Fox News...ugh...agai n. Posted July 23rd, 2010 in Politics

Shirley Sherrod was fired for the dumbest reason ever and, oh shit, it was caused by and overreaction and a lie.

If you haven't been paying attention apperently Sherrod was fired because she was saying something racist at a NAACP meeting. Who was the person to tackle this groundbreaking story? Why it was Andrew Briebart of BigGovernment.com. The same Briebart who speaks at Tea Party conventions convinced that Obama was not born in this country. The same man who helped break the ACORN scandal that ended up also being a complete lie and destroyed a charitable organization. Yes, this same man.

But who decided to follow up on this story?

If you haven't read the title it was FOX NEWS! Oh shit, if there ever was a moment of absolute proof of them fucking media integrity on such a massive level it would be with what happened with Sherrod. Now, of course, the Agriculture department is partly to blame jumping the gun on this bullshit without actually checking to make sure that how she was taped was, I dunno, editied to make her look bad.

But in the first two days of the coverage Fox News basically assaulted her and called her a racist. Even some people asking for her to resign and saying radical things like, "The Obama administration is associating itself with radical people." The thing is that the video came from BigGovernment.com heavily edited and its flat out been proven that what they took was taken out of context and they flat out just fucked up in attempts to destroy a differing political administration.

What did they do recently? WHY BLAME THE WHITE HOUSE OF COURSE! Cause it was THEIR fault for jumping the gun on these stories being reported and not actually checking to make sure that it wasn't edited or anything like that. You know because it's the White Houses job to uphold media integrity and honesty. They have pretty much distanced themselves from anything that they literally say the day before and now go on to blame the administration for firing the woman before getting all the facts.

I know Fox News pisses me off but they have stooped to such a low level of shame that I can't even begin to express my rage at this issue.

Final Fantasy VII does, however, have the groundwork for a great RPG story and when I was young and had not experienced the finer aspects of storytelling, Final Fantasy VII really was the deepest story I had experienced. Now I remember it for what I thought it was, not what it is now.

Same thing for me. There is a nestolgia aspect to playing the game for me and about three months ago I played the game again. But I stand by my viewpoints albit not as articulate as I wanted to put forth.

You can definitely salvage a great story from it. If you tightened up the dialogue, fixed up the pacing, attached more importance to the side characters and in some circumstances added a little more exposition, you could potentially have a great work of fiction.

Probably, but I look for what it is now rather than what I could have been. Maybe if they go through the remake that many rumors put out then I could be an interesting game. However, I wasn't going through this as a game (not as much at least) but more how it would stand up compared to literary works and the guy using FFVII as the example of how video games can transcend the media form it is and, quite frankly, I don't think it stands up.

But the fact that you play as the characters does import some inherent attachment to the characters and the story, which is why people may feel able compare it to some greater works of fiction where you have to be told about characters rather than be them.

Age has changed. Gamers now feel more attached to a character they have control of, even if its a linear plot, than if they were reading about one in a novel. Now, I love video games, but I think the comparison differs vastly. No video game has truly transcended its form in literary or art. It came close in the late 80's and the early 90's when the came out with those fun adventure games. Quest for Glory and the Monkey Island Series come to mind of the best example of what could be slightly considered a literary work.

And I do think Sephiroth is a great villain. He did have some interesting depth behind the things that he was doing, and in some circumstances I did manage to feel sympathetic.

Meh, personally I felt he was one deminsonal trapped behind a veil of depth. If you cut down to basics its a bad guy who wants to become a God. Throw in some stuff about his mother and all that addition crap in the compilation and things may seem more complex, but I'm juding FFVII as a singular game right now.

Also, the compilation games/movie weren't very good at all and I'm judging them as games alone. I thought they just weren't fun.

It just makes you look like an idiot.

Bitch ass fuck slut cunt licker.

Not really, and you are kind of contridictory by assuming an opinion over a video game is like a Democracy. I am only right to myself and I provide the opinions. It's up to you to agree or not. No more ,no less.

I'm probably going to get backlash from this, but I don't care.

Final Fantasy VII isn't as great of a game as people make it out to be. I mean it's allright in terms of the gameplay elements, but almost every other aspect just isn't that good. For someone who grew up playing the older Final Fantasy games and other ones that's plots weren't as convoluted as this one.

I'm gonna break it down to you why I felt compelled to make this topic.

