Actually, ideally communism is a global system. In isolated scenarios there is always a threat of the capitalist nations refusing trade. Just look at how America dealt with the USSR, and the way that we set up trade embargos with Cuba. The idea is to create a true global community.
Basically Christianity was a cult. It just happened to be very successful. The only thing that separates a religion from a cult is how many followers it has.

No problamo. All you have to do is open it using Internet Explorer.
Well, at least I said my peace. You may not mind the idea but others are heavily against it. As Benjamin Franklin once said "They that can give up essential liberty to obtain a little temporary safety deserve neither liberty nor safety."

BTW, what is everyone's opinion on the OJ verdict?
O. J. Is guilty. The court verdict? They did not say he is innocent, they simply said that they did not have 100 % of the evidence needed for the penalty that was sought. Not only that but in the civil trial he was found responsible for the deaths and therefor made to pay. It’s not a race thing with me........ I also think that the other actor dick head that is on trial for shooting his wife in the parking lot of that restaurant while he was “getting his gun” is guilty too.
Personally racism sickens me because it is the product of a class system. It is a tool for making the lower classes recognizing their minor differences rather than noticing that they have the same plights, getting together, and taking on the ruling class,
Oh, and I failed to mention, religion is still allowed in Communism in a freedom of speech and though sort of way. I mean, ideally in an actual workers state you won’t be jailed because you choose to believe in a god. The idea is to remove organized religion from public life and move spirituality to where it belongs, within the persons personal life. This way no one can manipulate a mass of people by the whims of what they say “God” wants them to do. “God” wants you to give money to the church, “God” wants you to kill those who don’t believe in him, “God” tells you not to question those in power. That is not what religion should be for, it should be something that helps those who need it through difficult times in their lives. Not a mind control device.

This is correct, the USSR lasted an amazingly long time considering that the country was not fully industrialized, and that America did everything in it’s power to shut them down including but not limited to trade embargos and huge propaganda campaigns. It was like trying to build a house while the guy across the street keeps trying to burn it down. By the way, if communism had no chance of succeeding, how come America spent millions and still continues to spend money to propagandize and fight this “flawed” system? If it will never work then all they have to do is wait till the governments of such countries collapse. The only real mistake made in Russia was the placement of a government system that was not purely communist in nature. It soon went from communism to Stalinism, thus creating a deformed workers state.
The funny thing is that the USSR still enjoyed prosperity while the depression brought most countries to their knees.
I still say that it is an invasion of privacy. I know that you say all the information will only be accessible by court order but someone has to file and organize all that shit. I use to work in a criminal court building as a file clerk and I couldn’t help but read some of the wrap sheets as I was filing and xeroxing the bench warrants. Also, what is to stop someone from hacking a database and steeling you personal information? No security system is infallible. Imagine if a private investigator with loose morals and the proper connection is hired by you wife of employer. This ID system would allow them to access a certain night in the sleazy 8 motel or it may show that you were moonlighting on your job. A whole new black market for personal information would putt everyones personal life down to the smallest thing even if it is completely legal up to the scrutiny of anyone willing to pay.
This is the sort of thing that books like 1984 and all other books and films depicting dystopias are meant to warn us about.
Oh wait, I almost forgot this little jewel. Not only can’t I get a medical professional to help me kill myself, but legally I can’t do it to myself either. In fact if a cop has you in a stand off where you have a gun to your head or are going to jump off a building or something, it is their duty to take you down one way or another before you can do it. More often than not this includes a fatal gunshot wound delivered by the officer in order to prevent a suicide. If you are anything like me this is the part where you go “whaaaaaa?” *head scratch*
Yah, I think that as long as a person can be declared mentally competent then there is no reason that they should not be able to choose when they die. I mean what the shit? If I’m in horrible pain and even if I recover I will only be partially functional I don’t need someone deciding my fait for me simply because we have a different belief system. You don’t believe in it? Fine, you suffer. Just let me do my thing, ok? I also think that the medical community is in on making this a difficult issue. Think about it, if more people were able to choose euthanasia imagine all the long term drawn out treatment business that they might miss out on.
Drimarki, well if I decide that it falls within 2 to 4 realm I don’t vote but I will leave a review (in the hopes that he will improve it. Second ly I made that point already If it has form yet is point less then the form will have to be damn good to get a five. Likewise, if lacks form yet has a really good point or plot or whatever, I will vote well unless the animation (or form is too horrible to ignore). I know it may not be the best system, but with the vote power I have at the moment it seems like the optimal one for me right now.
You know you can Download it on KaZaA. It has all three girls.
Hey now, hold on there phantom. That last part was just my opinion. But you got to admit that people who are jerks just for the sake of being jerks can be just as annoying as someone who has no idea what is going on.
I think whitedragon has a point. Bush is playing the harmless simpleton so he can push his agendas under the public radar. I would even go as far to say that dead or not bush is going to try to use the “hunt for osama” and “war on terror” to secure another term.
I chose my aura when I got to level 5. I wanted to wait so I didn’t sell myself as something I might not be. I think the day I chose my aura I made that first step out of the noob pit. (At least I hope so) Basically I will only vote a 0 or a 5. I see all others as a waist of a vote, I almost feel like I’m not committing to what I thought of the piece. I will vote well only if it can either make me laugh (I don’t do that easily), is really well animated, or makes me immediately want to see it again. I will blam if there is form but no substance (good animation/ no point) and vica versa. I have a problem with unfinished work, misnamed or oversold pieces, or attacks on other artists unless it is really well done. I only leave a positive review if I was really impressed or the person has potential (even if he has potential but the work is sub-par it is still a 0 simply to help clear it off the portal). At this point I have been involved in the termination of 431 an protected only 111. I think dark just makes sense.

