So basically you're looking to benefit/profit from the hard work of someone else, while they receive nothing? Yeah right.

I'm an artist and animator available to help if you'd like. I'm experienced in using Adobe Flash, and Photoshop as well as 3D modelling and animation in Maya and Z-Brush. Here is a link to my (outdated) deviantART account. I've vastly improved since uploading these. http://spoonardo.deviantart.com/

I apologize for my absence and lack of communication. Unfortunately, I will not be continuing to work on this project. This is due to both the already discussed lack of help, communication, and needed interest in the project, as well as personal matters that will be preventing me to continue forward with this specific project. Thank you to all those that have submitted content. I hope you all continue to create excellent work like that of which you have shown. Good luck in your future endeavors.

Sadly, I might have to close this thread. It has been over 2 months since I started it. We have yet to fill 1 male voice actor position, and 2 female Voice actor positions. Out of the 35 males that have applied for roles, and were sent scripts, 33 responded with actual auditions. Out of the 18 females that said they would apply, and were sent audition scripts, only 1 responded back with an actual audition (and was amazing). It is because of the lack of female voice actors (or lack commitment their of), this project's future is looking bleak. :(

On a side note, one of the voices on your demoreel, sounds exactly how I imagined Tana Chloe. I would love to hear you audition for both. :)

I appreciate the response.

Sorry, but we are looking for people with experience. Thank you for your interest in our project though. :)

HI there, Doowik. Although we already have our audio team setup and ready, you may submit content to become an animator on the project. Please send a link to a demoreel, or past animations for review. Thank you for your interest, and we hope to hear back from you.

Project Information

Estimated 18 minute episode length (20 minutes with opening and closing theme)

Character descriptions can be found on the first page of the main thread, sketches will only be released to members of the series, once they have officially joined.

Writers, voice acting team, sound team, and production/direction team have joined. (Including myself, who is also animating and doing concept art)

Animation/art style is anime, Steampunk genre.

My partner and I are not willing to change any of the base story, and will be handling all major concepts. We will be allowing people to make suggestions, which we will take into consideration.

Several different story lines happen simultaneously. The focal story is about a young girl named Patches, and her journey of knowledge on the road of science and invention. Secondary stories include - The social and economical reform of 2 previously warring nations, the life of a outcast bounty hunter, and the hijinks of a bandit group and their quest for power and riches. Other story lines, as well as the above, eventually tie into one another.
Hello there it's me again~ To be honest a lot of my 2D work was lost on my other computer, or is on paper, and I do not have a demo reel set up at the moment. But! I have animated a short simple take shot earlier this week to show you my understanding of animation. If you prefer to see more from me I am continuing work on some other animations that demonstrate my skill, but at the moment this is all I have. I will PM you the link to it. Let me know!

Hey there. Looking at your take, you seem to have a grasp of the basic principles of animation. My only concern is your ability to animate in Adobe. I prefer to not use a character rig system. I like to do the majority of my animating frame by frame, accompanied by preset graphics and movie clips. I supplied a background image, as well as a character design, and scene information, would you be willing to do a quick animation? (colored) Say 7-10 secs? Polished of course.

Can't help but notice not many animators have volunteered so far, I am new here (used to be here all the time back in the day) but made an account after viewing the community threads etc. I can animate both 2d or 3d if you're needing help in that department, but I'm not too sure, from the looks of it you're still dealing with audio and concept. I would love to help though if you're willing to have me. If you are, there are just a few details I need to know about:

>How long is this going to be exactly?
>What are the characters, and what do they look like?
>You say you're doing all the concept, so can I see that concept?
>What are you making this in?
>Is there a certain speed/quality you prefer this project to go?
>Who all is on board so far?
>What type of animation and art style will it be?
>What's the story? What type of story will it be?
>Are you willing to change anything in story etc?
>Do you still need any help with concepts?

But I guess you can PM, I really have nothing to prove myself with since I've pretty much just joined this site.. But just let me know! I wouldn't say I'm the most skilled, but I definitely can help out, but also I have a job and only around 1-5 hours to help with this a day. Also I've animated in Photoshop (traditionally), Toonboom, and Maya. I can mess around with Flash if that may be, but will need some pointers. I'd prefer to join this project just to improve myself, but also want to have fun with this! I'd say I have the most fun with girl characters, I think that would be the most enjoyable for me. Let me know the gameplan!

Story board pages should have current scene number on page header, each storyboard frame should be numbered, and each frame should have the following -

Comments including - Estimated frame time length, time code (00:00:00), any actions or movements (with direction) being preformed should be described, type of camera shot and any camera movement (eg. zoom in or out, truck in or out, pan left or right), line of vision for every character in frame (should also be drawn in frame), screen direction, dialogue, music, and sound effects being played, and any additional special effects (eg. lighting change such as a flickering candle)

Frames size should be able to accommodate any necessary detail in scene. Black and white drawing will suffice, but colour descriptions may be added if desired.

Hey everyone. I apologize for the lack of communication and not sending scripts out as promised. I was in the hospital with a medical issue the last few weeks. I arrived back a few days ago and have been trying to get things back in order. I still plan on going through with the project. I will begin updating things as they progress, and am able to dedicate the right amount of time for this. Sorry again for the delay.
Well being hospitalized seems like a rather reasonable excuse. What happened?

I'm Type 1 Diabetic. I had caught a pretty nasty cold. When someone with Type 1 diabetes is sick, they have to watch their blood glucose levels quite a bit. If they get too high, you develop something called Keytones. Keytones are quite toxic to the body. If they stay in your system long enough, your body goes into a state known as Ketoacidosis. When this happens, your body starts rapidly burning all its fat, and turns it acidic. You become extremely dehydrated and start throwing up. This happens almost every 5-10 seconds, uncontrollably. You throw up stomach acid which burns your esophageal track. This happened to me and I needed to be hospitalized. I'm doing much better now though, and have been getting things back in order the last few days.

UPDATE!

Here is the Opening Theme for the series. Thank you to our sound designer Twone, for composing it. We are still discussing any changes to be made, and the possibility of vocals, but we are very happy with what we have.

Scripts should be sent within the next few days. This would have been done sooner, but my partner and I, both had to take some time away this weekend for Thanksgiving.

I can't wait to start reviewing recordings. :D