Recently Roger Ebert made an article somewhere along the lines of wondering why gamers would burn "Huckleberry Finn" in a large fire than give any video games up. Huckleberry Finn is great literary works while video games tend to be, "Go here, shoot something, repeat." Ebert has been blasted by the gaming community claiming that video games will never be art whilst many gamers with their thumbs up their asses tend to disagree. The new debate is trying to compare it to literature. This is what annoyed me the most. Many people trying to refute Ebert's claims keep bringing up Final Fantasy VII as some great literary masturpeice if it was put in novelization.

REALLY!? Final Fantasy VII? Really. That's the game that you are going to bring up as a great peice of literary comparison. A game with a spiky haired amnesiac and a Mr. T ripoff is a great literary comparison. THAT'S the one you are going to use to make your argument. Cause if gamers pin all their hopes on this one game as a comparison then I'm afraid I'm going to have to agree with Ebert on this one.

I'm going to talk breifly about the gameplay before I move on to the plot as a whole.

In terms of gameplay Final Fantasy VII is simplistic, but solid. You got your basic attack, magic, summon and items like all other games with a ATB system. The only problem is that it forgoes easy and that worked for the other games for something else that pretends to be complex. Let's face facts the Materia system isn't complex as it'd like to be.

We have a system that now dictates that you no longer really require the use of every character. Some call that a blessing because it gives them the oppourtunity to pick their favorites and adjust them accordingly. However, this now basically shits on the old Jobs systems in favor for a blank slate. Anyone can be anything. Again this sounds like a blessing, but its actually a dumbing down of the action. Let's say I have three characters who are basically some sort of fighter. I make one do summoning, the other do attack magic and the other do status effect. Then I switch the characters out and give the same shit to all the other characters. Yup, then what's the purpose of the other characters? Not much. Nor does it give any special limitation, other than taking away HP or STR, to give you incentive to use the others. You can pick the three you want and that's it. Done deal. It now makes things fairly boring unless you are hardcore and just decide to amp everyone up, but unless you have no life, no one really has that time. This may seem like a flimsey argument to some and if you like that, then fine, I'm not going to knock it if you like it for that reason. But for someone who's looking for a challenge it basically creates an illusion of complexity when its rather simple and kind of stupid.

Also, there is no way to skip the summoning spells. Cool at first (at the time) it has now become a countdown to my next birthday by the time I finish summoning Behumut ZERO. Seriously, I don't even bother with that one because it take for fucking ever.

Now the story.

Who played the Jedi Mind Trick on everyone to make them believe that Final Fantsy VII's story is some masterpeice. Read Cormac McCarthy, George R.R. Martin, Stephen Crane or any great author and tell me if Final Fantasy VII's story gives you the same chilling affect as the stories these men write.

It maddening, convuluted and flat out retarded.

This story is this, in a nutshell.

Cloud Strife is an ex-SOLIDER working for some eco-terrorist group out to destroy power plants that suck up the life energy or something. Along the way they find out some bad dude named Sephiroth is alive and find out that Sephiroth destroyed Cloud's town because he went crazy with mommy issues. Along the way we have Aeirith who tries to stop the guy from destroying the world, with what basically amounts to stopping him with the power of love, and she gets stabbed in the face (spoiler alert). We later found out that Cloud actually made all his past life shit up and his friend, Tifa, neglected to tell everyone despite knowing the goddamned truth. He's actually pretending to be some other guy who really doesn't even matter in the plot until all these fucking sequals and prequals came out and they go kill him in an act of pure revenge. All the while they somehow move out of some Mega-Steampunk type setting out into the middle of fucking nowhere. It's like leaving New York to find yourself in Oklahoma all of a sudden.

Along the way we have characters who are pretty much...well...pointless.

Aeirith plays a small role and is pretty much forgotten until the very end of the game.
Barret is a Mr.T ripoff and a stereotype of what the Japanese think a black man is.
Cait Sith is fucking annoying and pointless.
Yuffie can be said for the same.
Cid is basically all the other Cid's with the addition of mysoginy.
Vincent managed to be cooler in the spin-offs, but was emo as hell in this one.

Sephiroth as the end all of badasses falls short especially compared to Kefka from Final Fantasy 6 who actually ACHIEVED his fucking goal. Really, his entire motivation is his misinterpritation of what going on around him and then having mother issues. Who thought this plot would be a good idea?

Time for the flaming! C'mon, I'm prepared. I knew what I was going against when I made this. Do your worst because in the end I know for a fact that the plot of Final Fantasy VII will never hold up as greatness in any literary circle.

Moron.

Also, what makes a classification as a World Power? Well lets break it down then. It sould be GDP, Military Strength and the ability to influance politically other states.

