Definitely depends what kind of situation you're in. Facebook for example was at first only allowed for college kids. It only recently broadened to kids in highschool, and then to everyone. On a college campus, facebook is ideal for finding out about events, speaking with classmates you don't know well, and keeping in touch with friends in general. If I wasn't in college, probably wouldn't even have a FB account. I see that myspace is mostly used nowadays by musicians and models, which must be it's ideal use.

I know all of the Creative Suite but very rarely use Illustrator. What are the advantages? I do a lot of advertisement posts for clubs on my campus, but always saw photoshop as a happy medium because the posters are small enough to not notice any difference if I had just used crisper vector graphics. The only time I've actually used illustrator on a large scale was to trace over an image of a poster I found in an anime that I really liked, so I could blow it up to a few feet without loss of quality to be able to print.

That's a good point. I guess it's just a fault of the english language to give multiple implications of ending your own life the exact same word.

what kind of programs you working with? I do such work on the side, was minutes from attending a couple schools of the subject such as Savannah College of Art and Design, and Full Sail. But I decided it was more of a hobby and I didn't need such schooling until later in life. Are you still working with flash or have you moved onto things like maya, 3dsm, zbrush, etc?

It's definitely fair to experience depression, whether it be as simple as a relationship breakup or as severe as war trauma. But it isn't fair to end your life, at the expense of others in your life who still care about you. Suicide isn't painless when you leave everyone in pain, after you're dead and gone. It's a matter of whether or not you accept being selfish, since I find suicide to be quite a selfish act.

I laugh at a lot of offensive things, but I couldn't bring myself to laugh at this. Granted her movements are comical when she's not running or walking backwards, it's just so sad that she has to experience it forever.

A computer shouldn't have to be top-notch to simply browse the internet. Any computer will receive browser slowdowns in the presence of hefty flash-based ads. Granted many of them don't cause problems, there are still some out there that are not only not optimized, but also contain annoying sound files and the like that are just plain malicious :/

I like the show, watch new episodes every friday when it airs in Japan, I just grab the raw from whoever is streaming it in highest quality. It's long and drawn out and is likely to come to an end soon, but the storyline is okay enough to stick with. Though i'd never be able to walk into an anime convention, hang out with the anime club, or wear a naruto headband pussydeflector for holloween simply because the anime community freaks me the fuck out. I do also watch other anime targeted to more mature audiences, and enjoy discussing them with people who actually have a brain. But the people who take it too seriously really do ruin the vibe.

Mods wouldn't even be necessary if users treated the forums better. Most of the time, a mod has to lock a poor topic because users continue to post in it, without realizing that such a topic deserves no discussion. It is then up to the mod whether or not to ban everyone involved :P

Was under the impression Aion doesn't have free trials yet, considering their forums are still recently asking for one. They have free trials over on the eastern side of the world in Korea, but such a privilege leads to gold spammers even finding their way onto American servers to spam.

My dad sent me this link after I told him about my recent trip to a walmart, that only lasted a few minutes. Those few minutes in the mile-wide store were enough to horrify me to never go back. It's another world in there. It's not like just a few people are weird, but every god damned person doesn't look real
