I'm not usually here often, but I was trying to see if I could find an update on the story. I figured though since I didn't find that, I'd at least link to a better article. Kotaku isn't always the greatest info source.

It would seem the little girl was already being abused.

To account for all of the things I've done up til now, wow, a lot has happened in such a short period. Looking back, busting out the other 5 was a good idea. And getting my equipment back, that was just as fulfilling. The only thing that still haunts me.....is that room, the room I saw that thing in. It had his face...it had Kyle's face and I couldn't destroy it. The image of Leon running him through with my sword was still fresh in my mind. If only he'd merged with Joe before that happened.

Even still, just seeing Kyle's face, it froze me for at least one minute, but I quickly came back to reality when I heard troops stomping down the halls toward my direction. I took off, heading to the other cells, as well as my gear. And remember all of the sequence codes for their chambers, this would be easy, at least so I thought. Unfortunately for me, when I made it to where they were located, I had a nasty group of troops waiting on me. And of course, they all had their guns ready to blast me the second I breathed funny.

You don't realized how crazy you actually are until you're in a moment of such desperation that you would willing run to death in order to hold on to life. So, I ran head first right into the crowd, but I did get grazed pretty badly, quite a few times in fact. I was able to see the bullets coming and I could move to avoid them, but just barely. The first guy had a look of "I just shit myself" on his face as I drove my knuckles into his skull. He hit a wall very hard, and his helmet fell to pieces. The others were in such shock that they just stopped. I must have had an evil look on my face because the next person I looked at literally took off abandoning his fellow soldiers. And the next thing I said, even i didn't expect it from myself.

"Leave here now if you wish to keep your retched lives," it fell as if someone else was speaking through me, but those were my words. Though no less than I spoke, they scattered. I quickly ran through the doors an unlocked them all, opening them up to allow out the other Omegas. I find it funny and ironic that the five people I released consisted of two males and three females. But it was like Sam said, they all had the same scent as me. "Look, I've busted you out, and I'll need your help, let's just get the hell out of here, and then introduce ourselves afterward okay?"

They all harmonically responded, "Agreed!" And with that, I broke into the storage room, and got my stuff back, the others did the same. And again, soldiers showed up, ready to shoot, which for them this time, was the worst possible situation.

The bigger man stepped in front of me, "Let me deal with this". His voice was very deep, intimidating even, and his power was just the same. He put his arms up and they immediately started firing only to have their bullets blocked by a huge ice wall. Then he pushed it forward and the results, well, let's just compare them to a bug being squashed under a boot. We quickly ran to find some transportation.

After finding their garage, we took a big armored truck, and got the hell out of there. Alarms were still blaring, even louder than they were before, almost as if saying that we'd actually got away. Once we got some distance away and started slightly calming down, I was searching for any road signs that could tell me where we were. It took me some time, but I figured out what city we were in, and started driving toward Hunter HQ.

"So, where are we headed?" one of the ladies asked quickly noticing my change of direction.

"Well, to where friends are. I hope you guys don't mind me bringing you along, but I doubt you'd want to be stuck there." Then a thought hit me, they all met Sam. "You guys all know Sam right?"

Another person replied, but she did in an almost snide, rude manner. "You mean the 'Alpha'? I know I have, I think these others have too. Why?"

"We're going to go see him. So hold onto your seats, I'm going to gun it home!!!" I mashed my foot heavily on the acceleration to get back, I'm sure by now that everyone is worried about me.

I'll post the rest later, I've got to get to work unfortunately.

I'm sorry I haven't been posting, I've been thinking about it so much, but unfortunately, work and dealing with my family kind of took up a lot of my time, but I promise I will have a new post tonight, and it will be interesting. I need to account for all of the things DeAngelo did leading up to this new development.

Well, I got myself out, and in the oddest manner I'd ever thought of. Who would have thought that simply cracking my index knuckle with my thumb would have made enough noise for me to be able to escape? The subtle sound made so much of an echo in at tiny room, I was able to concentrate on it and amplify it enough to break the restraints that held me.

It feels odd to be running through this place with very little clothing on, the only thing remaining on me is a pair of underwear, black. Especially since I'm fighting of soldiers as well as listening to this screeching siren which has pretty much enabled me to be able to take out a large group of them unabated.

Over the loud speaker I hear, "Test subject 13A has escaped! I repeat, test subject 13A has escaped! Please detain immediately!" As if they could right now, even with the huge rifles they're carrying, I have the power of sound which, with them moving so quickly and heavily, they have given me a full supply of, but if I keep up like this, I'm going to tire out fast, I need my equipment back. If I'm to get out of here, then again, there may be another way.

I crashed through a door to a computer room, some scientists were in there, as well as in shock that I found them. The perfect opportunity for me to escape, and free a few others. I slammed three of them against a wall knocking them unconscious with my telekinesis. The last, I dove right into his mind, pulling all of the computer codes I needed from his mind.

I jumped behind his desk and started going through the computer files, obtaining the locations of the other 4 Omegas, as well as where my belongings were placed. I also stumbled across a top secret file. The recreation of dead Snugs? Cloning? Cloned deceased? Cary Winter, Steven Petty, Allen Roberts...Kyle...Ric...ther?

They've been cloning Valorians and bringing them back to life? Kyle is alive again? This is....it's just so wrong. They're playing GOD! I'll destroy them for this. I ran off to find my stuff, then it's the other Omegas.

Anyway, continuation coming tonight, peace.

Awaking from the mini-coma the gas put me in, I found myself in a lab. I tried to lean up, but I was bound to a bed with some very strong belts. My arms, legs, and torso were all tightly tied down. My hands were also covered in thick cloth, so I couldn't even use my fingers. Even worse, I couldn't use any of my psychic abilities to release myself. It appeared to be that Obsidian was laced through it, making it immune to my control.

I tried to use my pyrokinesis, that got me nowhere as well, the belt was fire proofed. I was about to attempt to use sound to pop the binding, but there wasn't enough of a vibration in the air for me to even push a standing penny. This isn't the ideal situation to be in, and much worse, I was probably being studied through some monitor for them to see my reaction.

"Are you comfortable DeAngelo?" I was a bit shocked that I heard Dr. Cozgoff, but there weren't any speakers in the room. It sounded as if he was speaking in my head, though I already knew he wasn't a Telepath, and this room had to have Obsidian based walls, otherwise I would been able to hear thoughts and send mine to others. "I know you're wondering how I'm communicating with you, being that there aren't any speakers in this room. I made sure that we sound proofed everything as much as we possibly could. You may not have even noticed that you are hooked up to a machine which will shock your body the second you make any noise with you vocal cords. I've watched you very closely, and have seen everything that you are capable of."

I tried looking around, but I couldn't get my head very far, though I did happen to see a thick plate glass window over my head. Ezekiel was standing on the other side smiling in a very obscene manner. "To minimalize the amount of power that you can build through sound vibrations, I have a head set right in your ears. The closer they are to you, the less waves they will build, and the better we can keep you confined. This creates a bit of a dilemma however, as we can't use any of out instruments to study you while you're awake. Nor can we gas you because the sound will allow you enough time to react and get out before the gas can incapacitate you. So now is the waiting period, either you tire out or we get bored. Which will it be?"

Wow, so I'm really doomed to be someone's guinea pig? Like hell, I'll figure a way out of this bullshit situation. These bastards can't hold me forever, it'll just take some time and planning to find a way to release myself that won't kill me. If I could only get something to vibrate enough to give me the juice I need and get out of here. Then the thought hit me. This machine that they have me hooked up to will vibrate when I make a vocal sound. Then again, there is always the option of burning the hand covers they have on me, if they aren't fire retardant.

Think DeAngelo, what can get you out of here? I have to figure something out soon or I'll be stuck like this for quite a while. And no vibrations means no food, so I'd eventually starve to death if I can't make any sort of noise. Chewing would make enough of a vibration to blow some of this stuff up. And that would make enough vibrations for me to escape.

"We have already taken a blood sample, and your DNA perfectly matched the other four Omegas, being just a slight bit different than that of Joe and Leon. We don't understand how it is that the Vampiric Genome is creating you and those like you, but when this mixed Human-Vampire line came to be, the cells kept trying and trying to make themselves stronger. You are all born of separate parents and have no physical relation to each other whatsoever, but yet, hear you are with matching double helixes." His voice was become more and more irritating to hear. I could feel my heart rate rising as well as my body's temperature going up. I still couldn't figure out why this man was familiar to me. "I wish I didn't have to do this to you, but you aren't willingly going to volunteer yourself for the study, and it may be the only thing left that will save humanity. Please do not hate me for fulfilling my duties."

