Thought it might be helpful to whomever sings the song.

No worries!
I was only trying to be helpful before, wish you luck on your project

Mastering is not just "brickwalling" it, that's pointless (and bad practice anyway). There's so much more to it.
It can make a vastly huge difference in the final sound, you can emphasise the elements you want the emphasis on and what have you, it can change the feeling of the track aswell.
Bad mastering is instantly noticeable too and I'm not sure this is just me, but, I've managed to make myself nauseous by experimentally bad mastering before! Seriously!!!
There's a lot to it though, it's something I would say takes a whole load more practise than the making of the music itself, it, in itself, is an artform.

I still don't know what it is, but I feel it deep down, like I have a small grasp of story and characters. It's as simple as a desire to animate something from the heart and soul, something that you feel means something to you. Now onto the song I need.
The character I will feature in this animation will be singing. She is female, and I will have artwork of her that I will show through any friendly PMs.
The song must be soft, pleasing to the ear. I may also add an echo effect myself to your sound file, though it depends on how I feel it will fit. I know how to use Audacity and such. Please note that if you do make this song for me, it will be subject to possible effects and echos that are going to be featured in the animation.
Please do the song A Capella. I don't want any actual instrument-born music in it. I just want a simple, beautiful A Capella song that my character would sing in the morning while looking over her garden.
Finally, make the lyrics relate to either the back story of the animation, or some kind of point to get across. I will tell you the details I want for the lyrics if you contact me in a PM.
I won't be able to pay you at this time. But, if you want, I can scrounge around.
I'm a little unsure of whether you intend to animate based on the song, or whether you have an idea in mind and just want a song that fits with that idea.
If the former: then I think it would probably be much more useful to post the images you currently have here for artists to feed from, relying solely on PMs for private showings will only hinder your project by causing unnecessary delays
If it's because you're concerned your artwork may be stolen, well, if it's an animation you're doing, I don't think you have anything to worry about, it would be just a time consuming to rip off your still art as it would be to create a new one for an animation. You can watermark your image to protect it.
If the latter: you need to help the artist by giving them your vision.

That would be amazing and we would be truly thankful for your contribution!
I opened a bandcamp page yesterday for this project, I figured the tracks that the album is comprised of, can reside there.
What I would like to know is, whether the artists should have these tracks freely available anywhere else or only on the bandcamp page where they would be sold for donations!
I'll take thoughts from all participants on this subject and consider taking the consensus view on this and see what everyone else' opinion would be on this.

If you want to fork the extra dough, go for it. Apple is closed source, so if you are new to computing you might consider its lesser option range a small advantage, but its not really an advantage to be stupid with computers, and production probably isnt for you if thats the case.
Windows isn't any more open, it's just as closed as Mac, so that's a moot point really!
plus, for the reasons I state above in my post in this thread. Macs are a bit more reliable, but damn, way more expensive
irrespective of whether people like or hate him
He still has mad skillz, Eminem still has game, he's still great at lyrical acrobats
So bandcamp is read up on, signed up and account created!
So, Who would be interested in creating a piece for this charity album? There will be a particular theme, I think 12 tracks perhaps would be a good number!
Who's in?

Something like this was started a while back here.
No idea whatever happened to it or where it's standing at the moment.
Cool! I'll have a read through and see what their approach was!
I've seen Bandcamp listed here, I've heard a little about them, will see what that's about and whether it's an option that could be used for this potential project.
I have, approximately a 2 month window, so, no rush and plenty of time to see who would be interested in contributing. I say 2 months. That gives me more time to develop the website further as well as the fact that one of the trustees that I'm working with is in Australia for a couple of months.
But that's when we'll be ramping up the promotional efforts. There's talk of a local radio show picking up a piece, plus a campaign involving a dress auction and lots of other bits that are in planning, not by myself but others.
I'm essentially working on the web side of things, including the website, and here, etc...
And yeah, so, an album is something we'd like to do, with a bit of a theme, so, if anyone would like to express an interest in contributing a piece of music towards this that would be awesome!
I don't know what happens regarding copyright and all that jazz, ultimately if any contributing artists would be ok with donations raised making their way to the charity to deliver on it's goals, that would be amazing

