Speaking of posting too much I will celebrate my 800th post by refreshing this topic to the top of the list.
Hey it’s better than going into the general forum and starting a whole new topis for it don’t you think?
And now that I have some time I can pay more attention to helping the site along. Reaper-n is basically waiting on me to create a look.......... Don’t worry members, I’ll do my best so you won’t have to wait too much longer.
And thanks for your patience Reaper! =)

Time to go off to dream land.

Take care, and remember, we won’t judge you if you kick your brother of the computer every now and then. Or you can just occupy yourself with other things. Go out side or something.

This is a great idea Judge. Personally I need a place to unwind and I’m not always in the mood to tolerate some of the general forum posters. Don’t get me wrong, I like the general forum. It’s just that there tend to be too many spamers and nit-wits looking for people to attack.

Show me some documentation. Unless you are like every other pro-weed idiot who can't ever seem to find anything to back up their "facts"
I advise you learn to analyze what you read. I never said I was pro weed and I said that they were taking factual statistics and misrepresenting them. The other statements I made I acquired through discussions with medical processionals who showed me the medical journals that back up what they told me.
And if you are going to make personal attacks such as calling me an idiot I think you should go back to the general forum. This place is for debate not for your ever so charming ignorance

It's okay to smoke weed, but it's not okay to make dumb topics about it as if the cops are going to read it and shoot congress until they legalize weed.
It is illegal for the same reason that alcohol was almost illegal and was for a time. If you look back weed was legal as were most drugs Washington grew weed, and Franklin smoked weed and did a little coke. As this country started to freak out about political issues and its lack of control over the masses they made all the drugs they could illegal until we said enough is enough you cant have my bourbon.
I’m also not saying that it should be legal, I would just like to see a better job at eradicating the young about drugs and I don’t think lying is the answer.

I would like to see some proof of this.
Yes it’s unbelievable that this would happen, is it not? The media can’t possibly have interest in skewing or misrepresenting statistics to suit their needs................ If 1 in 3 car accidents involve people with THC in their system that doesn’t give you information like; Were they under the influence or was it just in their system, Were they the one at fault, were they driving or just a passenger who was “involved”, were they even in a car? The phrasing leaves a lot of possibility but in a specific contexts fits their needs.

We've been running a series of anti-tobacco ads about Indiana people who have had family members die. I've actually seen a woman break down and cry because of one of the commercials. Of course it caused her so much stress that she needed to have a cigarette. I respect your opinions very much, Spike, perhaps one of the most on this forum, which is why I try my best to think rationally when presented with a situation like this. I despise drugs, especially cigarettes. If you're going to kill yourself, why pay?
We need an all-inclusive campaign against all forms of drugs. Remember DARE from grade school? Wow, that was fun. I wonder if they still have that.
Yah I think the still do have DARE. That program is cool but the still tend to shy away from discussing hard drugs in depth. I don’t think that they will ever take a truthful approach because they would have to state such facts (and yes they are medically proven) like the fact that alcohol is more dangerous to your health that weed and that acid and shrooms are not very addictive. In fact, a person can do acid every three days for a week and stop without withdrawal. It’s too bad that there are so many pressures and worries it to days society that make people turn to substances as an escape.
And thank you Judge, I appreciate respect and I hold your opinions in high regard as well. Unlike that other dimwit who couldn’t bother himself to read the entire post before replying to it.

They bring home a good point that drives it in to the smaller kids, who don't have the time to analyze like everyone here does. All my little sister knows is that a high kid killed a little boy by smoking and driving. I didn't want to explain it to her. I want her to not be influenced by it. You know? There are some times when the statistics need to be bent to serve the common good.
The bent statistics can also be harmful. Why is it that we see hundreds of anti marijuana ads and nothing talking about drugs infinitely more addictive and dangerous. I knew kids in highschool who drank and did coke but the looked down on pot heads because “it causes lung cancer and it kills brain cells”. The dis information actually convinced them that weed is worse than coke. I’m all for anti drug campaigns but don’t lie to us, do the job and actually attempt to educate us. I admit, the only way I learned the truth about most drugs is by either trying them or or seeing what they did to my friends first hand. I educated myself and I realize that I only want to drink and have a cigaret every now and then. I wouldn’t of had to experiment however if I was not lied to.
I’m getting sick of these anti-marijuana campaigns. Namely the ones that say “Marijuana: Harmless?” and “Marijuana, more dangerous than we thought.”. Both of these ads spread disinformation that is more dangerous than marijuana it’s self. Don’t get me wrong, I don’t smoke nor do I think that marijuana is completely harmless. Every substance, legal or not, is harmful to a degree. I just don’t like the fact that these ads feed on and perpetuate public ignorance.
One example is an ad that shows a man placing flowers at a site where his baby-brother died in a car accident. Shortly you find out that he was driving and the police found trace amounts of THC in his system. They then tell you a statistic claiming that 1 of every 3 car accidents involve a person who had this substance in their blood.
On the surface it seems to make a good point. Unless you know something about marijuana. First of all, THC stays in your system for about a month. So if someone smokes a bowl and gets in an accident a week and a half later a blood test would come back positive for THC and one more number gets added to the statistics. This feeds into my second point, there is no way that one in every three accidents in America is caused because someone was stoned. That would mean the an incredible amount of people were running around in their daily routine high.
It’s always good to have another person to talk to.
Im in the second category. I suspect however that many are in the first.
