Just released my first game Posted March 7th, 2014 in Mobile

It's called FlatRun.

It's a simple little game, only one mechanic. Swipe to keep a little running dude on a path. Not groundbreaking by any means, but quick and fun (if i do say so myself). I've got updates coming to it soon, for tap/swipe control switching, game center, and various other little tweaks.

Hope you guys like it.

Looking for animate for shmup Posted April 26th, 2013 in Animation

Seeking an animator that can do very clean graphics, pixel art (16 bit, not 8) preferred, for a shmup i've been developing. Will need background art, menus, characters, everything. Looking to make this project into a full, 5 level game. I am graduating from college and beginning a full time job very soon and have no projection for a release schedule for this, however, I do work on this almost every day as of now, tweaking things and trying to get this game as close to ideal (to me) as i can.

If you would like to be a part of this please contact me.

Thanks.

I'd like to see some examples of your work before I ask for your time.

I probably should've said that in the first post.

That's a screenshot of gameplay as it stands right now by the way.

Shmup seeking art/sound, lots. Posted April 22nd, 2013 in Collaboration

I've been working on a shmup/bullet hell engine for a while now. I've been doing the art myself, and have had help from a friend, but an animator I am not. I'll cut to the chase:

1. It's based on mythology about birds & flying things, main character is an owl.
2. It's horizontally scrolling, not vertical
3. I've created a backstory to help drive the game, I would like the game to be about 5 levels long (A big project)

I need a lot of art: backgrounds, enemies, character(s), title screens, extra assets
and sound for everything: shooting, menu interactions, enemies, background music, etc.

I would really like to try and make this a really polished game, push it for sale possibly (something like a binding of isaac story). I'm still in school right now and have a job lined up for graduation, so I won't be able to work full time on this game, and i have no set schedule for this, chances are release would be far off, but if anyone is interested, contact me.

Shmup seeking art/sound, lots.

Help with image transfer Posted March 27th, 2009 in Game Development

I used to use Multimedia Fusion, because the programming is easy as anything and i have no idea how to use HTML, but its graphical capabilities are like 16-bit. I went over to Flash where it's easier to draw but i can't program games on it. Anyway, i wanted to take my images made in Flash and transfer them over to MMF, but when i do, there is a fade around the outline of the pictures meaning that in dark environments the character looks like he is outlined in white. Is there any way short of going around the outline and redrawing the borders or is there an easier way to get rid of this? (think MS paint, its basically the same drawing style.)

Thanks

PS - i attached pictures to show what im talking about...

Sprockets of Hostilities Posted January 28th, 2008 in Game Development

Yeah, hi... I'm makin a flash parody of a game I'm sure everyone has heard of, Gears of War. It's going to be a 5-part series (1 part for each act of the game). I am drawing the weapons exactly as they appear in the game (the color might be a little different, but im using the eyedropper to get the color as close as possible). Im looking for pictures of the boomshot and the torque bow, which i can't seem to find. So if anyone can find me a picture of JUST the side view or if necessary, slightly angled, of those two weapons it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

A large picture would be most useful... please nothing under 100 X 100.
To show the detail in which i am creating the weapons i attached a picture. I am drawing all moving parts of the weapons (as shown in the pistol), including the chainsaw, clips, scope covers, etc.

If you find anything, either PM me here, or send the picture to my email, here.

Soundtrack Heroes, Unite! Posted September 9th, 2007 in Audio

There's a game, and it needs a soundtrack...
A game is being produced and it is in need of one skull-pounding soundtrack. It is not a flash game however, it is being produced with MMF.

SONG REQUIREMENTS
1. Has to be heavy, real heavy.
3. No longer than 10 minutes. (if it loops, no longer than 3)
4. NO VOCALS - why? look at Dragon Force, great guitar... vocals, not so much.
5. Please don't give it a dumbass name.
Solos will give the song a better chance of being used.

ENTRY INFO
If you want to enter your song, send it to me at:
Spibby@hotmail.com
or try to catch me on AIM: SPBY13 (im usually on around 8-9pm weekdays, 12-3pm weekends)

The game will most likely not be commercial, as it is 16-bit. If it ever goes commercial it would probably only be around $1-$5. If you would like the copy of the game as-is, send me an email, the game is usually updated everyday.