I think a noob is anyone who seems like they have not taken the time to learn more about NG, its history, clans, inside jokes etc. I also think that a person that acts like a total dick all the time, makes an ass of himself and generally makes the overall climate of the community uncomfortable or hostile may also be classified as a noob. By the way, not to be mean or anything but asking what makes you a noob also seems a bit noobish.

I know you have heard this before but here goes. True communism has never been implemented. Communism must first develop in a fully industrialized nation (it never has), the “bolshevik”, of a party for the majority must as apposed to “menshevik” or party of the minority (minority meaning the few and wealthy), and finally it must become a global system so trade is kept balanced (unlike the trade embargos that America used on the U.S.S.R). Industrialization is important because never has a revolution occurred in a country that had the means to be fully self sufficient until all the world followed suit and trust me there are political organizations just waiting for that hat to drop. We now however have the means to produce the means of production. Such as automation of factories. You see, by the laws of supply and demand one must sell a thing for what it cost to make it if one wants to be competitive. The only varying factor is labor and how much a person is payed for it. Labor produces worth. If no labor went into an object then it has no value. Hence no need for money and no limmit on production.

Man is socialized into the political climate since government is not a naturally existing state in nature. Need proof? Well if it was mans nature to enslave others then there would never have been a monarchy, If it was in our nature to exist in a monarchy then capitalism would have never came to be. Communist is the political scientific progression of mankind. Furthermore, if greed was in our nature then the first fledgling societies of people would not have made it past the initial communal state that existed before agriculture and inevitably a slave state were developed.
Oh yah, I’ve seen these fucking things. They’re good for a laugh until you realize that these people are serious...........then it’s good for an even bigger laugh. The idea that you can convert through a comic strip makes me want to smack these presumptuous shits. But I must admit that I didn’t need this to turn me away from Christianity, the religion itself did that for me......as with all religions......... And let me guess, these money grubbing Christ whore are selling these things to people to hand out for free. Give me a fucking break!