China-It's GDP is rising, but they have yet to reach the ecinomic level the United States has gained even while we are in a crippling depression. In terms of military they may have large numbers, but they do not match in technology especially in naval and small arms strength. They also hold pretty much little to no political influance world wide.

India- Again has a rising GDP but does not match the ecinomic level the US has gained even while we are in a recession. They have a shitty military compared to ours and they only hold influance in their own region.

Russia-Blatant fact is that they hold little to no great influance or strength that they held while they are the USSR and still have a long time to even think to recover back to that kind of power.

Also, many people argue that we possibly are starting to live in a world wide intergrated system that soon enough there really isn't going to be a superpower anymore.

Speaking of a Left-Wing coup.

Listen, you are speaking from your point of view as a partisan right-wing/conservative personality. The fact that you are so quick to defend the Tea Party suggest to me that you like to demonize the left because you really think its borderline evil.

Then again I could be making broad sweeping statements like the guy who said the Tea Party is filled with idiots and racist (I'll get to them in a minute).

I DID mention the Tea Party simply because they seem to be the ones most vocal and the moment and seeing signs, protest and hearing from Tea Party members themselves it seems to be a dream to have a violent upheaval.

Will they ever do it? No. Simple fact: they are a protest group and not a political movement. It's a protest against the left. That's all. Not a very good one either. They can't be a group because they have no central leadership, no clear defined goal and a loose make-up of people most of which have either been hijacked by the Republican party or hold their own central ideas whilst being loosley affiliated with the Tea Party.

Can I say this with a shadow of a doubt? No and I'm sure someone will want some sort of statistic out there wondering if I can back up all my claims. But I can only take what I know from reading and experiance around those group members to tell you what I think of them.

Out of all the flaws anyone wants to put them in here is one I think would be hard to refute unless you are just a die hard supporter: Out of Touch.

They are seriously out of touch of whats going on around the rest of the country and certinaly oblivious of ANYTHING going on outside of the United States.

When they pick some of the dumbest candidates ever like Rand Paul who said he wouldn't vote for the Civil Rights act, then he said he would, but he stood by his statement and being so out of touch that his idealism blocks what is essentially right.

How about Rick Barber who loves using war and military metephors to take down the evil left-wing regieme by placing political ads that literally say, "GATHER YOUR ARMIES" while having a discussion with men dressed like the fucking Founding Fathers. Or the Ad he put out with Abraham Licoln saying that taxes were a "form of slavery". I remind you that he's supposedly Tea Party backed.

Or the 16 Candidates in Florida, SIXTEEN, who all agree that the Republican ISN'T Conservative enough.

How about that woman who wanted to take Harry Reids seat and suggested that we barter chickens for our health care. Oh, and she REFUSED to back away from her statement.

Like I said. Out of touch.

For a young person like me seeing all these candidates do and say stupid stuff like this just really makes me wonder what the fuck these people think they are doing.

The Possible American Coup. Posted July 7th, 2010 in Politics

Could it happen? Who knows?

In these times our country is quite possibly more polorized and seperated than ever. We live in a political world, at the moment, where more people are aligning themselves to liberalism or conservatism with more people going to conservatism. The gap between them are widening and they seem to demonize each other all the time for political game or a fools argument between Americans.

We have crippling underemployment with nearly 20% of Americans being underemployed or unemployed. This is leaving people with intense animosity towards the US government and buisnesses.

We have a terrible gulf disaster.

Two wars that seem endless.

Serious doubts on the spending that Congress does.

Not to mention the approval rating of Congress is at 22% while the President is at 44% an all time low for him.

Yes, the military, has a very high approval rating of up to 74%. People seem to put all their trust in the military yet have no trust in our civilian leadership.

To me we have all the ingrediants with no cooking pot for it to happen. Our system is too well defined for a Coup d'Etat to happen in this country no matter how much a Tea Party person may scream and shout about the Tree of Liberty.

If there was ever a time for a Coup to happen in this country it could of happened during the Great Depression, oh, and it almost DID! Short story, if you don't want to read the page, is that a group of business leaders from Wall Street set themselves up to oust FDR and set up a Facist regieme in the United States out of anger from FDR's new policies with the New Deal. They tried to get Marine General Smedley Butler to help, but made the fatal mistake of not figuring out if he'd be okay with it or not. It failed before it even could get to the planning stages because he told Congress on them.

Which is kind of scary because now we are in a serious similar scenario like last time. Crippling unemployment, business leaders and Americans furious at Washington, crippling war, etc, etc.