Why should he really care if I hate him? This man is odd. The unfortunate part of this is that I feel fatigued still from that damn sleeping gas. If it wasn't for that I'd be able to get out of this place sooner. But maybe some time here will help me better understand what is going on. I closed my eyes to awake my brief slumber, which is the only escape that I currently have.

I came back to consciousness back in the mansion. I opened my eyes looking around me, my body felt like a ton of bricks. Pushing myself to my feet, I took in the scenery. Blood stains were smeared on the walls, bits and pieces of walls were missing, and the smell of gun powder was fresh in the air. Too very important things were missing however. My sword was gone, and Kyle's body was nowhere to be found. All that was left were the Magnums that I acquired when I first got pulled into this situation.

I stammered over to them and picked them back up, barely making it to the door. My head was spinning from that drug Mason used on me. Holding myself up against the wall, I was listening to the outside. There were voices and the stomping of feet, it sounded like there was a lot of commotion going on outside. The door was cracked enough for me to see that there were heavily armed soldiers out there. The military was finally deciding to get involved? This is going to turn out great, I'm stuck here waiting on them to come in and get me.

From the looks of things, there isn't much of a way to escape. Fighting isn't an option either, there's just too many trained soldiers, I'd be torn apart by the bullets alone. And it's not like I know where my sword ended up, wouldn't be the best thing to be taken out by my own blade if one of them has it. Then again, why didn't they take the guns? And where is Kyle's body? How will I get out of this conundrum?

My body was beginning to feel normal again, at least I'm not feeling sick and the world isn't swirling around. Mason and Joe are both missing, but I don't feel Leon either. The plagued vampires aren't anywhere near here, must mean that the squad cleared the rest of them out. I know that they had to come in here, but why haven't they taken me?

Something here doesn't seem right. They may be planning on capturing me, at least if I show resistance. Now that I think about it, this set up could be a test. Peering out the door only allows me view of three trucks, one of which is an ambulance. But from the number of soldiers moving around, there have to be at least ten transports out there.

Time to use my senses a little better. I can hear a heart beat very close in proximity to mine must be a soldier on the other side of the wall, probably ready to shoot and kill me if I come out swinging. What else can I possibly do? There aren't any safe escape routes, and even if I tried, I wouldn't make it out alive under these circumstances. My only choice is to come out and surrender, at least then I'll be able to find out what's going on.

So, I did what seemed to be the best idea, I walked out with my arms held up in surrender. Once I stepped across the threshold, the soldier pointed the barrel of his semi-automatic rifle right at me. A short man with white hair walked up to me wearing a white lab coat, a blue shirt, and black slacks. He seemed to be very happy for some reason.

"Ahhh, DeAngelo LocVor. You know, you are a very intelligent man, most other people would not have taken the time to survey their surroundings before running out of the door. I'm glad that you didn't, otherwise my men would have dealt with you on the spot." This little man was very pompous, but in his current position, I could see why. I would love to shove his tongue down his throat, but at the moment, doing so would ensure my slaying. "I've been studying you 'supernatural' types for years. Vampires, and you Snug/Valorian things that sit between them and Humans. I've got to say, you are quite the specimen, much like Joe and Leon."

"What about Joe and Leon? And who are you anyway? Didn't your parents ever teach you that it's rude to speak to someone without introducing yourself first?" I could be a little irritated, at least I knew I wasn't going to die, otherwise I'd be dead already. "Why didn't you just take me while you had the chance, and where are Kyle and my sword?"

"Forgive my indiscretion, my name is Dr. Ezekiel Cozgoff. I'm a Geneticist for the US Government. To answers your questions, the boy's body was moved to the medical van behind me. As for your weapon...I'm sorry to say, I know nothing of where it is." His name rang bells with me for some reason, it seemed familiar though I'd swear I've never met this man before. "You my friend are the 5th Omega of your kind. Would you like to know what happened to all of the others? I will tell you either way. We captured them, and studied them, trying to determine what causes the genetic pattern that creates those of you stronger than type Alpha."

I felt the flares in my heart build, his jaw needed to be ripped from his face. "You used them as Guinea Pigs? You're experimenting with people? What give you the right?"

"Don't act so surprised, we've been experimenting on people for years, far before we even knew of Vampires." He turned his back to me looking toward the sky, still speaking. "As for what gives me the right, well, I work for the Government, and I am fulfilling the duty that they gave me. I am simply doing my job, no matter the morals of the situation."

Fucking bastard, lives are not to be thrown away on sick assholes like you. That's what I wanted to say anyway, but I doubt that it would be that great an idea. "So you're the reason that they are dead?"

Ezekiel turned back to me, almost looking shocked. "No dear boy, they are very much alive. Though I wonder why you would think that they are dead? Why kill them when we can learn? Your bodies can sustain so much damage, and yet you can get up from most of it and walk away. Though you can still die like normal Humans, you gain many of the traits of your Vampiric Brethren, as well as some additional ones that neither side has been able to unlock. Through studying you and figuring out how you came to be, we may be able to figure out how Joe and Leon were made. Their DNA very much resembles your own, with just a slight change. Unfortunately though, we can't gain all of the information needed through only studying one of you, we need all of you to figure out what pieces are missing, and then maybe, everyone else can be saved."

"Saved? From what? Vampires?" I felt a bit confused as to what he was talking about.

"No my boy, Vampires aren't the threat to the World. A bit of an annoyance yes, but in a few months, the disease ridden rodents that you were intending to do away with will have been completely eradicated." He looked me right in my eyes, and he seemed to be very determined in what he was saying. "No, the real threat to our world will be coming very soon. And we need to know how you get your powers in order to stop it." He nodded to a soldier who gassed me, and I passed out...

How do you guys like that? I think this leaves a bit of an opening for something new. Can't wait to read what you guys say.

We've got to come up with a type name for this Valorian/Snug type that Joe is. Seeing as Leon split from him, that makes two of them, and we still have yet to come up with a name for it, even though it's been like 5 pages or so since Joe was turned. I'm voting on Tsuinsouru, which is Japanese for "Twin Soul". What do you guys think?

I killed all of the soldiers. "Not so tough now are you?" I asked them, I started to walk around, I felt Angelo's presence on a building, I go up and see Mason and Angelo, Mason was untying him. "Hey guys..." I said, I cut the rest of the ropes. "You're the reason Kyle's dead I should kill you." I thought. "No he will serve us Joe." Leon said. "Alright..." I thought, I heard more soldiers coming. "Shit." I said, I grabbed Mason and Angelo's shoulders. "Hold on tight." I said, I thought about the White Medallion base, we were covered in light and then we arrived just outside the White Medallion base, I passed out.

Continuation from last post.

"I would never join you or anyone like you Leon. I hate the shit that you are and what comes out of your mouth. I detest your kind." I pushed him away with my sword.

"You know, you're the only person I've come across who has a blade that strong? I still don't that physical sword is able to even contest the one I have right now, this is made of pure darkness. Your blade should be devoured by it, but yet it doesn't even get a scratch, that's a powerful weapon." he stepped back from me and looked over at Kyle, his gleaming eyes made my insides twist up. Leon wasn't here for me, he was trying to get Kyle. "You look pretty strong too, stronger than what Joe remembered you as."

Kyle wasn't very impressed with Leon, the look on his face showed a lot of hatred for him. "You've been the one manipulating my friend. You're the one that I will KILL!" Kyle launched himself at Leon, swing the golf club so hard at him that when it was blocked, wind blew by me from the impact on the blade. Leon himself as taken aback a bit, which gave me an opening.

I kicked Leon right in his jaw, and was trying to bring my blade down on his head, but he swiftly dissolved the sword he was holding and stepped back out of my range. Kyle ran right back after him, but was flung across the room into a wall. Knowing that I couldn't do the same to Leon, I chose another option. I used the sounds waves to make a wall and forced him back into the fireplace. He still somehow found a way to avoid being squashed like a bug.

Leon burst through the wall the fireplace was against, only to be whacked across the face by Kyle with the golf club. I followed it up by cutting across Leon's chest. He just narrowly back away enough to survive.

