an anti-capitalism outlook, but a communist like outlook on the people of this nation.
