i don't know hw is in other countrys but from where i am to copyright your work don't really cost.
you have to make some paperwork for "Composer's Union" and write the theme with chords... you don't even have to write down all the ochestration or to present a recording ...

so, that is simple.
i have absolutley no ideea why this should cost anyway ...
and despite of personal opinions about someone's music, please people don't be TOTALY off topic

peace

Topic: the sound of silence

Posted: 11/07/07 05:27 PM

Forum: Audio

silence is sometimes needed in music or movies
once i had to make the "ambiance" in a silent scene in a movie (wich had premiere in October 20 in Moscow) and i had a BIG problem ...

problem was like, if i don't put ANY sound that sounds very unnatural, very wrong, so, i had to put a sound sooooo silent, just to had an ambiance there, to bring more "life" to immage)

Topic: Kj Sawka. The Best Drummer. Ever.

Posted: 10/27/07 02:57 PM

Forum: Audio

Kj Sawka is VERY good, is very inovative and piss me off when little people throw mud on BIG ones just to seem like they know what they are talking about ...

At 4/30/07 06:44 PM, HybrisHybrid wrote: Hes fast as fuck but he doesn't do any very complex rhythms. Even as a drummer I'm not impressed.

Well, maby you are not musician enough to understand what is going on there, as a drummer you should be impressed by the way of playng with accents, by the groove he have, by the urge to move on the rhythm that you have while you listen to him ...
If all that you understand from playng drums is just how fast can someone make TRRRRrrrrrrrrrr.... you'r far away from music.

At 4/30/07 07:08 PM, ZENON wrote: Go to www.drummerworld.com and search for Jojo Mayer. He's a live drum n' bass artist. And damned good, at that; very smooth.

well, i like very much Jojo Mayer, i like the way he combined D'n'B with jazz concepts .
still, when you listen a black drummer you can hear the difference...

Makes marching band cool again.

yep... that is good stuff, btw, have you heared of the show "Blast" ?
if you like that kind of stuff, is a must have ...

and again, i find Kj Sawka very inovative and amazingly creative in the way he combine accents and turn up-beat into down-beat ...

HERE's a band from Vilnius, Lithuania
All the guys have russian roots, you can hear that in their music even that is rock

too bad they don't have NG acount

System of a Down would be also a good example of expressing roots in music

not really much of an ideea to steal ...
btw, ever heared "Footprits" by Wayne Shorter ?
the ideea is vey near ... just your's is in 5/4
what you have would do for a bass line... for begining of a bass line
what you need is a solo line, a theme on it and also some chords to go with it ...
