Definitely should be considered, but there are work-arounds, with careful planning it shouldn't cause major problems for any groups to work together.

If anyone can help me, please do, this is the first and hopefully the last time I'll need to hold a fundraiser for myself.

What will your business be?

like a drink driving test, if a forum poster has just woken up and they violate this rule, they get their hands and feet cut off.

zero tolerance, this should ensure there are no repeat offenders

HAve they ripped off the content too?

Or does that appear to originate from elsewhere?

Hey @TomFulp would newgrounds ever pursue any form of action against a blatant theft of the newgrounds name?

Or is it simply not worth the hassle of legal bullshit?

I would guess "no" for this, as I can't imagine it's either easy or even possible?

Just out of curiosity, will the multi-player element allow for a crossover between mobile and pc? as in, pc gamers playing against mobile?

If you're aiming for that, I do believe that would be a first, as, I'm sure I remember a test held by microsoft in the past, where they had console gamers playing again pc gamers on a particular game (can't remember which) and it clearly demonstrated that pc gamers had a definite advantage. It was some Alpha, possibly Beta test and showed them that it's very difficult to make it work fairly.

Regarding this project.

Have you guys got much of a track record in producing games?

Peter asked some other questions I would have thrown in, I got curious about the game itself, I know this isn't quite music related questioning, but am interested about the project.

I, sadly can't commit to anything else for the time being, but I wish you luck on the production of this game.

That's the zero-bomber problem, it's been around for years, nothings changes, never gonna change.

It's a bitch when it happens, for the exact reasons you specify "how do you know, how to improve it!?"

Don't worry about the scores, they're pretty meaningless, especially when all it takes is some arse to come along and do that, just try to encourage people to review, hope that they review honestly and don't fret about criticism, try to encourage it.

Yes and No

I'm setting it at around 2 Months, I can be lenient on this.

One of the trustees has left for Australia so I'm kind of aiming to have things ready for around the time she returns, shortly after which we'll be picking up the pace and a whole lot of things are planned to help kick things off.

Would be really cool to have this done by then, but there's plenty of time.

i was thinking put people who are familiar with a certain genre together. like 2-3 people work on a dubstep track, while 2-3 other people work on hosue or something. and then there are those who use live instruments as well and record their own stuff. so maybe those people should work together.

this is why i started the thread, to get some ideas going.

I think it would be nicer to mix things up a bit, gives people the opportunity to do something different, it pushes them in new directions, each party comes away from it learning something new, trying things they wouldn't have thought of, you'd be amazed at how that can turn out.

Another point worth taking into consideration.

Not everyone uses the same programs

Not everyone uses the same VSTi's

These aren't major problems, workarounds can be used to solve this (like exporting those parts as sound file, etc...) and/or use of midi files etc...

Their differences I think could go either of two ways, but worth pursuing, for sure.

so the objective of this thread is to get people together and discuss potential ideas and ways to go about doing this.

I have several ideas for this, though mostly not mine and some are from ideas I've read by others.

Depending on how many people you can get to come forward will dictate which if these suggestions could work or perhaps should be attempted.

Could get a couple or more artists to contribute towards one track, within this task there can be several approaches but best defined by those participating in such a task at the time of start.

could get several artists to contribute towards an album Much like this ;) a track a piece, or, combined with the idea from above, where each track could be collaborated on for the album, this could be interesting in itself, an album of collaborated tracks! to make it even more interesting, rather than the artists choose who they work with, the names (if there's enough interest) could be chosen by a third party to work together.

There's a few ideas