"Wow, you two are murder together. And here I thought that this would be easy. I should have known that you'd be preparing for if you had the the chance to attack me." Leon created two dark blades and came running right for us.

The first step, Leon swung a blade right for Kyle, but I stepped in front and countered it with my sword. This left me open to Leon attacking me, but Kyle hit his arm before the sword was even close to cutting me. With Leon left open I threw an elbow to his eye knocking him away a few steps. Leon recovered again, just in time to avoid being skewered by me. Kyle was able to hit him hard in the back with the 9-Iron that Francis used to use.

I heard Leon's spine crackle, and he screamed from the anguish. I cut off his left arm while he was still focused on the hurt Kyle gave him. Blood splattered on the floor as his arm hit the ground. Leon quickly jump a good distance away from us, but we were both hot on his tail. He healed his body and grew himself another arm. This was shitting, he could fix his body anytime he got hurt, which would be the complete opposite for either of us, we'd have to wait for quite a while to be able to fight again.

Kyle and I leapt at Leon, who'd just turned around, and attacked. He punched Kyle in the nose, then kicked me in the stomach hard enough to make me drop my sword. Leon picked it up and ran at Kyle, but I blasted him with another sound wave right through a wall. Leon hopped back through the wall and teleported me away. I ended up the hill outside the mansion again. I got up as fast as I could and flew down the hill.

----------------------------------------
---------Kyle P.O.V.----------------------------------
---------------

I saw DeAngelo disappear when Leon jumped back in, but I wasn't scared at all, I'm having this bastard's head for dinner. I ran right at him with my golf club and swung for the home run. It connected with his face, knocking him off of the ground and sending him twisting head first into a wall.

Leon pushed himself back to his feet, and ran at me, dragging DeAngelo's sword across the ground. I ran at him too, taking another big swing for his neck, hoping to hit his jugular. Deangelo flew through the door and saw us about to attack each other, throwing his guns at Leon. I swung the golf club at Leon and he swung the sword. I hit him right in his throat, but I got stabbed in my chest. I dropped the golf club and fell backward. Everything was slowing down as I hit the ground.

When I hit the ground, I could see DeAngelo running toward me, and I heard both of his guns hit Leon, but I just caught a lethal hit. DeAngelo's sword was imbibed in my chest, right in my heart. Everything started fading out, I couldn't hear anything anymore. Tears were falling from DeAngelo's face as he made it over to me. He seemed to be yelling to me, but I had not clue what he was saying. I and everything darkened all at once.

----------------------------------------
---------DeAngelo P.O.V.----------------------------------
---------------

"KYLE! KYLE!" He was gone, dead. Another one that I couldn't save. Why did he have to follow me back? Why didn't he just go to base? I turned my sights to Leon, who only stood with a malicious smile across his face. "YOU FUCKING LITTLE BASTARD! I'LL FUCKING KILL YOU RIGHT NOW!" I sprinted right at Leon and attacked him, but he caught my hand and stopped me. I punched with my other fist, but that too was also stopped. I started building power for a blast of fire, but he nullified my attempt.

"How do you feel now DeAngelo? Are you broken yet? You have nothing left to live for. You were trying to raise Kyle as your own, and look what just happened to him. Just like your worthless family, he too was destroyed." I fought to get myself free, but somehow he was able to keep me from moving. "I know you've thought about what I said before about being able to bring them back. You're thinking it right now about this pathetic trash. Face it Angelo, the only way you'll be able to get them back is through me. I'll leave you alone someplace to think about it."

Leon teleported us away to a building, a tall one at that. I was tied up by several of his goons, and they held my body over ledge. I was still struggling to get free, but there wasn't anywhere for me to get my arms out. They found and strong looking bar to tie the last of the rope too, and let me go. I fell and my face smashed against the brick wall. "Leaving you here will do you some good, it'll give you a chance to think about my offer. I hope though that you don't get found by any of your enemies, it would be such a waste."

"Fuck you Leon! FUCK YOU! I'll get free, and I'll have your heart crushed in my BARE HANDS!" I was fighting to free myself and I felt my blood pressure rising right to my head. I started to pass out from the stress but I kept yelling at Leon until everything went black.

Alright, it's finished, and it took me two posts to write it. I hope everyone liked it, this is the first thing I've felt inspired to write in a bit.

This battle was brutal, Kyle and I had taken out a about a hundred vampires ourselves, and with our three sniping helpers, we've been able to make our way to the door of the Mansion. I busted through the door, and the pressure hits me. HE's here... "Kyle, we have to be extremely careful, Leon's here. I can feel that bastard."

A few pasty faced vamps jumped at us through the open door, Kyle quickly turned and drew Francis' volcanic pistol, blasting them both through the chest. "Don't worry too much about me. I've got this covered."

The people who were here were running through the halls, but we couldn't see them. Kyle dashed off quickly taking point, as I followed behind him with my Magnums drawn. Tracking the noises, we came up behind them and a few of the unhealthy ones. Kyle killed the one in the middle, I took out the other two. There was an obese man on the floor breathing heavily, they must have been just about ready to pounce on him when we got there.

"Tha...thank..yo...uuuuu." He was quite shaken. Then a few others appeared from around the corner, probably having come back to save him, but we just made it there first. The only way I concluded this, they had their weapons already drawn, though it didn't look like any of them were prepared to really fight.

Kyle seemed to have this questioning look on his face, then his eyes opened wide. "Felix! That's the boy that got into Joe's cell when the Black Medallion was in control." He pointed at the young man, who looked to be in awful condition, having one of his hands missing.

"We need to get you people out of here, follow us, and you'll be safe. If we can get you all back to our facility, everyone will be taken care of, and Felix will get a new hand." I waved for them to come along as I started walking back to the entrance to this place, Kyle quickly followed behind me. I soon heard their footsteps only a couple feet back.

Felix however ran up to me, "You can really give me a new hand?" He looked a bit hopeful. "Will it be another person's hand, or will it be a prosthetic?"

"It will be a cybernetic prosthetic, you'll be able to feel things with it just as if you never lost it. With a synthetic skin over it, it'll look like it was your real hand." As long as we could get them back to our base.

I could still feel Leon's presence, I just wasn't sure of when he would attack, so I hurried everyone up, wanting to get them out of here before he could make his move. As we got back outside, the Vampires again swarmed the door, Kyle bashed in quite a few heads with the golf club, while I finished them with my sword. Fred, Shannon, and Cheryl started clearing a path for us to get back to them as soon as they saw us.

Kyle's arm got grabbed by one of the feeders, and before I could even help him, he took a pocket knife out, flipped it open and stabbed the thing through the heart. So much for him needing me. Once our path was opened, I sent the others up the hill ahead, feelings better to cover them from behind, Kyle went with them in case an Vampires tried to attack.

I sheathed my sword and unholstered my Magnums yet again, shooting into the crowd. Though that didn't last very long, I only had 22 bullets left, all of which got dumped into that crowd. But followed by that was an extremely large explosion that took out most of the crowd. I looked up at Frederick picking up his equipment and loading it back into the truck. Everyone else was already in it. I started running up the hill to hear yelling.

Fred looked at me, "Why'd you stop running up here? Come on, let's go."

I wanted to get up there, but I felt torn. "I think that I heard someone else down there."

Then one of the people with Felix leaned out and yelled down to me. "There was someone else with us, but she took off running when her Dad suddenly arrived, he followed after her, but we lost them."

Well, that made my decision, I had to go back. "Thanks, what's your name?"

He smiled a bit, "I'm called Technobird." seemed like a weird name to me, but who was I to judge.

"Thanks Techno, I'm heading back in to get them. You guys just go on ahead, I'll catch up to you later." I turned myself back and started walking down the hill.

"Are you fucking crazy DeAngelo?" Fred was clearly objecting to my decision. "We just cleared hundreds of those fuckers and hundreds more are on their damn way. You won't make it out of there alive if even one of them gets you!"

"I'll be fine Fred, just get those people back, and if you're that worried about me, then you can come back and get me when they are safe. Hurry up and go." I started running back down to the mansion, hoping to be able to get there and save whoever was left. "I'm not leaving people BEHIND!"

Fred reluctantly complied, as I heard the truck door slam and him drive off. I holstered my empty guns and unsheathed my sword again. I cut through those stick figure vampires without thought or hesitation, making it right back to the front door. I stopped for a few second to catch my breath, only to hear footsteps behind me. I turned quickly swinging my sword, but I stopped just centimeters away from my pursuer, which turned out to be Kyle.

