To evaluate how strong or weak a given currency is, there are several analytical steps you can take to measure certain key criteria, which include (but is not limited to):
- economic forecasts (projected job growth, gdp growth, etc)
- the current and projected rates of inflation/deflation
- the state's money supply
- the state's credit rating
- bond/security yields and the overall health of other debt instruments
- central bank policy
Etcetera. Now, the thing I've been dying to know the past few years, is what are the fundamentals within bitcoin? And, more importantly, how does bitcoin share any sort of resemblance with currencies you can trade with on FOREX? What on earth does bitcoin have in common with anything on the global currency markets?
When you say "Real" currency, what exactly do you mean?
Do you mean "Fiat" currency?
Economic forecasts are definined by a huge number of factors, most of which dictated by the worlds stock exchanges, that combined with banks who set interest rates, etc... it's a very complicated set up
Current and projected rates of inflation/deflation, takes the above into account as well as GDP Plus takes into account employment/unemployment projections based on what is known for employment opportunities. as well as housing forecasts, borrowing/lending levels, etc... again lots of factors there's probably a lot more I haven't listed.
The State's money supply, if you understand the fundamentals of what "Fiat" currency is and realise that it isn't backed up by anything, other than debt you'll also see that it is little more than a gigantic ponsi scheme operated by the banking institutions with government collusion
state's credit rating again see point above.
I'll skip the last two points, as, it's all relative and mostly dictated by the banks and governments (to an extent)
the fundamentals about bitcoin!
Firstly, It's decentralised, it is run and controlled by all participants of it. No middle man, Point to Point transactions.
the way it shares resemblance, it's easier if you compare it to gold. It works in the same way gold does. It's a medium of exchange. "I'll give you this gold coin for your pet donkey" etc...
It has some commonalities, those of which are obvious.
the differences however, it is proving resilient, despite all these problems. It's had many in its short existence and it is still here.
It can not be counterfeited (This is one of its biggest advantages)
I'm sure I've missed some points, will reiterate later if that's the case

Check out my music and share some you have made yourself.
Or tell me who are your top 3 favorite dnb producers.
I'll share my list to start:
1. Black Sun Empire
2. Netsky
3. The Upbeats
not really in any specific order, just 3 artists I really enjoy.
I'm not a huge DnB head, I don't dislike it, some of it I like, some of it not so much.
I'll check those peeps out though, see what flavour of DnB they are.

Personally, I'm torn here, I don't want to take your rights away from your creations
on the flip side, I'd love to have tracks that are exclusive to this project so that we could potentially increase the likelihood of donations for the charity.
In addition, My thoughts are that the tracks could have temporary exclusivity, whereby they'll be exclusively available to this project for a period of 1 year and then perhaps a second charity album could happen in the future!
Please share your thoughts on this sticky issue.
as far as exclusivity; i don't mind it being exclusive to the charity. as long as i had the ability to add it to my soundcloud and share it as i pleased (minus the option of download of course) i'm fine for whatever imo. i'll even mention the charity as i share too. kill two birds with one stone lol
this will also require a bit of thought and research. is there a set timeline as to when this needs to be put together?
Ahh, I should investigate soundclouds options further. That sounds cool! sure, you can have it elsewhere and stop it from being downloaded. that sounds like a reasonable option.
Like I say, I'm torn but ultimately don't want to take your rights away as creators, I know how I would feel on the flipside, but on this side of the table I want to approach it cautiously.

I don't really appreciate you saying how useless mastering is when it is actually such a massive part of the processOnce again, I'm just giving my opinion and debating for the sake of argument. There are pros and cons either way, of course. I personally think that it greatly depends on what type of music you make whether it's even necessary or not. Apologies if I've offended you.
So yeah... No hard feelingsSure thing.
Geez, guys, calm it down!!!
Whilst there is no agereable "Correct" Way of doing things.
What we do know, is that there are these tools that exist, for the specific reason of shaping the overall shape and sound of the piece of music that has been created.
Obviously if they exist, there's a need for them.
I think they type of music is irrelevant and moreso to do with the overall sound you're aiming for within that particular genre. there's also the fact that, ultimately as an artist you want a unique sound, something that distinguishes you from the rest.
If you're aiming for a sound where the instruments are muddy and having a negative impact on the other instruments in the mix, then sure! you win!!! you've got what you were aiming for.
But, I'm pretty sure no one wants "That" sound

Weird, I use firefox as my main browser, ABP does work, if you configure it correctly!
I'm waaaay more overzealous, with tons more blockers for other stuff, mostly ad blocking and anti spyware tools etc... but I use chrome which isn't quite so overzealous.
I would recommend using a second browser for those times when your paranoia prevents things from working! chrome is good, ABP works well on that and other extensions, plus it's faster than firefox

Sometime I sit at work and suddenly I realize that I have a great idea in the head. However since I'm at work at there isn't anything for me to write the ideas down, I would try to memorize it until I reach home. Which this is a failure. When I start producing the song, that idea is nowhere to be found inside my head.
Hahahaha I used to do that too! I would be humming it (or rather, trying to) in my head which would seem like a flawless plan! ;) but sadly, that doesn't work either, someone turns the radio on or just starts talking to you and that's it!
But, saying that with the ubiquitous of technology smartphones and tablets, it's easier to take note of those ideas. Skulk off to the toilets or w/e and create a melody or drum pattern or w/e it is that's in your head!

In Hindsight, it's silly but at the time, whilst it's happening, it's a very real sensation. Much like anything, given enough practise you overcome those feelings and you'll master them as you master you musicianship.
