Silver the Hedgehog would have to be near the top of my list. There were already too many hedgehogs in the series at the time of his conception. Not to mention how lazy his name is.

I haven't played in a while, but I remember there was a good year and a half in which I was obsessed with the game. If nothing else, this thread made me nostalgia.