"Why didn't you go with the others? You were supposed to be heading back to the base Kyle!" I was frustrated that he followed me out, and that I nearly cut him open. "I could have killed you just now, you have to be more careful than that!"

"I'm sorry DeAngelo, I just couldn't let you come here by yourself. I sneaked out of Fred's truck just before he pulled off." Kyle had already had the golf club in his hand to protect himself, I guess he figured I would swing ahead of time.

"It's okay, just stay close and please be careful. I know that Leon is somewhere around here, I just wish I knew why he hasn't attacked yet." I turned and started walking toward the stairs leading upward, I felt pulled that direction for some reason. But there was nothing that was going in this place anyway, everything was silent.

The pressure I felt from Leon was far more heavy than it had been only minutes earlier. I just followed my instinct and swung my sword right in front of me. A surprise Leon appeared just an inch away from my blade's reach.

"I guess you were expecting me right Angelo?" His voice may have spoken out sarcasm, but his face couldn't hide the shock that he was feeling. "I'm going to have to plan my visits to you much more thoroughly from now on."

I pulled my sword back up from the ground and held it in front of me, ready to chop Leon to bits. i swung again, but it was in vain, he simply blocked it with a newer sword, I'd assume one that he'd made himself. "Still a bit too slow, but you'd gotten stronger, though you're still not a match for me at all Angelo. You should really just join me and save yourself the pain."

After waiting hours, I had sent Kyle/Joshua to bed. I guess Joe wasn't coming back, thanks to the dumbass. I got a call from Battle Hawk, a very interesting call. "Hey Hawk, what's up?"

"DeAngelo, do you think that you can do me a favor? I need you to postpone that attack on the facility that you found under Leon's control. Someone hacked into the Silver Medallion's network." Wow, not even gone a full week and he already calls for me.

I was working my way into turning him down. "Wouldn't it be better for your...?"

But he cut me off before I could finish my sentence. "The hack wasn't a small time deal. Someone who knows a lot about computers broke the network. But unless they understand ancient Vampiric Text, the info that they have is useless. Unfortunately, the hackers got hacked by someone else. I'm sending people to deal with the second group, but I think the first may be a group of humans. The way the encryptions were broken, none of the patterns match anything in the old language. The second group was positively identified as a group of feeders. They were fishing for a meal, which cements that maybe whoever was surfing our network, is going to need help, and soon." That was really an ear full to hear. But if there were people that could be helped, then I'd rather do make that first priority.

"Alright Hawk, you got me interested. Can you send me the coordinates? I want to do this one as quickly as possible, hopefully we'll be able to get there before anything bad can happen. Anyone that might possibly need medical attention is going to need to be picked up asap." My first rescue mission, hopefully it will be successful. "I'll get together a team now for it."

He seemed like he was relieved a bit. "Good. I'm sending someone with them now, it'll be a couple days drive from where you are, I hope you get there before any carnage goes down. Be on the look out for Rick, he'll be there within the hour."

"Got it. Make sure you get those feeders, no telling what kind of hell they'll raise." I hung the phone up, and got together a team. Didn't take me long, it was myself, Kyle, Frederick (demolitions/weapons), Shannon (marksman), and Cheryl (medic). Rick showed up and gave me the address, then took back off. The five of us would be enough to take this mission on. Kyle jumped in my truck with me, and the others took Fred's utility van. I put in the address on the GPS, and we were on our way.

Hawk wasn't kidding though, it literally took us two days to drive to the location. When we got there, the place was swarmed with hungry looking vamps. It was a pretty sizable mansion, and I could detect the faint scent of human blood and rotting flesh. We'd parked up on a hill to keep a safe distance from the mess. I hoped that they didn't actually get to the people we were there to save. Fred was setting up a something that looked big and like it would cause a lot of pain. As I looked on, I could see a huge difference in these vampires and the ones whom attacked my family. The ones here had very pale skin, almost as if it was dieing off of their bodies. The seemed to be very malnourished, hands and fingers were bony, their rib cages were showing. All except for a select few out of the group, who seemed to be standing in the very center of the horde.

Frederick was finished putting together what I assumed to be a rocket launcher. "Well D, look at this, it's going to be gruesome, but it'll give us enough time to get in, extract any survivors, and get right the hall back out."

"Hold on, I think I'll need you three to stay here. Kyle and I will go in. You three can provide cover fire for us, to insure that we get back out. We may also need you to launch off a second one of these to get back." Fred's face seemed a bit more excited.

"You mean, I get to fire it twice? In one mission? Well then, I'll gladly give support!" You'd think that he was a child. Shannon nor Cheryl seemed to mind the idea either, only giving me a short nod.

"You up for this Kyle? Do you think you can handle this?" I wanted to make sure he knew what was going on before we got ourselves elbows deep in this situation.

Kyle just looked at me with a grin. "I've got it, this will be nothing. We're running into that massive crowd of bloodsuckers to save whatever people are left alive. We're hoping that they all are and that we can take them back to Hunter HQ, to safety. I know I can handle this."

"Good. Fred, whenever you're ready..." Fred fired, Kyle and I began running right down toward the crowd. A boom and a huge explosion took out the front of the crowd, shaking the ground beneath us. "HERE WE COME YOU BASTARDS!!" Shannon, Cheryl, and Frederick were taking shots into the group with .308 cal rifles, thinning us out a path leading right up to the "healthy" vampires. This looked like it was going to be a fight.

I'm sorry if I threw things off a bit, I'm going to make DeAngelo go after Leon's base soon, but this little side mission to save Felix was a golden opportunity to give Kyle some fight experience, it'll help with his next fights in the base battle. I'll write the battle to get into the mansion soon.

I was reprimanding the person who fired on Joe. "What the hell where you thinking? We have surveillance cameras set up for miles out there, and you didn't even use them, then started firing on someone who we consider an ally?"

He seemed a bit scared at the moment. "I'm...I'm sorry sir. I didn't think about it and found it to be strange that e would just show up. I..I was afraid that it would be Leon..."

I really felt like laying into his jaw with my right hand, but I steadied myself. "If Leon was anywhere near this place, don't you think that Sam and I would have noticed? They may look alike but they are two completely different people. You better hope that...you know what, you're going to be on toilet duty for the next 3 days."

The sheer look of disappointment on his face was enough for me to see that he felt a tad hurt. At the moment, I really didn't care, my plate was heavy enough without having my soldiers shoot on friendlies. Samuel however was very busy with the recruiting process. He got our facility well-manned in about two days. He'd actually recruited Humans and Vampires, but not the bloodlusters that we're out to deal with.

I left the outlook post to head back down toward the main entrance. I had a feeling that Joe would be back soon, and if he was, I wanted to be there to apologize to him directly. When I got down there I saw Kyle waiting, but from the look on his face, I knew it was Joshua. "What's wrong now Joshua?"

"One of those new recruits is some creepy old bitch that keeps following me around. She keeps trying to tell me about some fucking misfortune that will 'Befall' me. Fucking crock load of bullshit. If I see that old fuckbag one more time, I swear I am going to choke the life out of her. And what's this about some idiot firing on Joe? Did you rip his balls out and feed them to him?" What Joshua said had me wondering about that dream vision I had. Was he the one that I saw Mason standing over? I hoped not.

Before I could let myself get lost in my thoughts, I had to reply to Josh. "I gave him toilet duty for the next three days. He's got to clean all of the bathrooms in this place, I doubt he'll be misfiring on anyone again."

"That's close enough I guess, bastard deserved worse though. Then again with way some of these people eat, he'll have three long days ahead of him. I'm going to enjoy mocking him the whole time." A glint of excitement crossed his eyes.

I felt especially happy at the moment that he wouldn't be able to do that. "I'm sorry Josh, but in about a day and a half, we're making our move on that base we found. You'll get to bust some heads in exchange though."

That works just fine for me, all of that fucking training Kyle and I went through, I'm ready to show it off." He was rubbing his hands together with an unholy grin. "I may be able to even beat you at this point."

"Don't go thinking that you can beat me just yet, you've got a long ways to go before you're that good. I doubt that you can even beat Christopher at this point." Christopher is our head medic, and a decently good fighter.