Only...it just doesn't seem likely and very improbable. In the end if it happened you'd have to have military leaders who would listen to an order like that, then the Pentegon to agree, then the bases to agree, then (in the end) the American people to want something like this to happen which leads to our great free country.

We are a people raised with the idea of being revolutionaries. Take away our freedoms or do anything that doesn't seem kosher and we'd get pissed. Not violent, but the possibility is always there for us to do so.

Thoughts on this subject?

I believe the Tea Party is losing its strength and support by the American public which I am very glad.

They held a LOT of support during the Healthcare debate which many Americans did not enjoy or want, but now there is way too much radical stuff that they support, insane candidates and moves way away from the center that the moderates and independents that did support them are not doing so anymore.

Rand Paul is a good example of this trend as he just makes the dumbest comments over and over again that it'll surprise me if he wins the state hes running in. The dumb comments include saying that he wouldn't vote for the 1964 Civil Rights Act and said that Obama's pressure on BP was "un-American".

Then we have Sharron Angle who wants to abolish a lot of federal agencies including the EPA, Department of Energy, Department of Education, and the privitization of Social Security which has been very unpopular with voters. She managed to beat out that "barter with chickens" lady while managing to downplay her past with Scientology.

THEN they want to repeal the 17th Amendment which gives us the direct election of Senators in elections. They believe by doing so it will give more power to the states which just shows how insane and idotic they have become.

Because of all this and their dwindling support I have so much more hope for the future.

No Vote For Republicans This Year. Posted May 31st, 2010 in Politics

I won't do it. I refuse to.

I just can't get why the hell the Republicans are attached to such a lunatic fringe at the moment. I'm of course talking about the Tea Party. Yes, I unapologetically consider them as a lunatic fringe. Their ideas of good things like ended the deficit and decreasing some Federal corruption is completely bogged down and drowning in a swamp of crazy and misinformation. They are birthers, paleoconservative, far-right, sometimes racist (fuck you they are), ignorant on many levels, advocating violence (fuck you they are), Sarah Palin loving, and the list goes on.

The Republicans are supporting Tea Party backed candidates and on the simple ground of this I refuse to vote for them. I can't do it. I am a moderate and I refuse to attach myself with that kind of element that is vastly to one direction regardless of the slant.

I have arguments with my mother and due to an extreme generational gap she doesn't seem to realize why I just can't get behind them. Maybe because I decided to branch out from far out fundamentalist Christianity and maybe have a little common insight to realize that not everything we do is according to the will of God. The topic also devolving into how we are living in the apocalypse also is a nice topping on that shit sundae. Oh, and she supports the Tea Party.

Anyway, that's a little detour to the end of my topic.

Stop it Republicans. The Tea Party is not the voice of the people. They are not "Real Americans". Every other American on whatever end of the political spectrum is the voice of the people and now you are setting yourself up for a following of essentially dangerous Nationalist who want things to go back to the way they were AND devolve past the 1964 Civil Rights Act.

Oh yeah, that was the nail in the coffin you fuckers. Rand Paul saying the Civil Rights Act is bad because he thinks its bad to force businesses to let black people actually eat inside a fucking restaurant. Which led into an onslaught of Tea Party and Republicans in a poll actually backing up Paul's claim blinded on this idea of an absolute free market with no government control or insight is actually good for this country when its been proven time and time in our history that, no, a lot of businesses don't have our best interest at heart. Which is sort of hypocritical when they want some of their heads on a platter.

I now have to actually down the line vote for Democrats who have spend the better part of 4 years with their thumbs up their asses and coming up with bad ideas that are usually reserved for the Republicans. What happened to the "no idea" party? I was comfortable with that.

I won't back down from any of my claims because all of these Tea Party candidates have given me serious doubts about the road this country is going down.

Which is sad because the Democrats really annoy me as well...those smug fuckers.

You And Politics Part Ii Posted May 30th, 2010 in Politics

About 2 and half years ago I posted a topic detailing my first impression of the politics forum on Newgrounds. It was a mess in case any of you were wondering and here's the original link: http://www.newgrounds.com/bbs/topic/8616 09

Now that 2 and half years have passed how does the Politics forum fare now? In shocking moment is got even more retarded than it was when I was first checking it out and a lot of it has really nothing to do with what I originally posted. Before we continue I'd like to point out that I'm not a perfect person nor do I retain a detailed knowledge of laws, constitutionality and how the whole political process works. Sad part is neither do a majority of you which brings me too my first point...

