Hello folks! I would very much appreciate it if any of you guys could review this EP I recently finished: http://wheremountainsmeet.bandcamp.com/a lbum/pulsar

It's not on the actual newgrounds site yet, but I was actually looking for some feedback to see if I should post it on here or not! So I would love to hear what you guys think of it. Thanks everyone<3

Digging the podcast man! Little previews of the songs within the review really encourage me to check out the album more, and I enjoy hearing more of what you like about the music

Definitely experiment around with everything man. What I try to do is find a genre that I've never attempted to write before and then write 3 or 4 songs within that genre and do everything I can to explore it in those few songs so that I can utilize those newly learned skills for the future. But also just experiment for the sake of experimenting, you'll grow much better musically and creatively, and it's fun either way!

Response to: How do you guys make your music? Posted December 16th, 2011 in Audio

I definitely agree with both of the posts on here, experiment around until you find your own style. As for the DAW, I use Logic, which I would highly recommend if you have a mac. Based on what some friends have said, FL studio is the easiest to teach yourself if you've got a PC, so shoot for either of those, get a bit of recording equipment, and you'll be making music in no time!

Not necessarily a regular on the forums just yet, but I've noticed a lot of cool people on here and as of today Im going to start becoming active here, beginning with this post! Just finished a four track ambient/electronic EP of mine called Pulsar. Painted the album cover myself, hope you dig it man, love the review idea.

Response to: HOW on earth do you make games?! Posted July 24th, 2011 in Game Development

Haha well yes, but what Im saying is I have no idea what that is or how to do it and I do not know what programs to use. How did you learn? and What programs do you use? Anyone telling me how they got to where they currently are in their knowledge of programming would be greatly helpful!

Hey guys, I've always considered myself a decently creative person with plenty of ideas, with my only decent output of material dealing with music. However, I have dreamed for years of being able to create my own games like the ones here on newgrounds. My question is then, how would I go about doing such a thing? What programs and skills do I need to purchase/learn to accomplish such a task? Any and all feedback would be appreciated my friends. Thanks in advance!

Looking to compose for game! Posted July 24th, 2011 in Collaboration

Hey guys Im pretty new here and the entire reason this site attracted me was because the whole idea of internet collaboration to make something really intrigued me. Having said that, as a musicians Id love to get started on a game project that needs music! I'll compose as many tracks as you need and e-mail them straight to you as soon as they're completed. I have a few examples of my work on my page if you just click my profile to get a taste of what I've written in the past, but I am not limited to genre; I will write any style of music you require to the best of my ability! Just PM me or reply to this thread if you're at all interested! Thanks guys

Response to: Techno Musician Needed! Posted July 22nd, 2011 in Collaboration

Thanks my friend I appreciate the kind words on my work! I have finished the title screen music for you and e-mailed it to you from storm.crews@yahoo.com, so go check your e-mail for that and listen to it and let me know what you think!

P.S. It isnt intended to be a loop but I am aware that it doesn't loop very well simply due to the way I bounced it from Logic with the end cutting off weird. I just sent it to see if you like it, and if you do I will send you a version that will actually loop how its supposed to!

Response to: Techno Musician Needed! Posted July 22nd, 2011 in Collaboration

Yo man, Im a musician and Id be more than happy to help with the game you're working on, especially since the premise sounds so intriguing. I don't normally do techno, but its not something Ive outruled in my past writing sessions (Examples: http://translucence.bandcamp.com/track/c onquest, http://translucence.bandcamp.com/track/n o-more-paradise)

I know neither of those are anything close to what you're looking for, as both of them are wayyyy happy, but I just wanted to give you an example of the electronic music work Ive done in the past. As I said, techno isn't my specialty, but its definitely something Im willing to work on if you want me to. Just let me know if you're up for letting me work with you man and I'll begin work on the soundtrack right away!
