Response to: Newgrounds Levels Collab Posted January 12th, 2011 in Collaboration

I wouldn't mind taking a shot at this if parts are still available. If yes, let me know the part and levels and I'll get straight to work on it.

Voice Actors Needed For Sonic the Hedgehog Animation.

Voices Needed

Sonic the Hedgehog - Needs to have a cool/mature voice.
Tails - Any style except girly!
Knuckles - Deep with some attitude.
Main Villain (will be shown to the voice actor) - Anyone who has played the 360/PS3 Sonic game and knows what Mephiles The Dark sounds like.
(Eggman's voice has been chosen)

Anyone interested should message me with the name of the character they would like to audition for. I will get back to people as soon as possible.

Response to: Voice Acting Club Posted November 4th, 2007 in Clubs & Crews

I'm looking for a voice actor to do the voice of Dr Eggman for my flash movie. At the minute he is the only one I need. Please PM me if you are interested and I will send the script to be recorded. Thanks for your time.

Help finding sound effect... Posted October 29th, 2007 in Audio

I need a sound file of what sounds like something being dragged across the ground. Any ideas where I can find one? Thanks

Response to: Help - Change Symbol When Clicked Posted October 25th, 2007 in Game Development

It's OK, I've figured it out now. Trial and error works a treat. Thanks for your help.

Response to: Help - Change Symbol When Clicked Posted October 25th, 2007 in Game Development

Cheers, that's just what I've been looking for. Just one more thing: after the last frame/symbol how do I get it to go back to the first frame again?

What I want is to have a part of my Flash movie that when clicked changes to something else, such as it starts off as a rock > clicked > turns into a tree > clicked > turns in to something banana etc. Help will be appreciated. Thanks

Response to: Illustrator to Flash - Color Fades Posted October 24th, 2007 in Game Development

Please help me!

I'm using Flash 8 and Illustrator CS to create a my Flash movie. I ain't too good at using the tools in Flash to draw, color etc so I did some browsing and found that it can all be done using Illustrator.

The problem I am having is that when I import in to Flash, the color looks washed out and dull. I found a site that said it could be because Illustrator was not set to RGB which is what Flash works with, but I tried it in RGB mode but still no luck.I have imported as both EPS and Ai too. Do I need to upgrade to a newer version of Illustrator or is there a simple solution to this?

Thanks.

Response to: Help! Can't Hear Sounds In Flash!! Posted July 3rd, 2007 in Game Development

Erm.... no. Other audio works fine on my laptop.

I've had no trouble with Flash before and have always been OK using MX 2004, but the other day all of my SWF files on my system wont play sounds, even the ones created by someone else. It was only yesterday that I also found that sounds wont play in Flash itself after being imported. I've checked through all of my volume settings and they are fine. Does anyone know what could be causing this problem?

Thanks

Audio Volume Posted November 3rd, 2006 in Game Development

I'm having some trouble with audio in my flash movies. The background music is too loud and I can hardly hear the voices that I have added. Is there an easy method to sort this out, or a program of some that can do this for me? Thanks.

Png Quality Problem Posted August 14th, 2006 in Game Development

I'm new to flash and am having trouble with PNG images in Flash MX 2004. They have brilliant quality on the flash stage but when the movie is published they seem to decrease in quality. I have tried altering some settings such as changing image quality to 100% but no luck.

Before and After

Any help would be appreciated.

Hey guys. Bad news I'm afraid. My computer broke a few days ago, and I can't get it fixed 'till the 30th. Due to this, I can't continue my part, which really sucks 'cuz I was doing so well and enjoying myself. This has really pissed me off. I've put loads of work into this! :( oh well. Keep up the good work people. This is gonna be a front page masterpiece!

Yeah, I see your point about forgetting things, so from now on I'll work from beginning to end. The robot will be put back onto the now empty street, along with people running away. Like I said, it needs load of work, which is why you feel that it is incomplete.

Don't worry, the robot will move. I just stuck the design I made for it into the movie to show how it would look, but thanks for suggesting something :)

Geez, what a busy day! Hardly had any time to animate. Well, here's what I've been able to manage - Some new people, people in colour, a background and I've sorted out the part where the robot locks on to the lead guy. lol it all needs more work!!!

OK, this is some rough work of what I have so far. It's nothing special, but atleast progress is being made. I've also made a few changes.

Response to: Altered Reality Colab Posted August 4th, 2005 in Game Development

Yeah, come on guys. Not only will it be a great feature to have as part of the collab like Jack said, but it gives users the ability to recommend certain changes, or approve of what you have got planned so that you can go straight into animating.

Anyways, does anyone have any ideas as to how I can make the buildings look detailed, along with a great way to make things look like glass? It would be much appreciated. Here's the scene: http://img186.images..collabquickie7hu.swf

Thanks for sorting out my walk cycle. Learnt quite a bit from what you explained and altered. That's just the way I've worked in Flash, but if your tecniques are better for me, then I'm willing to adapt to them :)

By the way, you have left me a new arm pop lol, but I can sort it out (I think :s)

FUCK FUCK FUCK.

P.S. Sorry I was just venting...

Sorry to hear about your mishap. Something I learnt at college over the past year was to make sure you save atleast every 15 minutes just incase something like that happens. It's a right pain in the arse when it does happen though! I'd work on something else instead and come back to that tomorrow. That way, you aren't spending 5 hours straight on one picture.

Right you are, it is Frame by Frame.

OK, so my walk cycle is finished and coloured (about time), and I've also completed a design for my robot. Let me know what you think:

The 2nd running cycle looks better IMO. The first one looks like he's doing some sort of hop. Here's my walk cycle so far:

Some pieces are missing and are a darker tone, as you can probably tell. Plenty of work still needs to be done.

Seeing as you're helping everyone, could you do me a favour and help me with drawing hands. I've had to resort to using a ball as a hand until I can draw one.

I've worked with frame by frame before, but not much. So far so good though. Will post something here soon so that you can all tell me how to improve.

Everyone has created some great work so far :)