"What!? You don't think that I can beat that pushover? You've got to be shitting me dude, I'm way better a fighter than he'll ever be. I feel fucking insulted hearing that." The boy threw his arms together in a pout. He doesn't seem so big and bad now, not with that angry kitten look on his face.

I patted him on his head to help his little ego. "Don't feel too bad about it. Christopher is a mid-level fighter, you'll be better than that soon with a little bit more work on your timing and coordination. When Joe gets hear, you can train with him until we have to leave, at least after I talk to him first and find out why he came. It's the main reason I came down here, and I'm assuming the same for you." He just looked at me and nodded his head. So we waited, planning to be the first ones to greet him.

It's okay, don't worry too much about it. I did however come up with a message for people who inadvertently write themselves in or on someone else's story.

This is the pm that I will be sending to people who just jump in and don't ask first.

We're not really taking anyone else in the Vampire Survival Story Thread at the moment. If you would like to join in, please contact the OP for the thread, mmarage. Please refrain from jumping in like that again, it will save everyone else trouble and drama. I am only contacting you this way to keep the thread from being filled with arguing about your posting. As you can see here, Nighthawk27 is the one and only exception to the rule, and we're keeping it that way. Thank you again, have a nice day.

Other people who would like to just comment however are very much welcome.

We finally made it, we were in our base, and our new home. I still had this feeling of tension built up in my heart. Leon was a cunning little bastard, I had to figure out what he was up to. Good thing is, with Sam around I could spend my time plotting to take down one of those bases the little fuck has.

"DeAngelo, are you okay?" Kyle seemed to be worried about something. "You look like you're having some sort of issue, a personal one."

I patted the boy on the shoulder. "I'm fine Kyle, I'm just trying to figure out how I'm going to stop Leon. He's been trying his damnedest to get me to join him, and I'm not about to do that. Not so long as I have you and the others to look after."

Sam walked up behind me and nudged my shoulder. "What do you mean while you have us to look after? I'm still looking after you."

"You know exactly what I meant Sam, stop acting like I was insulting you. Let's just get inside and set up. I've been getting a weird feelings lately, and we need to hurry and get this place going to recruit some more people." I couldn't help but shudder, as if everything was going to come apart around me.

It didn't take us much time to get the lights on, and the computers set up. Luckily we had enough people come with us to get our infirmary, kitchen, and weapons department going. There were still a vast amount of other places that needed attention. Sam and I started planning the assault, it would only take about 6 or 7 of us, among which myself and Kyle were going. Sam would stay behind at the base, I needed someone who could run things while I was gone to be in charge. Unfortunately it would take us a couple days at least to be fully prepared.

My only true worry now was Mason. Would I be able to convince him to stop attacking us and to help me deal with Leon, or would it just be a worthless attempt? Each time I see him, it's as if he's slipped more and more to that painful darkness in his heart. The only thing I fear is if Mason has taken himself so far down the well to not be able to get out.

After much deliberation and discussion, I left to go settle into my new room. I laid down in my bed, thinking about my family. I missed them so much, there were no words that could describe how badly I wanted to see them again. I drifted off to sleep, deep into it, the darkness became a scene very familiar to me. I was home, and everything looked as it did hours before we were attacked by Cisco's goons. Lisa was in the kitchen cooking, and oh how wonderful it smelled. Homemade mashed potatoes, homemade gravy, steak, green beans, and corn.

Then it hit me, Leon was replaying one of my memories. "GET THE HELL OUT HERE YOU LITTLE PRICK! STOP FUCKING AROUND IN MY HEAD!"

Everything became a desert, and the asshole was standing right in front of me. "I knew you would figure it out sooner or later. Anytime you sleep, I can break right into your mind, I could even alter your memories if I wanted to."

I could feel my blood boiling, he crossed into an area I held very precious and dear to me. "You are worthless Leon. I'll make sure that I kill you when I find you. There won't be any escaping."

"Why are you so angry with me? I showed you something that made you happy. I could give you your family back. I know that they are dead, but with your memory, I could recreate them for you." Leon was still trying to persuade me.

"I want nothing to do with anything you'd have tainted. My family could never be brought back. A person isn't just memories and feelings. Each of us has a soul, and nothing that you could do would ever bring that back." Even if the possibility sounded nice, I wasn't going to let myself be tricked into being so stupid. "Using the people most important to me won't give you what you want. I'm not so easily stirred. Go, find someone else to try to manipulate, I won't be the one."

I forced Leon out of my head and I woke up, it was 3:33am in the morning. Not the best time to be waking up. What he said made me wonder if it was even possible to have another chance to protect them.

It doesn't honestly, but how come you've got to give some reasons as to why Leon is using Mason, and how he can keep track of him. I can assume that he took some stuff when he raided the base of the guy who was giving Mason his orders. I'm still trying to come up with a way that Mason could actually frame DeAngelo, that would also fit with the "vision" he had. Currently working on the idea.

I had questioned Hawk's thoughts on allowing Joe to go see Mason, but then again, maybe it was for the best. Joe needed to learn about himself and his control over his emotions, what's a better test than to face the person who killed those closest to you? I know I failed that test horribly, otherwise Cisco would still be living.

"Alright Victor, what is it that you wanted, why did you come back?" Battle Hawk doesn't waste much time, then again, he was the same way with me.

"Look, I took sometime to do some 'soul searching' after DeAngelo gave that speech in the auditorium. I left here and reflected on myself, the mistakes I made, the problems I caused. I want to make amends for all of the innocent people who I hurt." There was a deep and true conviction in Victor's eyes. "Even if I am not particularly your biggest fan, I know you can sympathize with my situation. I just want to be as much a help as I can be."

I figured that since he was putting himself out there like this, then I would extend a welcoming hand. "Well then Victor, I'd gladly take your help with my new organization. You've got experience that I could use, and know somethings that could be helpful to me."

Victor looked a bit perplexed. "I wasn't intending on joining you, but I'll keep that in mind."

"I wasn't looking for an answer right now, but please think about it. Whichever direction you choose, I don't mind, but I have to get going. I need to rest a bit and get up early so I can move my group out of here. Luckily for me I've had Sam's help, otherwise it would have been delayed another day." I got myself out of my seat and started heading for the door. "I'll leave you two gentleman to your conversation, good night."

I walked to Kyle's room, I wanted to check in on him before I went to bed myself. Luckily he was in there, sitting down reading a book. "What's that you got there?"

"It's a book by that author...James Patterson. It's called 'When the Wind Blows'." He seemed to be rather buried in the book.

"I think I've read that one, if I remember it well enough, it was really good. I hope you enjoy it, but you should try to get some sleep, we'll be leaving in about 8 hours. I'm headed off to my room to get some rest, good night." I closed his door and left. Just before I could make it to my own room, I heard a guard screaming.

"MASON'S ESCAPED!" Why do they still have those fucktard guards around here that served in the White Medallion? They aren't any good at keeping people detained. I ran as fast as I could for the nearest exit, which just happened to be the closest one to the holding cells. I heard a blaring crash and just made it around the corner to see the Mason hightailing it up the hill. At the speed he was moving, it would take me a while to even be close to catching him.

Well, looks like one of our biggest threats is out on the loose...again. Hawk and Victor just rounded the corner when he was out of sight. "That fucking Mason. How did he get away again?!"

Victor looked like he was about to laugh. "You still have those incompetents from the White Medallion in your ranks? They are only good to guard the kitchen."

Hawk turned toward Victor with eyes that could cut through stone. "I hate to break it to you, but the guys that were in the holding area are the guards that were once loyal to you and the Black Medallion."

"That's a shock. Either way, Mason has again got free. Whatever he's planning is going to be just as dangerous as Leon. I have got to get survivors and pull them away from the battle that is sure to unfold." I started thinking about it, we were missing someone anyone. "Hey, has anyone seen that Felix boy? I remember Kyle mentioning something about him, but I have yet to actually meet him."

"Well, there was a boy who somehow got into Joe's cell when Black had him prisoner, but I haven't seen him since the battle." Victor told us, he looked concerned for the child's well being.

"I guess there's no helping it right now, if he survived that battle, then I'm sure he's okay. I'm going to get some rest, Mason hunting will have to take a back seat for a few days while I set up my base. Again, good night fellas." I left and headed right back to my room. This would be my last night sleeping here, and I needed that sleep for the road ahead. I took my equipment off, and laid down in the bed, drifting to sleep.

