Why I am writing to my own self is a mere coincidental decision of my mind fighting against me. I feel scared and alone yet still strong after I have been left widowed after my recent husband's death from a brief illness. Left alone with 2 children at the age of 26, I have become battered, yet still strong of a mother caring for 2 children, Jacky and Patsy, in which I have become very fond of as the years grew close and then passed on. The Estate belonging to my husband Daniel Parke Custis went to me in his will. As a widowed mother which I have been endowed with and will for these coming days, I am prepared to face the challenges that I may encounter in my life awaiting me from this present hour.

Gentlemen: By the enclosed Copies of letters to General Sullivan and Messrs. Otis & Andrews, you will be informed of what I have written on the subject of Clothing, in consequence of the letter which you did me the honor to write on the 29th.
The prospect of having the Army amply provided for, by your exertions, affords the highest degree of satisfaction. I am particularly happy to be informed that you have extended your orders for hats and shoes; The Season of the year and the roughness of the roads, should a march eastward become necessary; render the latter an article of immediate and indispensable necessity. I must therefore entreat that every possible step be taken for procuring a large and instantaneous supply from your factories or elsewhere. The present deficiency in this respect I have reason to think, is greatly increased by the bad quality of the imported shoes; at any rate it is such as will prevent the marching of a great many men, and render them miserable in a state of inaction.

Some may think I continued in the struggle of these unhappy days too long, and others that I quieted it too soon-- To the first I reply, that I did not see with their eyes, nor perhaps had so favorable a situation to look from, and that to our common master I am willing to stand or fall. In behalf of the candid among the latter, some of whom I believe serve blindly but honestly--in the bands I have left, I pray God to give them all the lights requisite to their own safety before it is too late; and with respect to that herd of censurers, whose enmity to me originates in their hatred to the principles by which I am now led to devote my life to the re-union of the British empire, as the best and only means to dry up the streams of misery that have deluged this country, they may be assured, that conscious of the rectitude of my intentions; I shall treat their malice and calumnies with contempt and neglect.

Ned, my ambition is prevalent, so that I contemn the grovelling condition of a clerk, or the like, to which my fortune condemns me, and would willingly risk my life, though not my character, to exalt my station.

As I have no desire of quitting the service, I hope the Congress will take no measure that will lay me under the disagreeable necessity of doing it.

I am making a short radio drama about a man and a woman that find love during the cold war early 1960's era. All voice actors auditioning NEED (and I stress this) to speak with radio drama 40's 50's era tone styles.
An example would be fast paced talking and slightly forced, deepened voice for the man and a fast talking girl with similar aspects.
Characters:
-Walter Mitchell (Protagonist)= Deep voice (Doesn't have to be too deep)
-Rebecca Stanton (Woman he falls in love with)
A good example of how I want Rebbecca to sound is here (Since I can't explain it too well with words)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PseixWxCN84 <<<<<<< From 5:20-5:47
And for Walter, I would like it to be like the man in that radio drama ^^^^^^^^^^ 5:48-6:04
Lines: Walter Mitchell- Walter Mitchell- August 7th, 1961.................. Today started off a bit stranger than usual. I woke up at quarter till 7 am yet and I usually wake up at 7 am precisely. I proceeded as usual though, I walked down the stars, took my clothes off, and got into the shower.
Rebecca Stanton- I don't dance actually. I've come here every Tuesday ever since my husband left for the war. This was the last place we were at before he left.
Send auditions to my email at "worldanimated@yahoo.com" if you are interested

I spent some time making it yet from the majority ofn the reviews, most people hate it. The rating dropped to a 2.53 by the time it left the judgement portal and so I'm just wondering what makes the video so crappy from an audience's perspective?
Here is the video: > > > > http://www.newgrounds.com/portal/view/612441
I need a voice actor to play the lead in the short film I am creating called "The lonely man in the alleyway" the sequel to "Lonely man on the railroad track" but with a complete set of new characters. This short film should only take around a week to create because I am fairly fast at stop motions. The premise is about a man that lost his job a few days prior to where he is now. He lives alone in an alleyway now, and picking up whatever he can find as a food source. He will be faced with a variety of hardships that test his patience in these living conditions.
In need of 1 female voice actor
Line 1: "Hello John Matthews, this is my formal message to you from your wife. I didn't want you to read this letter until after you left my house because I didn't have the humbleness of telling you in person. (Pause) You're a smelly lightweight of a man and for this reason, I have found someone new. I do hope that you find it in you to love someone else as you did me, and I do hope that whoever you find has the willingness to put up with who you truly are."
Pleasant day to you and I do not love you."
Types of voices I'm looking for: Adult female, sophisticated, narrating type voice. And PLEASE do not sound like you are just reading these lines with no real emotion.
Sound stuckup as well
Send lines to "worldanimated@yahoo.com"
Thanks to all who want to participate! ;D

