I had a go at dubstep before, I uploaded it (piano wobble) linked in my signature ( I think) 0.o

If that's the kind of drop style you're looking for, I can hook you up with a guide to how I achieved it, of course, that track is not dubstep, just an attempt (my first in fact) I will try again at some point, or may just stick to doing music how I've always done it. just make what I feel like making regardless of trying to achieve and just go with the flow,

There weren't samples used in that track, it was done using LFO on certain instruments in FL, if you're not using FL I can't help

I think it's more to do with how unhealthy those overweight people are, and, it's generally of their own making and is something they can do something about, but, they generally don't.

Let's be clear here though, there is a difference between overweight and morbidly obese people. a bit of meat on the bones isn't a problem, too much, obviously has negative health effects.

Sadly this is almost true, not for selling them, but for (mostly) taking of drugs, injectables like heroin and the like. It's a sad state of affairs when doing so prevents the facilities from being used that need to use them

Why not use both?

You've no doubt noticed differences between the two sites, so use that to your advantage. you can split your uploads between the two sites. Decide which content you want where and go with that.

As for the music theory thing, yeah it's nice and extremely helpful. But there are plenty of really good, decent musicians that get by without it.

All you need, really, without music theory is a good ear and good timing.

I think some people (not naming names) are being a little bit harsh.

However, I think a fair point has been raised!

Basically, if you're going to use peoples music in your videos, I'm pretty sure everyone here is ok with that, but, if you're going to be making money from the videos you make, I believe it's only fair that you compensate the people that assist you by providing you with the work that they create.

Obviously, it sounds like you're starting out and you may have to brush up on some copyright issues as well as the Creative Commons license.

You have to credit the artist, you risk having your videos pulled and channel suspended if you violate this due to a disgruntled musician filing a copyright infringement claim against you.

That being said, you should definitely negotiate some kind of arrangement with any artist that you decide to work with on this.

I wish you luck and feel free to check out some of my music, if you would like to use any, we could negotiate some kind of arrangement.

This could end badly.

A PC is adequate enough for music production, good music can be produced on both platforms equally well.

The biggest difference and it's the one that sways the advantage towards a Mac is that. PC's come in a huge number of configurations which complicates matters. I won't list them here, anyone that knows enough about PC architecture and system design could tell you what all those different factors are.

Microsoft always has a challenge on its hands having to allow for so much variation with the hardware to ensure that the OS works on as many of those as is possible (within reason), they don't always succeed, but they certainly try.

Apple has a bit of an advantage in the fact that, they make both the hardware and software, they know how to push the hardware to its limits their systems are consistent and so it's easier to take advantage of those systems when you know exactly what's going to be in them, with regards to the hardware.

I'm generally a PC guy but I don't hate on Apple, they do make some nice stuff, albeit overpriced and they run a slick marketing machine.

Wouldn't necessarily say one system was necessarily better than the other, there are advantages and disadvantages to both, it's really down to personal preference at the end of the day.

That's not a message I've seen in a long while.

Two things though, as was said above, not only is a good idea to add more RAM, but, you should check the processes you have running.

Not sure what software you're running and how much, but wow, it's a pain when it eats all your RAM so easily. Check what processes are running and of those try and eliminate any that may not be needed.

Also, without making any assumptions, be sure you're running regular maintenance on your system, obviously viral scans and anti-malware, but make sure you're doing a defrag at least once a week to help keep things running nicely. cos, right now whilst you're memory is running out like that your computer will be using virtual memory, which, in case you didn't know is actually your hard drive which equates to slow response times from your machine.

One temporary solution to boost available memory, on Windows Vista upwards is their ReadyBoost, sling in a flash drive in a spare usb port and this can act as additional memory, certainly faster than a HDD (Unless you're using an SSD) but is slower than RAM due to the read/write times of USB ports.

Anyway, that's my 2 cents

After putting the full unzipped folder into the vst folder instead of the .dll alone it worked like a charm though.