I found myself in a very strange place, it was a barren neighborhood, old newspapers were blowing around. The stench of blood was everywhere, as if left there, rotting for days. A child's head was laying on the ground, the body nowhere in sight. The houses all were covered in blood and broken up. Cars were broken up, some having the windows smashed out, others missing miscellaneous parts like doors, hood, tires.

The scenery around me, it hurt me deeply, my heart felt crushed. In the distance, I could see a single figure walking toward me. I started moving toward it, wondering if it was a friend, or an enemy. As the person got closer, I could see the face, at first glance, I would have thought it to be Joe. But upon further inspection, I realized it was Leon. He had no weapons drawn, so I didn't pull mine either.

We were within speaking distance, each of us stopped. "What do you want Leon? Why are you trying to root yourself in my mind?"

He stood there smiling. "Well, I'm only showing you this little town that I destroyed only hours ago. While you were busy preparing yourself to get into your new base, and fighting Battle Hawk, I was ripping through this place, killing many of the inhabitants and increasing the size of my own army. You're falling far behind Angelo, why not just give up and join me while I'm still being generous?"

"You are heartless you little shit. I'll make sure that I'm the one to cut your heart out and feed it to the wolves before I burn you to ashes. You just wait, wait until I get my hands on you." I could feel my blood bubbling up.

Leon didn't seem to care that I was getting angry. "And just what are you going to do to me? I've proven more than enough that I am stronger than you. Are you really that foolish as to think that you'd even have a chance of stopping me? You can barely handle Mason, how would you be able to hurt me? You're wasting your life if you think that you will be able to stop me. My ambition is the strongest of all."

I was still able to contain myself, and hold back the anger. "You think that your 'ambition' is what makes you strong? It works a bit differently for me, my determination to rid the world of those like you it what will make me able to break. You may have the upper hand for now, but that will change, and I will end situation like the one you have created."

I made a new image that wiped out the ruined world he showed me. The grass was healthy again, the homes and cars were fixed, the blood was removed and everything clean. Children played in their yards and there were families there again. "This is the world I will save from you, this is the way things should be. Now get out of my head Leon, there is no need for you to be here."

I woke back up, noticing it was morning, I jumped out of bed, and left to gather everyone. Once we had everything ready, Kyle and I hopped in my car, and we drove off, heading for our new base, and the salvation of the world. Leon will be destroyed, one way or another.

I had my equipment back, and Battle Hawk was walking with me through Silver HQ. Things seemed pretty calm, that is, until we heard Joe yelling. We took off down the hall and made it around the corner to see something that was a bit surprising. Victor was choking Joe out, not something that I was expecting to see. Hawk and I moved pretty quickly though, I punched the hell out of Victor, forcing him to release Joe, to whom Hawk stepped next to.

Joe took of running toward the holding cells. "What the hell were you doing to Joe?"

Victor was rubbing his face. "Maybe you should follow him and then you'll know why I was holding him back."

Hawk looked confused at his statement. "Holding him back? What do you mean you were holding him back?"

"Let's just go before Joe does something that he may regret." Victor started running down the hall, and we quickly followed. Joe was at a cell, there was someone in it. He was frantically trying to input the code to unlock the door, but his hand kept slipping and hitting the wrong numbers. As we got closer, I could see who was in the cell, it was Mason. "Caught him snooping around the base, so I yanked him up as quickly as I could, and dragged him to this cell."

"I'm sorry that I hit you so hard Victor, I thought you were trying to hurt Joe. But we've got to stop him before Mason gets out." I grabbed Joe's hand before he could finally input the code correctly. I quickly pulled him back away from the computer terminal.

"Let me go, that bastard needs to have his heart and spleen ripped out and fed to him for the shit that he said to me." Joe was fighting to get free, Hawk pulled him from me, and clinched tight around Joe's arms. The bear hug seemed to be doing the job, Joe looked like he would pass out and any moment.

Hawk seemed a bit regretful of the fact that he was squeezing Joe. "I'm sorry kid, but I'd rather keep you alive than have Mason find a way to kill you." Joe's head fell down, and his body went limp. Battle Hawk placed him down sitting against a wall. He turned looking toward Victor. "Explain to me what happened. Why is this jackass back here?"

"If I knew anything, don't you think I would have told you already?" Victor seemed to be getting openly irritated by Hawk. "All I know is that I found him snooping around, I snuck up on him, and brought him here, then I called for security, which still hasn't shown up."

And almost as if on queue to Victor, two guards showed up. "Sorry we're late sir, everyone else was out watching the fight, we've been patrolling the whole compound."

Hawk seemed like he wanted to bite their heads of, but he kept his cool. "It's...okay, you can't be blame that everyone else was incompetent. Where are they all now?"

The second guard was a little bit bolder in his tone. "They're finally getting back to their posts. We got sent here as soon as we got back to the security center."

"Thank you men, get to your post." I hurried them along before Hawk could lose his patience. "Victor, we need to talk about this. Mason isn't going anywhere for the time being, let's go somewhere else so that he doesn't just wake up in the middle of the conversation and listen in to us. We don't know if he could be possibly transmitting to some outside source." Victor nodded to me, then I yelled up to the security room. "Don't let anyone near his cell and stay away from it yourselves, Mason is crafty. He might trick you into letting him out. No food or drink until we get back."

Hawk picked Joe back up and carried him with us. We sat down to talk.

BG is BACK!!!! Sorry it's taken me so long to get to the fight guys, work has drained a lot of my physical and mental energy. There is a track which I think will fit this battle, I made it, so it's cool.

I left my room after having a brief conversation with Samuel, he'll be getting our people ready during the my battle with Hawk. We still move out early in the morning, and I need this fight to be over asap. Though I doubt Battle Hawk will allow me to end it fast. Then again, it's not like he is intending on losing to me.

The three hours had passed, the arena was assembled, and the only things missing now were myself and Hawk. I ran as fast as I could toward the makeshift battle ground. Bursting through the doors leading outside, I heard the crowd chanting. "Fight! Fight! Fight! Fight! Fight!" Hawk had already been standing there waiting for me in the center. He had a very self assured look on his face. As I crossed the threshold, I placed my sword and guns down.

Hawk waved me over, and I proceeded to the position just five feet away from him. "Well, you actually came, I thought that you might chicken out. Bravo on having the balls to step up to the challenge."

"I don't know what made you think that I would be afraid to face you. Or did you say that to play on my ego and get me to come here?" I felt more ready for this now that I was actually standing in front of him. "You do know that I'm not that simple minded right? I think though that I'm going to enjoy this fight."

Hawk just walked over to me, clinching his fists tight. "Well, no I don't think of you that way. But I have to make sure you can handle it. You're still plenty fresh to this whole situation, don't go thinking too much of yourself, and not enough of your subordinates. You ready?"

I nodded in response, and before I knew it, Hawk's fist was buried right in my gut. My eyes weld up with tears as I stood there hunched over. The crowd gasped at the sudden strike. I too, was fighting for air, as Hawk removed his arm from my stomach and stepped back. "You need to be ready for an possible attack. Next time I'll hit you harder."

Forcing myself back to standing, and heaving from the damage that he already caused me, I started thinking of how to take him down. I doubted that I could take too many hits of that strength and stay awake. Hawk was a lot more powerful than he put on. "You know...people would generally call that...a cheap shot? But it's okay...I'm game for more."

"There are no cheap shots, if you were unguarded and an enemy attacked, you'd most likely end up dead. So get your head out of your ass, and fucking fight." Battle Hawk punched for my head, I instinctively dropped myself back, avoiding my skull being bashed. Hawk was a step ahead of me though, he kicked my knee out from under me, then threw all of his weight behind a punch right into my stomach, slamming my back against the ground. Again, I choking to get oxygen back into my lungs. "Man, I thought this would be harder. Why aren't you fighting me back? You killed Cisco, the man that lead the Black Medallion, and yet, you can't take me on?"

I looked Hawk right in the face. "I never said that I killed Cisco alone, Joe was there with me, if anything, we both killed him together." I flipped myself up and kicked Hawk in the throat with both of my feet. Getting back to stable footing, I decided it best to just attack. But Hawk was already waiting for me to make a move, and he caught my leg when I kicked, then flung me into a wall. I fell down landing flat on my face.