HAHAHAHAHAHA
You're doing a mighty fine job of that already!
You don't need our help on that, at all
Just a random question!
But I'd like to see if anyone would be interested and perhaps contribute any idea on how it could, or should work
I'm mulling the idea of compiling an album, I may or may not be able to spare the time to contribute myself due to some other commitments, and timeframe, etc... but...
Anyway, just wondering how many of you would be willing to contribute towards this project idea, of a charity album for which to sell as a fund-raising method, all proceeds to go to this particular charity, I won't go into specifics such as theme or which charity, but just wondering whether it would be something anyone would be willing to do?
And any suggestions on how to approach such a project? like, how to approach the album, with several artists? how would the order of tracks be decided? etc... that kind of thing!
thoughts!?
Ahh, ok then fair enough
I used to work at a repair centre, repairing Dell equipment, it's possible they've improved things since I worked there but, I tell you, they used to seriously cut some corners to ensure they could sell products within certain price points, of course, cutting corners always results in bad products.
Hope they serve you well.

Wow, there's just so many Sytrus snobs!
Sytrus is pretty good, considering it's free and bundled with FL, has heaps of customisation and if it's boring, it's cos it's not being tweaked enough!
There are some (though not many) tutorials on Sytrus and creating sounds from it across the web and youtube has some tutorials.
But, once you start exploring other Synths, in comparison it then (at that point) gets overlooked and then shown little love, next to those newer, shinier synths.
Also, for whatever format you're converting into (mp3). Try to convert from the highest quality you can get, to minimise any loss that can happen through conversion.
Set your final file bitrate as high as the destination website will allow for (in this case: Newgrounds), again, to try to maintain the highest quality file you can get.
This is something I've tried to find on many occasions and usually my google-fu is up there with some of the best of them!
As for the sound like it coming through a radio, that can be achieved with EQ and the right effects, not sure which but I know that's one way it can be achieved!
SoundChris, if you have a source, I love it if you would be kind enough to share it!
for the same reasons as above really, don't often get a lot of a chance of working with vocals, usually difficult to source.
Switch to a different ISP with a faster connection (If at all possible)
Clear your cache from time to time, although the use of cache can speed up your browsing, it can also have the adverse effect once it gets full. This is all dependent on how much browsing you do which dictates how often you should clear it. Clearing it won't have an immediately noticeable beneficial effect (due to your most frequently visited sites needing to load a fresh first-time) but this can impact browing speeds
How many users are using your internet connection? are there many devices sharing it?
Are you using wifi only?
If Yes, make sure you're using a channel that isn't being used by other wifi routers in your area! there are scans you can perform that will show you what channels are in use that are within range.
Are you able use a wired connection to your router? this can make a difference, throughput is much higher than current wifi technology and your connection has a vastly lower chance of a disconnect, unlike wifi.
Check background running programs on your computer, are there any in that list that shouldn't be? or that aren't needed?
If you're unsure, call up task manager and google the items in the list of running programs to establish what they are and why you need them!
Also, just a basic system maintenance tip: run a defrag regularly and other anti-malware, anti-virus scans.
OMG
Dem Colorz
But, no, in all seriousness I'm listening now, gonna hear this thing through. It's interesting so far, good luck to you on this project.
My only advice, make the page less like myspace circa 1998 and make it like internetz 2014 and you'll be onto a winner!

I noticed your profile says you're from Korea, so I would assume that English is not your native language, therefore, you might have problems expressing exactly what you need.
Sorry mate, If i've offended you I'm sorry. I don't know whether it is or isn't a language barrier issue, I'm erring on the side of caution to try and see if I can be of any help to you.
If the image above answered your question, and the answer was "yes", then, back to my original suggestion: You need to be scouted!
Also
Even better than that, when you do upgrade and if you have an iDevice or Android device, Image line released an app that can control FL from, it is freaking awesome
