Try importing another CD of yours and see what happens. If it again doesn't catalog properly, then your media player may be a little whacked out.

So you bought a CD, imported it into the media player you're using, then noticed that none of the songs were labeled? You have to have an internet connection while doing this, so the media player can access the CDDB and update your tracks accordingly. Else you'll have to enter in the names yourself

There is literally nothing you can do. Though you can accept the fact that scores mean nothing. If your friend cared enough about his music for people to listen to it, he'd talk to flash artists to use his stuff in their animations, not just 5 his songs every day in hopes that it will hit the top lists.
