It's sickening

In some ways I kinda wish that capital punishment be brought back, just for cases like this. But I know that wouldn't really be a good thing in the long run, our governments are already borderline fascist dictators as it is.

Or, we need Batman

the point you're missing here supergandhi64 is that, you're getting together to watch the film.

you can't really do both, if you do, then you're only giving approx 50% of your efforts onto those two tasks. everyone knows that, if you half arse something it usually turns out crap.

In the point of watching the movie, you're not actually taking in most of what's occurring, resulting in being clueless by the time the film ends. meaning, you'll either have to watch it again at some point or... ???

I would recommend you watch a movie with some friends at some point, you'll get the gist of this threads points then

Response to: Fair price for film score work? Posted January 20th, 2014 in Audio

Also, it could be worth taking into consideration how much they're likely to make from the projects they're working on, that your music is going to be used for.

This might give an idea for the upper limit of your price, but this is really just a vague valuation but something to consider.

You could perhaps have a rate based on length of material produced.
Or you could possibly factor in the time it takes to produce such a piece.

Whilst any one of these suggestions, on their own probably isn't enough to get a good idea on price to charge, I think some combination of these suggestions are probably worth factoring in.

Just my 2 cents

In this day and age, with all being equal.

No one can hit another person without expecting consequences, I don't agree with violence but I do agree with self defence. If a woman or anyone hits another person, they should expect no less in return.

Response to: Whats the most common crime in Asia Posted January 19th, 2014 in General

I get that this thread was started as an attempt at something funny usually referred to as "jokes"

However, for a joke, to be a joke, it firstly needs to be funny!

If it has to be explained = FAIL

Secondly, This thread fails to take into consideration the fact that "Asia" is, in some cases by some nations, only referring to a (more specific region) than the actual continent actually covers.

for those cases, the Asians for which they refer to, are mostly based in China and the immediate surrounding areas. Some people forget (for some stupid reason) That Asia is fucking massive and consists of several other nations.

What some people consider Asian, other people consider by their more specific nationality and this, I believe, causes confusion to some people and their responses have been, what they have been

According to some news show I saw a while back, the Deep Web has over 7000 TB of information, whereas, the surface internet, has like 10.

Yeah, don't believe everything you hear or see on Television. it's mostly fabricated. The truth is, no one can put an accurate figure on it. there's a whole load of it that isn't even indexed, unlike the surface web. although there are search engines on the deep web (which comes in a variety of forms) onions sites make up only part of the deep web There's i2p to take into consideration also with what they call their "eep" sites works in a different way to the other deep web that I'm guessing most of us here are talking about. but, anyway, despite there being search engines for the deep web, they don't index much of the content that's available, for the most part it's dependent on the sites that are being hosted and the owners of those sites can decide whether it gets indexed or not.

Also, not all deep web sites are available at all times, obviously, because of the nature of some of the sites on offer, they're only available at very specific times, those times can vary dramatically

Unfortunately you do need to follow stricter precautions that you would otherwise need to, absolutely no javascript whatsoever and there are other nicer things you should probably disable when using the deep web.

I'm fortunate in that I have been lucky to avoid the sickening aspects to the deep web, but I like exploring (just not the sick stuff) I'm more into the information that's on offer there

Jester has the right idea. There is literally no need to go to the Deep Web unless you're looking for Child Pornography, Drugs, Assassins, or other illegal content.

Actually

There's plenty more stuff there besides the things you list.

Depends on what you're looking for in life, and generally, what you use the internet for.

A lot of the news agencies, universities, medical facilities, as well as other organisations. Hell Wikileaks started its life there before it went public.

If you're only going to talk about the things you list here (as in the mostly illegal), then you're really just regurgitating something you've heard elsewhere

As for strongest drink

I had something called "Green Goblin" once, I don't even think it was legal for them to sell it, due to the uncertainty about it's alcohol volume.

But sell it, they did

Drink it I did.

I can't even remember what it had in it, it was very green and under UV light it became flourescent, a weird green glowy drink, tasted like shit and I wrecked in no time.

I never drank that again since

god damn I was so far gone though, made an awesome pavement pizza also :-)

for strangest drink

I recently tried "melonade" I didn't pay attention to the bottle, I did however see it's funky colour on the bottle, which grabbed my attention.

Wasn't until I got outside the shop, sat in car and started drinking it that It occurred to be that it had a bit of an odd taste, from which point I decided to explore the label on the bottle.

It wasn't terrible but I'm not sure I'd buy it again
