Not exactly. 720p doesn't support HDMI but the cable that you plug your 360 into a standard definition also has 4 or so inputs that aren't used (Right audio, video, left audio, etc...). Then when these are plugged into your TV there is a composite switch with two settings: TV and HDTV. You would switch it to HDTV.

Oh I see, so its pointless getting a HDMI cable and using that in my 360 HDMI port to my TV then.

And if you're going to use it for playing, there is no need for a fullHD, I've played PS3 on a fullHD and didn't notice much difference compared to my TV.
But that's only my opinion, in the end the choice is yours.

To be honest I'll more than likely go with it then, 32 inch is plenty big for me right now.

Right cheers for that, so simply plugging my HD cable from my xbox 360 to the TV will give me a HD quality picture (the best it can do that is)?

May sound like an idiot but what is a tube?

In theory, yes. But in reality, there are a lot of TV's out there that claim they're awesome but are actually complete shit. If you end up buying a TV, make sure you visit a best buy or something just to do some comparisons. For me, I chose Insignia for my ~32in HD tv.

I did visit a few stores but they where much more expensive than the deal than one place I found online, £250 for a 32 inch HD ready TV, I thought it was "too cheap" but it has 32 customer reviews and still holds 5 out of 5 stars, so I'm guessing it must be pretty good.

Cheers for the reply. So it will still pretty damn good then?

Right so I've read that HD Ready isn't full HD and to get full HD I need to get one with 1080p on, what I need to know is will there be a massive difference between HD ready and Full HD on a 32 inch when playing xbox 360? I've had mixed opinions when asking people, a lot are saying I won't need full HD unless I'm going 40inch+.
