True. If it wasn't for Slipknot, I most likelly wouldn't know that much bands as I do now. I would have also not went to a few festivals, because of Slipknot their appearance, and would have missed out on alot of bands.
Fact is, alot of metalheads went through a nu-metal fase, listening to bands as Slipknot, korn, ...
And it is also most likelly a fact that quite alot of them have also givin up those same nu-metal bands just to fit in the stereotypical group of metalheads.
(btw): Has anyone ever heard of Bleeding Through, It Dies Today, or Caliban? I highly recommend checking them out.
I know Caliban and Bleeding Through... Dislike Caliban, and like some songs of Bleeding Through. Though also dislike some of their songs. Not really my thing, I guess.
While on subject of recommendations, some random bands I listen to alot latelly: Die apokalyptischen Reiter, Hypocrisy, Bathory, Korpiklaani, Trollfest, Impaled Nazarene and Unleashed

No, as far I know, Scarlett and Corey Taylor did not break up, neither did the band. And definitelly not because of the reason you mentioned.
The bands is just having a break from this, for all members to have some individual time, or on side projects. There will be another cd. Most likelly end 2007 though.