1. Your lack of knowledge is substituted by misinformation or shit you (or someone else) made up. In this great political world facts or just basic knowledge seems to go by the wayside in favor of just spewing out whatever written vomit seems to be spewed out of your brain. Some of it is very elaborate bullshit while other things seem to half-asses and given no thought at all. If there seems to be an issue at hand in a topic someone has to have an opinion even if they know jack shit about the problem. I think this has to do with problem number two...

2. This place is fucking stuck in a death spiral of partisan squabble. Where the fuck did the middle ground go? Whenever someone gives their opinion on an issue it seems to always be a left leaning one or a right leaning one with maybe a few blatantly ignored middle ground guys because the left and right always love arguing with each other. It's like a old western shootout of jackassery with the moderates becoming collateral damage. Even worse is, it doesn't matter if its from anyone on the political spectrum, someone proves psychology right and refuses to believe a dead on fact because it doesn't conform to your current spin. Now granted I'm kind of glad that we can get some health debate because Politics had been just started to shift from its heavy left-leaning tendencies with more of the right coming in. Except that the result was just what I said above. Because of this we end up with...

3. Tired old topics and debates that provide literally nothing new. Go ahead and skim through the first three pages of Politics. Notice something? Yeah, most of them are boorish and redundant. How many China topics can you have before we get that they are evil commie bastards. The debate has turned into only what some people think are clever, but the topic is far from that. Yeah, I like current event stuff, but I also would enjoy some more high style debate like the further polarization of American politics or asking why do people of same political and religious beliefs flock to each other? Intellectual debate is shoved aside for, "The government sucks because of this..."

Allright, that's all I have.

I'd like to point out that I'm not targeting anyone specifically and everyone on here has been guilty of this at some point or another. Know that I'm just trying to point out issues that I think could make this forum better, but in no way do I see shit actually changing because people are stuck in the old way of, "I'm right and you are not here is why," style of argument.

I've said what I have to say. Feel free to throw stones at me.

Response to: WH offer to Joe Sestak Posted May 30th, 2010 in Politics

Sad part is that the Republicans have been jumping at any excuse to impeach this President. They will go after it. Which, to be honest, I see sort of as bullying. As if just being a Democrat is an impeachable offense. If they did it with Clinton and do it with Obama we are going to start seeing a pattern here.

Speaking of which, YES, they are going to do it. If Clinton can get impeached for getting a hummer in the Oval Office then Obama can get impeached for this.

Response to: WH offer to Joe Sestak Posted May 30th, 2010 in Politics

Also the White House felt like they owed Specter one because he switched from the GOP to the Democrat party just so you know.

Response to: WH offer to Joe Sestak Posted May 30th, 2010 in Politics

Sadly, the law wasn't broken. It was unethical for sure, but no law broken.

They offered him a position that involved no pay. The law that they are accusing Obama (I guess) of breaking is only really meant for pay worthy state type positions. It was set in place to make sure no one tries to give out bribes to people who vie political favors. In relation to, "If you vote or do something favorable for me I'll give you a nice position in the White House with great pay."

You also need to remember that he didn't actually abuse the Office of the Presidency because Sestak was actually qualified for this position that he was offered and the President has the power to choose who he wants regaurdless of the reasons.

Finally, people need to remember that as the President of the United States you are also the head of your political party. They were trying to get Sestak out because they thought that the other guy was more qualified or they felt like they needed him to keep the PARTY strong.

Is it right? No. Is it illegal? No on that too.

Say what you want, but that's the truth.

It's not going to stop the witch hunt against the President though. So we'll just see how this pans out.

I have no problem with an average citizen owning a firearm if they go through the right process to get it. However, your view point is slightly skewed on the idea that everyone should own a firearm, "just in case". Are you the fucking paranoid that someone is going to break into your home that you need to have a firearm at all times? A large majority of break-in's happen when the people aren't even home and there pretty much isn't shit you can do about it BUT call the police and wait for them to arrive.

Also, that whole idea that it takes the police 30 minutes to arrive is a myth. I know a couple of police officers in my city and if there is a 911 call then they fucking book it especially if its a break in. Yet, if you still want to own a gun just in case then I'm fine with that because that is your right as protected by the second amendment. We have it, so suck it up.