"Well, there's a spark after all. I'm glad to see it, but you have to do way better than that to even stand a chance DeAngelo. You're much like I was as an upstart, and I can pretty much predict everything that you are going to do." He still had that damned grin on his face, it was beginning to irritate me.

"I guess then that I can't be myself when I fight you." I stood back up and sprinted right at Hawk. He grappled me and attempted to perform a belly to belly suplex on me. I grabbed his neck the second that he released me and did a spinning neckbreaker on him, slamming his face right to the ground. While Hawk was still on the ground, I kicked him off of the floor, then kicked him again in the face, just before elbowing him right in his temple.

Battle Hawk staggered back a couple steps, but he was still well aware of our fight. He drove his knee right into my chest as I tried to continue my attack on him. Using his momentum however, I grabbed Hawk's leg and flipped slamming him on his shoulders. We both rolled to our feet staring right at one another. Hawk headbutted me right in the face, the pain in my nose forced me to close my eyes. I soon felt his knuckles right under my chin, making my teeth clang as I was sent into the air to fall on my back.

Hawk jumped and tried to stump down on my head, but I got out of the way quick enough to save myself from any potential brain damage. "Well, this is getting more interesting, let's keep going kid." He rammed his shoulder into me, running toward a wall. I quickly planted my feet and rolled myself back, tossing him into the right into the wall.

I threw myself to my feet then turned and kicked him right in his mid section, cracking the plaster wall that Hawk was still leaned against. I jumped away to save myself from being pulled down, this allowed Battle Hawk the chance to get back to his feet. "Look, we can take all day fighting it out, and bruising each other up. But I want to end this, I'm enjoying it, but there are other, more pressing things to deal with."

"Alright, you want it to be over with, then let's just go for it. I use all of my strength, and you use all of yours. Whoever can move after that, they win." He knew that he was stronger than me, but I really didn't have much else choice.

I backed away, the amount of pain I was about to feel would have been prime reason for me to quit. But I couldn't back away, this was just a challenge, and if I ran from it, how would I be able to lead others. And suddenly, it hit me, that was the point of this little test. "You're not planning on running are you?" Hawk was still taunting me.

"No...I have got too much riding on this, no one will follow a man that is afraid to take a punch." Hawk, came right at me, and I was ready for this, too bad I knew the outcome. I swung with all my might, as did Hawk, the punches connected. I woke up a few minutes later, and Hawk was sitting next to me with a huge bruise on his face. The surrounding crowd had gone.

"You did really good, almost got me there. I know you'll be a great leader, that was really brave to take me on and to know that I was going to win that exchange. If you face everything with that same tenacity, then you'll be able to take care of them. If you would have chickened out at any point, I wouldn't have allowed you to take them with you. Let's get back inside, it's getting cold out."

LOL, looks like Leon has bigger balls than I thought. He just strolls into enemy territory with a posse and beats the hell out of Mason. Damn, that's one tough little bastard. I'm still finishing the thoughts on the Hawk vs. DeAngelo match, but I'm just about done with my ideas. I just wonder, where did Joe end up in all of this? He's not dead, at least we know that much, but where did he end up? Maybe he just fell down, or Leon might have just knocked him away. Either way, my part should be up soon, just got a couple things to do before I write it.

Darkness, an area shrouded in pain and despair. I could hear fighting, and screaming, then there was warmth and light. The feeling of being loved and comforted came to me. I was basking in the light, and it's bright glow. Everything started fading into the brightness.

I woke up, still in the Silver HQ infirmary, I leaned up to see the nurses finished bandaging someone up. Once they stepped away, I could see it was Joe. Kyle came in with both a look of concern, but also of discord. He seemed to apparently be angry at Joe.

"You're awake!" Kyle ran over to me and knelt at the side of my bed. He was overjoyed that I woke up, but still, I could sense his disdain for Joe, the boy whom he told me before that he cared so much about. Joe was his friend, obviously something had happened while I was out.

"Kyle, why are you angry with Joe? What did he do that has you like this toward him?" I couldn't imagine anything that would make him have a bad taste in his mouth about Joe.

Kyle looked discussed. "He told me everything, everything that he said to you. Everything that he did, and everything that the other one knows. He's the reason that you got sick in the first place."

"You don't get it do you? Joe isn't being controlled anymore, he's chosen for himself to do the right thing. And to be honest, I'm probably in here more for what Mason did than Joe, if he hadn't given my body the antidote to that virus, I might have died." Kyle's face became one of guilt. "I understand being angry when he told you, but you can't hold it against him forever. Give the guy a break, his life has been through a lot of changes, most extremely drastic."

Kyle looked held his head down, in a way one does when they feel shamed or defeated. "I didn't think about it that way. I just......I guess hearing him confess everything, I didn't consider that it wasn't easy for him to pull away. Or the fact that he may have actually saved your life. I think I owe him an apology."

I patted him on the shoulder. "Don't take it too hard. Just let him have his time to rest and recover, talk to him when he wakes back up. As for me," I pushed myself up off of the bed, and disconnected the cords and wires keeping track of my vitals. "I've got to get myself together, we need to get to our base asap. I'll give you enough time to reconcile with Joe, I need to talk to Sam and whoever else he's recruited to join us. 'The Hunters' will move out first thing in the morning, we need to start taking care of those vampires out there doing to others what Cisco did to us."

Cynthia came around from the nurses station with a horrified look on her face. She was relieved to see that I'd taken off the wires, and not that I just suddenly expired. "Please don't ever do that again. I swear I thought your just died on me."

"I'm sorry Cyn, I just need to get out of here and take care of some things. And I just couldn't stand those damn plugs being all over me anymore. I don't need to rest anymore, my body has recovered enough for me to be able to fend for myself." I gathered my things and walked out, leaving Kyle behind so he can wait for Joe to awaken. "Sam, I need to meet with you and the others now. We've got to gather our stuff and get going. I don't know if or when I might fall into another coma, so getting 'Hunter' going needs to happen ASAP. We are leaving early tomorrow morning, We have to account for the force that Leon is gathering, as well as whatever militia Mason may put together. I've got an extremely bad feeling right now. Make sure we keep an open line of communication to Silver Medallion as well, I know we'll need it."

I went back to my room possibly for the last time to be greeted by none other than...Battle Hawk. "Well Angelo, I knew you would be coming here soon once I got word that you'd woke up. I never properly thanked you for what you did. If you hadn't read my thoughts and gone after Mason, Jade might have been killed."

"Hawk, you know how to cloud your thoughts from me, it's not like you couldn't have suppressed that if you wanted to. You allowed me to see and hear what Mason said to you. You never wanted to fight me from the get go. And honestly, you could have hit me while I was running away, you fired your shots just a bit off. The very skill you built your career on, and you couldn't hit me at that short a distance?" I felt like I was almost asking him to prove to me that he couldn't hit me.

"You may be right, but I couldn't take too many chances, Mason could easily have bugged the place for all I knew. I had to make it believable, I could have taken the shots in a bit and nicked you if you would have felt better about it. But that's not why I'm here..." Something seemed a bit odd, I was wondering what he was about to say, but i wasn't feeling the need to dig his thoughts. "I want to fight you. It's been a while since I've had a friendly sparring match with anyone, and I feel that maybe, just maybe if we do, I'll be sure that you can take care of things and be a leader to the people who are so willing to follow you."

"So, you're questioning if I have the ability to handle myself? I seem to remember handling a lot of things while we had that great big battle." That felt a bit insulting, but I doubt he actually meant it. "It's okay though, I'll have a fight with you. I'm assuming no weapons of any kind right?"

Hawk chuckled a bit, "Well, unless I was trying to kill you, no, we don't need weapons. Don't think I don't know about your formal martial arts training. But you also let Mason best you before he became part robot."

So he really didn't believe I could do it. "Yeah, I do remember that, and I also remember stopping you and Mason from trying to rip each other apart shortly after that. Having to fling the both or your to opposite sides of the same room. I don't think any moment better showed my leadership skills than that, or the successful recruiting of the Crimson Clan."

"Good, then you'll be there in three hours, get yourself ready, because I'm not going to go easy on you. This will be straight forward hand to hand combat. No special abilities other than what you have physically." He walked passed me with a huge smile on his face, playing a game with me.

Before Hawk could get out the door, I added my last retort. "Don't worry, I don't need them to fight with you Hawk. It would be an insult to my own abilities as well as yours. I can do just fine with the physical, just be ready when I get there."

