Response to: How to get Recognition? Meh? Posted February 28th, 2011 in Art

good start.
maybe finish shading.
along the top teeth there's a really dark shadow. i think that's a cast shadow, but some of the other shadows should be just as dark.

Response to: Anthro Crit? Posted February 28th, 2011 in Art

the coloring looks really good.

but the crotch are has a HUGE bulge.
Im not sure if this is intentional but she looks male from the waste down.
ALSO the legs are really animal like. and i know furry is about hybrids, but i dont think she would be able to stand upright if her legs were completely animal.

Response to: *Rookie* Skull Progression Thread Posted February 28th, 2011 in Art

def try references.
start with the basic shape of the skull (circle) then blocking it out to make a cube of sorts.

Response to: My drawings :D Posted February 28th, 2011 in Art

good animation practice dude!
full rotations are really difficult but these look good.

Response to: Colours. Posted February 28th, 2011 in Art

for 13 this is exceptional.
im also really impressed that your using other colors to add light. i.e. instead of just adding white to the red your adding blue, or orange. that coloring technique is really hard but ends up looking the best.

i enjoy your traditional art much more than your digital.
you add more shading and depth in your traditional, i think that's why

I DO!!!!!!!

p.s. this is a great piece.
i think minamilst comic pieces would be really cool to see. To show the viewer what makes a superhero memorable.

Response to: i was bored so i made an art thread Posted February 12th, 2011 in Art

these are all great!!
I got some lulz out of the "cool guy with boner" piece.

I enjoy the watercolor looking monsters especially.

I complete background and an awesome pose for the alien.
I also really enjoy the detail in the picture i.e. the guys head.

Response to: Ties' Art Thread Posted February 12th, 2011 in Art

the faces look good and are great practice.

The proportions seem good. YOu are right about the profile looking strange. I think it looks weird because it's a little too flat.

Response to: What would be considered a sketch? Posted February 12th, 2011 in Art

wow!!
HUGE step forward from sketch to the digital.
Nice coloring!

i dig the line weight of each piece.

Also the subject matter seems really appropriate for the style, kinda silly.

i like the street art style of the piece with the spray can.

boring to look at.
interesting dialogue.

I feel that this piece has a lot of inside jokes...so Im probably missing alot of the good stuff.

Response to: Mr Angels art thread Posted February 9th, 2011 in Art

youhsould post the actual picture in the forum so we dont have to load a whole other page.

as far as the background goes it's good.
the contrast really makes the name pop.

...

but it was not worth loading a whole other page...especialy DA
DA takes forever