What gets me is that most pro-gun people, other than the fact that they are overtly paranoid that the government is going to take away their guns, don't know simple fucking steps to have gun safety. I never handled a rifle that much or any gun before I joined the Marine Corps. They hammered it in our heads to have complete muzzle awareness so you aren't blazing it around and off someone on the off chance there is a round in chamber. I, at one point, decide to go hunting with this one person because I haven't done it in a very very long time and I felt like an animal needed to be the vent of my frustration. This guy supposedly had been hunting ever since he was a kid and while I was walking ahead of him he had a loaded fucking rifle pointed just over my head. I was so fucking pissed. We give people the ability to have weapons, but these things kill. Guns kill people. Simple fact. I won't back down on this issue there NEEDS to be a system set up in this country where people have to learn to take weapons very seriously. In fact our gun laws Federally are more laxed than anyone would think. There NEEDS to be a federal law that says if you are going to buy a weapon you need a license that says you took a class and you know how to use it. Thing is they have been less restrictive since the Clinton era and there is no indication that Obama is seeking to reverse or put in strict legislation. Anyone who says that is flat out lying. Period. I don't give a shit if you use a speech or try to quote him when he was a Senator. If he hadn't made a mention of it while he's in office then he's not doing it. Until then you are just flat out lying and basing all of your facts off of speculation.

Just like the gun owners who flipped shit because the automatically assumed Obama was going to put a ammo tax in which, by the way, is absurd. Gun shop owner told me it was the best business he ever got in a long while. In fact the Gun and Ammo market have the best business under a Democrat President making Democrats, ironically, mostly pro-second amendment.

I am in favor of absolute liberty, but not at the expense of another persons life. Take it or leave it as you will, but you can't gamble on something that can kill and do it quite well.

I don't know.

Make a joke?

Why would anyone want to read a simple, hastily-written synopsis of a game?

A lot of people are just plain unfunny.

Literally Explain Video Games. Posted May 10th, 2010 in Video Games

This is a topic where we literally describe old school video games in hopes to get the funniest outcome. I mean it. In the best way possible just explain in detail, how you see it, an old school video game. By the way, at best, don't go past the N64 or PS1 because those usually have plots and its no fun when you are just explaining the plot.

I'll go first to give an example:

Mario Bros. NES

This is a game where you play as a red suited Italian midget with an oversized brown thing on his face. You run around open plains filled with blocks. Oh yeah and some of these blocks have some sort of question marks on them. You can jump on them and they'll pop out random stuff including flowers and Mushrooms that have mold on them. If you eat a moldy mushroom your midget grows man sized, but once he bumps into something he becomes a midget again. There are weird things in this game too including brown things that look like butt plugs, evil weeds that pop out of pips and turtles with wings. Your goal is to save a princess and by doing this you have to fight this giant turtle with spikes on its back over a pit of lava. On some instances you can eat a flower and manage to whack off fireballs from your dick.

Then you end your explanation with: And that's "name of the game". In this case I'll say, "And that's Mario Bros."

Have at it!

At a friends house the other day. She's a girl already has a boyfriend, but we are good enough friends to where I meet her family. The father used to be a pastor and a Navy vet and the mother does some Bible studies or something to that effect.

I walk into that house and it was like a shrine to Jesus. Everything in that house looked like it came straight from the Christian store and all I can think is, "Oh boy, now there is trouble in River City."

Turns out they are good people and cooked a great meal for all of us. Some of the best pasta ever. There was a prayer before we eat something I haven't done in a long time. All of a sudden during dinner her boyfriend stops by and proposes right there. Not my first choice for proposal locations, but it was a great time for her and she cried.

The dad said, "We need to celebrate!"

They are drinking this welches sparkling grape juice which I found to be a bit odd. Then the dad, who had been fairly kind to me the whole time and a great man, turns to me and says, "We don't drink, but if you'd like we can go by the store down the road and pick you up some liquor."

"Yes, sir! That would be great!"

I didn't know if he was an expert in these things or not, but he got me some tequila as the mother was inviting friends and family over. I drank that hard and not a single person gave me one of those angry stares nor did get mad when I offered them a drink. Got drunk, probably the only person who did and it made the event a whole lot more awesome.

A FORMER PASTOR BOUGHT ME LIQUOR! This man has a straight shot to heaven!

I tried that line on a girl once.

She slept with people that wasn't me.

You'll be surprised to know that every law out there has complicated language just like this. Just because it doesn't specifically say that "A doctor may willingly withhold information pertaining to potentially life threatening or compromising conditions of the fetus from the mother." doesn't mean that they can't do it.

Besides, I'm not entirely sure why we are arguing it since the bill got struck down.

I'd worry more about the new one: http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20100503/ap_o n_re_us/us_okla_abortion_law_hearing