Okay I guess I suck at animation from the work that I've submitted in through the last few days. I have a lot of creative ideas buzzing through my head but most of my ideas seem to just FAIL when I put them in animation form because a lot of them are slow, make little since to viewers, and they're not tweaked or polished enough. But I spend SOOOOO much time animating but I usually get very little positive results done.
So what are your easy steps to animating animations FAST?
Do you map out a storyboard first? Like do you get out a sketchpad and sketch the ideas first and THEN write out a script?
What are some of your secrets that you can share? ;O
I am making an animated movie but I'm not talented enough to bring my story to life art wise. I have Sinister man part 2 practically made on my computer so all the artist will have to do is copy the scenes but add more detail where is needed and animate the scenes (Such as adding body turns and fluid walk cycles and so on)
Can anyone possibly help me?
and categorize them if you want ;D
Favorite movies: Favorite games:
2001 a space odyssey F.E.A.R
Drive Halo: combat Evolved
Hugo Metroid Prime
Let me in Kane and Lynch: Dead men (I know the gameplay was absolute shit
but to me the storyline was absolutely amazing and had many layers)
City lights (Charlie Chapman)
The Kid (Charlie Chapman)
What are yours
The Artist
Full metal Jacket
Saving Private Ryan
I know this is an extremely stupid question but kind of a noob to flash and I currently have all of my swf files finished and I'm ready to edit all of them and add sound, music, etc.
Now I know how to use average video editing software like sony vegas and windows movie maker but since I can't really export any video files from there into the size needed for newgrounds, I'm in some trouble haha.
How do you edit videos in flash?
At 10 minutes ago, MiloBased wrote: Eh....I don't know much about this software, but what does it save as? Can you not convert it to .swf?
Well I CAN convert it to swf but I never can get the quality GOOD D; and I can't import a preloader in my submissions
Personally I LOVE anime studio and am hating flash so far. Anime studio has an easy to use interface, it's VERY easy to animate in anime studio and flash is just tough all the way around and it's A LOT more of a process to animate something in flash than it is in anime studio. But anime studio is VERY easy to use and if you're an artist, you can come up with SUPERB results like a lot of pro animations in flash. It's just for me, I don't have the time to learn a program like flash because the interface is EXTREMELY difficult and most of the tutorials for the simplest things on flash last like 30 minutes to an hour.
What do you think? Should newgrounds be user friendly to anime studio users as well?
How do you make a flash file UNDER 10 mb yet still keep the high quality and sounds?
< Noob to flash and can't seem to finalize a flash production under 10 mb. How do you guys do it and what do you use to edit?
I'm thinking about preordering it but I don't think I can because my dad is going to be out of town for business trips and I have to go with him and idk which gamestop I will be around >.<. Do you think the game is going to be worth it?
I'm curious about the game, do you guys think it will turn out to be pretty good?
I'm making an animation on Jack the ripper and I need someone who can pull off a GOOD British accent to play Jack. I want your voice to sound adultish and rigid at times. But just send me an audio submission on what you can do and I will see from there :D
Send audio submissions here
Thanks for your support!
I make videos in various different software programs and I was wondering how you make them in High quality and put them on newgrounds. My videos are always low quality because I do not own Adobe Flash but instead I use anime studio for a lot of my animations and I have to post them on youtube, then redownload it from youtube, to make the file size smaller, then convert it to flash and it results in an EXTREMELY low quality video. Any advice? Should I just contact the editor of newgrounds and ask if he'll let me put over 10 mb non flash videos newgrounds? Any Advice? :P Thanks