Getting to the fight that I promised. I'll let other people post before I write it though. I just hope that when Hopeless comes back, he appreciates the battle that I write. I'm going to try to keep it as fair and balanced as I can. I don't want to make a character bias battle, especially when he's taking on projects and can't come for the moment to write.

Wow, good cliffhanger. I'm waiting for the next part. Anyway, time for me to get on with mine.

Name: DeAngelo LocVor
Age: 24
Race: Valorian (Vampiric-Human)
Karma Balance: Neutral
Primary Weapon: Dual specialized Magnums, each holds twelve rounds over the regular six, and are platinum plated
Secondary Weapon: Sword (sheath on back over right shoulder)

Well, my head was spinning, Joe just revealed to me so many things. This Leon character was trying to control him, to force him to betray everyone's trust. Leon was the force driving Joe to kill and destroy so much. He also tore through the base of the man that was giving Mason orders, the orders that killed the one girl that Joe truly loved. So Mason was now free to make his own choices again, hopefully they wouldn't lead us to being against each other again.

I'm glad that my base is finished, and now I can start recruiting people, I thought of offering Joe the chance to come with me, but I'm not quite sure if he'll want to. Kyle will most likely be up and ready to go when I get back, along with the others that are joining my cause. Our biggest threat now is Leon and his "persuasive" tactics. If he gains a large enough following, then things will be hell. He's already got a huge lead on me, and I have to close that gap. Even fighting him, he may have been toying around, but he showed me, I'm still not ready to face him. As it stands right now, if I fought him full on, I'd die.

Silver HQ came into view, Joe had turned the wheel over to me to rest. I'm pretty sure that Kyle picked up on my thought waves by now, he probably already told Hawk I would be there. He may be waiting for me in the garage. Hopefully this time when he sees me he won't be pulling any weapons. The guard let me in with a big grin. I pulled the car into a space and got out to see Hawk, Jade, and Kyle waiting.

Hawk looked at me, "Looks like letting you leave was the best choice for the situation. If I had followed through with that jackass's demands, I'd be regretting it right now."

"Well Hawk, I'm glad you didn't fight me either, because I couldn't force myself to turn my blade toward you, so I would have died. Good thing Jade was able to get away and I ran into her. Mason no longer has a puppet master, so he probably won't be anymore trouble. I just wish I could have got to the guy who was controlling him, then I could have figured out his moti..." I fell to the floor, and my body got the shakes. I was extremely cold, sweat started pouring out of my body. I didn't understand what was happening. Then I remembered, Mason injected me with that syringe. That virus, but Joe also gave me the antidote.

"DeAngelo!" Kyle ran over to me and kneeled down next to me. "What's wrong? Can you talk?"

I was fighting to get the words out. "Fre...freez...zing. C..ca...can't....mo....moooove!" I everything started fading out. All I could see was pitch black. I woke up in the infirmary, bewildered and worried.

Cynthia walked over to me with an overjoyed expression on her face. "Finally awake I see. Thank goodness."

I felt back to normal, but I couldn't tell if that was a side effect of the chemicals injected into my body, or if I caught some sort of bug. "How long was I out for?"

Cynthia looked like she was contemplating something heavy. "Well......you've been resting for 5 days."

"That long? What was I like when I got here?" Maybe I could learn a few things about my condition. Who knows who else could have happened to me.

"When you got here...you looked dreadful. Your skin was very pale, your body felt like a block of ice, and your breathing was very shallow. Took us several hours to get your vitals back to normal." Cynthia turned and looked out the window that was nearby. "Your heart rate kept jumping up and down, it finally stabilized two days ago. People have been in here to check on you from time to time, especially Kyle. He seems so much like a lost puppy without you around."

"Thanks Cynthia, I think I'm going to rest a little bit longer, I feel back to normal, but I'm still kind of tired. Just let whoever comes in know that I'm okay, and that they can wake me if need be." I felt like a huge lump being in that bed. I was so drained, but was otherwise normal. Thankfully I was in friendly territory. Time to build back my energy.

We have been staring at each other for 10 minutes, neither of us made a move or a sound. I wasn't sure if running head on and trying to strike was the best approach, seeing as Leon could easily have flung me away by now. I couldn't use my telekinesis or telepathy against him. My lesson from fighting Joe before, no projectiles will help me with fighting him, they'll just be sent back at me, and I can't risk having one hit my fatally.

"Angelo, you've been contemplating your move for a long time now. Maybe I should just make mine first to get you going..." Leon jumped right at me, slashing his sword for my head. I deflected him quickly, then retreated to what I felt was a safe distance. Leon just held that evil smile on his face, lifting his blade from the ground. "See, most people would have been dead right there. You're very aware of your surroundings and who you are fighting. I want you to join me, to fight as my Lieutenant. You'd be very well rewarded, and there would be no one that would be capable of stopping us."

I felt my heart rate jump, readying myself to attack him. "Leon, you've been saying the same thing for a while now, you obviously know that I'm not that easy to persuade. Everything you are doing is what I stand against. I'm here to take you down, not to be your fucking friend." I dashed across the floor swiping for his body, but his massive blade blocked my attempt. I rebounded quickly avoiding him plunging his sword through my stomach. I found it strange that Leon wasn't using any of his mental abilities to hinder me any. There was something up with him.

I saw my opportunity to attack him, so I swung my sword with as much strength as I could, and used the sound waves bouncing around us to send a shockwave right at him. It just missed him and he jumped back, but it tore through his sword as well as half of the store. "That is very impressive. You broke my sword, and I sent a good amount of time refining this blade. I guess alchemy can be defeated by the right force."

"A little bit closer and there wouldn't have been anything left of you. I guess it's fortunate for you that I can't do that constantly." I raised my sword and went right after Leon, only to be binded by his telekinesis. His eyes were glowing, a very bright fiery red. I struggled to free myself, but it was a completely vain effort.

Leon slowly pulled my sword from my hand and stood holding it close to my throat. "This sword you have, it's really well made. Your great grandfather was the one who fashioned this blade? Everything on it is perfect, down to the balancing weight of the hilt. And it's quite sharp as well." He turned and sliced the cash register and stand in half. "This blade could probably cut through solid rock. But something is oddly familiar about this sword." He held it up against the broken sword in his other hand. The hilts were nearly the same. "Wow, now I know who made the sword that I was using. Your great grandfather made many blades, but you were carrying his best. I wonder though, no normal man can make a blade this sharp. But then again, why should I worry much about it?"

"Will you just shut the fuck up and get to it already?" I was getting tired of his babbling. This little asshole was spending his time toying around, teasing me. If only I could get free, then I could do something.

Leon seemed to be unphased by me, maybe this is what he wanted all along. "Now now Angelo, I never said I wanted to kill you, I value your abilities and powers too much to just want to kill you. Besides, I think I've already proven that you just aren't strong enough to beat me. Just take a moment to...contemplate what I'm offering to you."

I was getting more frustrated by the moment, listening to him prattle on. "There is nothing to think about. I want nothing to do with what you are proposing. I'd rather die than take innocent lives, and that is how I will always stand."

"Well, then if I can't get you to join me, you have to be killed." Leon lunged at me with a decapitating swing. I closed my eyes to accept death. I opened my eyes again to see Leon with a look of shock on his face as the blade had stopped just before it could touch me. Soon after I was released and fell on my back. Even I was surprised and wondered who could have stopped Leon. Though I felt Joe's presence nearby, I doubt that he was the one who did it, he just wouldn't have been strong enough at the moment.

I rolled up to my feet, looking at my sword, Leon was still holding it, but his position, he seemed, frozen in place. I took the chance to deliver a hard kick to him, making his hand let go, sending him back to aisles of junk, as I caught the handle. I sheathed my sword quickly and took off before Leon would have a chance to recover himself completely.

I unfortunately wouldn't be able to save Joe from him, I just wasn't able to do so at the moment. But something or someone saved me, I know that much, I just don't know how or who. I was sprinting as fast as I could in the direction of Silver HQ, hoping that Jade had made it back, and that Hawk wouldn't be after me.

I was going to write out this great battle scene, but then I thought about it, and DeAngelo shouldn't be able to take Leon on like that, so I changed it. There has to be more character development before he can even try fighting him on an even level. Sorry I didn't give the fight I promised, but I'll make up for it in the very near future. Still gotta deal with the situation of Mason being after Kyle.
