I got rid of aol aprox 1 month ago. When it shows your email, there is also a “bulk” folder that contains (what aol thinks is) spam mail. When I used Italy Yahoo Mail not to long ago, it filed the val email as "bulk". Maybe after users hit the "submit" button in the GG Signup Window, it would say:
“NOTE: Some email services such as AOL and Yahoo Mail file the Newgrounds validation email as ‘bulk’ mail or ‘spam’ mail, if you get an email in your ‘bulk’/‘spam’ from g-bot@newgrounds.com, do not delete it!!! It is needed for your account to be active. Also, some email services don't even serve the email to a ‘bulk’/‘spam’ folder; instead they just delete it. If this happens, go here and enter a hotmail account instead.”
