Response to: The 72-hour Spyro Marathon (Live) Posted July 14th, 2010 in Video Games

They finished the marathon on sunday, they raised $1382 (USD)

Also, the guy above, They picked spyro because
1.) It's a kids game and they are raising money for KIDS, GTA would not work out.
2.) Who wants to see someone play COD or GTA for hours and hours watching them steal cars and get headshots
3.) The did crash bandicoot last year and spyro is related to crash.

heaps of reasons they chose spyro

Response to: Fanboys Posted July 14th, 2010 in Video Games

I still play Halo 1 and 2, and sometimes call of duty 4 but MW2 and Halo 3 I feel weird and awkward playing knowing that it's infested with fanboys.

Either way I never enjoyed multiplayer on those games anyway

Also, I may of miswrote the "I only play 360 fro entertainment bit" I meant I don't love the 360's image as much as I used to but only continue to play it for it's fun games.

Fanboys Posted July 14th, 2010 in Video Games

Can't they shut up for once, they are half the reason i'm put off from gaming...
I used to love Xbox and games like Halo and Call Of Duty until rowdy fanboys ruined the image of them by bashing other games and consoles...

Now I use my 360 just for entertainment, Call of duty and halo on the other hand I never play anymore.

I have never seen many PS3 fanboys before, although I see alot of them bashing kinect and the cost of live, Lets hope I don't run into any...

But can't fanboys just SHUT UP, your not helping with anything...

Korea and Russia as well.

Don't forget Australia

Star Wars Bounty Hunter, I have played through that game 12 times!

Response to: Game-breaking Enemies In Videogames Posted July 14th, 2010 in Video Games

I'm surprised no one has said this...
The Aliens in Crysis...

Those things have heaps of armor or something, Although you get a strong weapon to kill them through the rest of the game until the final level

Crysis Warhead on the other hand, the aliens come in less then half way through and you don't have a strong weapon to kill them... I had to switch to strength and punch them to death to finish some off...

Why do YOU use adblock? Posted July 10th, 2010 in General

All those who use adblock can you tell me why you use adblock? I'm just curious, I use to use adblock but I stopped because in my opinion it's disrespectful to the site Admins (Tom, Rob etc.) the advertisements aren't even that annoying.

I actually take delight in clicking the advertisements and staying on the page for a few seconds knowing that the people who make this site are getting bling.
Plus some of the ads are pretty good, Battlefield Heroes is actually a very fun Rpg-Fps game.

Mirrors Edge Lag Problem Posted July 10th, 2010 in Video Games

I posted this last week, although I couldn't find the topic (I searched Author and Thread)

anyway, someone said to try turning V-Sync on, it helped make the level not be laggy but I got up to a part where the cops started chasing me, as soon as that started it lagged.

So I have discovered what's causing it, something to do with the AI (I Knew it was the AI anyway)
So how do I fix the lag, why s it lagging when the AI come?

Btw, My computer is a good computer, I can play heaps of games just fine without lag, even games with heavy AI activity...

Response to: TF2: Engineer Update discussion. Posted July 9th, 2010 in Video Games

My opinionzzzz

Frontier Justice - Useful in some situations. I tend to reload lots and use my shotgun well so the less clips isn't a problem, and the crits are very helpful, combine it with the gunslinger in arena and ambush one enemy, destroy sentry then use the two crits to kill the rest of the enemies, it's awesome. And the weapon is also pretty good.

Wrangler - Really good at stopping ubers, targetting specific enemies and stopping demoman from raping your shit. But it also leaves you very vulnerable to spies backstabbing you then sapping it (it has a 3 second change back to the normal sentry, they can pretty much run away or disguise themselves during that time) and it also leaves you vulnerable to being attacked from behind. While people think it's overpowered it's still possible to stop. A soldier rocket jumped onto the 2fort Battlements then blew me up from behind today when I was using it.

Gunslinger - Like I said with the FJ, it's good at ambushing enemies, builds quickly, and gives you a health buff.

Southern Hospitality - Rarely see people use this weapon, from what I've heard it gives you less fire resistance and a bleed effect with your wrench, that sounds fair, but the wrench already critical hits MOST enemies and kills 60% of spies in one hit so I can't see it's usefulness. Do I have the stats wrong?

Also I was hoping for a dispenser or teleporter item or something (even if they had to make another item slot for it...) but I actually can't think of anything that wouldn't break gameplay balance.

You seem really OCD about this.
Oh snap, bet you didn't see that coming

If you donate at least $5 and you can enter a raffel for the current game they are playing.
They prizes are mainly T-shirts and game guide.

If you donate $20, you can force anyone commentating to sing

If you donate the most money, you will get a grand prize which is a copy of Japanese spyro.

Also if they get over $300 by the end of spyro 3, one of them will drink hot sauce.

The marathon is going on right now currently at Spyro 2 Ripto's rage/Gateway to glimmer

Response to: The 72-hour Spyro Marathon (Live) Posted July 8th, 2010 in Video Games

It should start in an hour.

They dislike the new spyros as well, the only extra the will enjoy will probably be Hero's tail.
They said that Enter the dragon fly will be nothing but rants and rage.

Either way, they will post a video before they start so notify us that it has started.
They will also give it 15-30 minute wait so people can start joining.

They will have some guest narrators as well when they need a break from answering peopls questions (They read while playing)

Halo's announcer was cool at first but now he drives me crazy 0_o

After seeing some gameplay from Naughty Bear, I like that announcer "DE-FLUFF-ICATION"

Some guys I know on Youtube are throwing A 72-hour spyro Marathon live starting tomorrow to help raise money for sick children (By Donating)

I would recommend checking it out because they did the same thing last year for Crash Bandicoot and it was really fun, they reply to your questions normally as well.

They will be doing every spyro games from Spyro The Dragon - TLOS Dawn of the dragon (they will also do the gameboy exclusives like season of ice)

It isn't a scam because the donation link donates directally to the Children Miracle Network, the person running is is Crashpro 3 (Search the name on youtube)

So does anyone want to watch it?

Response to: Mirrors Edge Lag Problem (pc) Posted July 7th, 2010 in Video Games

Arguing ain't helping me fix the lag
I love Mirrors Edge but it's hard to get past the level i'm up to with lag.

I could record some gameplay and show you but if I record it will make it even worse :S

Response to: Anyone still use PS2 / X-box? Posted July 7th, 2010 in Video Games

I love to use my Ps2 and Xbox every now and again (I Own a 360 and ps3)

I do get a TINY bit nostalgic while playing games like Jak 1-2 and Worm 4 mayham and especially Ratchet and clank 1 but mainly because I had great experiences playing a few of those games since they were the first games I played on PS2 and Xbox

Although it's not as Nostalgic as my old Ps1 and N64!