Ok then. I guess all those groups can continue reenforcing stereotypes about their own groups. Just seems pointless to me. By the way, I’m part Italian, and if Dean Martin himself called me a diego I’d stab him in the face with a soldering iron.
At 1/23/03 09:18 PM, bigwheelie wrote: That is so sick. What is the world coming to when men and men can marry or the other way around. It was not meant to be. So my answer is NO!!!
It’s funny that humans are the only creature that thinks this way. You know, homosexuality and bisexuality is part of almost every other society of mammals on earth and these animals are not shunned from the group by others of the same species. Apparently it is a natural phenomenon that occurs for one reason or another and is no different than skin color or blond hair. And yes I think it is genetic but not hereditary seeing as how no homosexual person I have ever known would have chosen that lifestyle knowing the ridicule they would face. That and the fact that all of them were ( obviously ) born to people who had heterosexual sex. Gays are not a defect since they can be as healthy as you or I. And it sickens me that people don’t think that these peoples emotions and capacity for love are as valid as yours or mine. So what I want to know is who decides what is natural? You? I hardly think you or anyone for that matter is qualified.
I think that gays should be allowed to marry. I mean why shouldn’t they have the same opportunity to suffer like everyone else. Actually I think that heterosexual marriages should be illegal. That way I wouldn’t have to put up with the whole commitment talk “ Of corse I love you baby, ah.....if only we could get married........” *sucker*
On a serious note, who would it hurt? I think that the whole stereotype of gays being promiscuous would be out the window if they were allowed to seal the relationship. Look at the average straight persons dating history. All those wild stories about the single years that almost every married person has. You see, even heteros need the symbolic commitment there to keep our desirers at bay. In fact, in todays society, that is the basis of marriage.
Uh..... I just realized that fattony945 basically said what I said before I said it.......... sorry........ You go fattony!............ >.< D’oh!....... Sorry for the redundancy everyone.
Actualy, Ted_Easton, your tag line quote (though humourous) is indicative of how the government is dealing with the drug problem.
At 1/23/03 07:40 AM, Ted_Easton wrote: If you say crime would go down because there would be a lot less drug related arrests, then by that logic, let's throw all our laws out the window, and we'd eliminate crime
Obviously the same solution can’t work for every problem. That is true for everything. I just think that everything deserves a shot. As you can see, making drugs illegal is simply not working. The fact is there was less drug abuse in this country when marijuana, cocain, and opium were legal and during prohibition there was a spike in alcohol usage even though it was illegal. What does this logic tell us? Do the reading I suggested then see what you think is all I’m saying.
At 1/23/03 01:10 AM, Jazz_Mazter wrote: The idea is to clean up American urban areas... legalizing drugs certainly isn't going to do that. And by the way, when you say crimes people commit while on drugs should warrant massive penalties, well you DO realize there will be A LOT of those. That means more people in jail/candidates for lethal injections.
Well actually legalizing some drugs may not be a bad idea. Amsterdam is painted as a crime nest yet the major crime problem in 2000 and 2001 was bicycle theft. Furthermore an article by the name “Drugs” written by Gore Vidal (relation to Senator T. P. Gore and Al Gore) published in 1970 by the New York Times emplanes why he believes that legalizing drugs may stop drug use. I will share a few short passages here.
“It is possible to stop most drug addiction in the United States within a very short time. Simply make all drugs available and sell them at cost. Label each drug with a precise description of what effect – good and bad – the drugs will have on the taker. This will require heroic honesty.”
“. . .it seems most unlikely that any reasonably sane person will become a drug addict if he knows in advance what addiction is going to be like.”
“Will anything be done? Of course not. The American people are as devoted to the idea of sin and punishment as they are to making money – and fighting drugs is nearly as big a business as pushing them.”
If you want to read more I’m sure you can find the article on the web.
At 1/22/03 07:34 AM, Ted_Easton wrote: I'm supporting this ID card idea of mine more and more. Why would you care if the government knew where you were? Unless it all of the sudden shows "Bin Ladin's Secret Hideout" on your activities, no one is going to care. And all of this is confidential information, and can only be accessed with a court order. No different than your phone conversations.
What does everyone think of my ID card idea?
I hope that you are not trying to take credit for this idea... It has been proposed a few times by the US government. That said I personally like a little anonymity every now and then. The problem is that the national ID simply reveals too much information seeing as how it is meant to be a comprehensive record of all your activities weaving itself into every aspect of your life from your travel habits to your shopping history. I mean, I don’t have anything to hide from the law or anything, but come on. Every one has things that would embarrass them that they should have the right to keep personal. Lets say someone needed ass medication for hemorrhoids, treatment for an STD, an abortion, porn, large amounts of alcohol, or any one of a million things. I don’t think that this kind of information should be shared with or analyzed by anyone without the express written permission of every single person affected by the system.....that means everyone. Privacy is one of the few privileges that this country is having a hard time stripping away from us. Please don’t help them.
