actually it seems you are unable to comprehend arguments. i made that statement about history in general not about the holocaust.

i'm not doubting what happened but i'd just like to make a point about history in general, its innacurate and depend where you hear it from different sides have different retellings so to simply say "read a history book" won't neccessarily give you much; what is told may be a lie.

well i think with the superior man power and supplies the allies already had i'm sure that at some point in time we would've been able to turn back the Germans. as far as what would have happened to Europe, who knows.

the comment on not caring bout places like Africa was just a point i made, i never said the Jews had anything to do with this and you also managed to miss the major point of my argument which was that the Jews now seem to have unfair protection by governments in relation to religious freedom.

you also know that anti-semitism refers to a hate towards semetic people which includes Arabs and other middle-eastern people as well as Jews, so why its used to describe Arabs who hate Jews confounds me
though Tengutrickster may have put it a little harshly i share his point that some Jews continually use this "we're the most tortured people in the world". i have absolutley nothing against Jews or Israel (though i doubt how much good it has done for the Jews) i am extremely annoyed by this continous use of past events by some to justify themselves in arguments. the Holocaust happened, the Jews suffered it was extremely unfortunate but all that has very little relevance anymore. we remember what happened and hope it will never happen again (even though no one seems to care about whats going on in Africa or anywhere other than Europe) but when things like "but our people suffered" is brought up in an argument its simply an appeal to pity and oddly enough it has gotten Jews what seems to be unfair protection as opposed to what other religions are given.

trying to make sure you stay well within legal boundaries eh? well the media tends to use weed as comical because most of the time comical things happen when high (or drunk) and it doesn't affect you like harder drugs do, but this isn't an argument for or against marijuana so i'll stop here (next time remember theres no need to call people who have tryed weed stupid). but media influence is debatable in different situations i.e. the weed on tv vs GTA. i doubt playing such video games has any real affect on you if you are a normal mentally stable person since we are taught that the things that happen in the game are bad and we understand if someone dies they die whereas marijuana is presented in a way where it is entertaining and for the most part we are not told that "weeds gonna kill you, don't do it" we've just been taught drugs are bad but i guess when something shows you the opposite over and over again it "reprograms" you so to speak.

i would like to ask in your opinion what has the zionism movement and creation of Isreal done for Jews. personally i think the zionist movement and foundation of Israel did very little to benefit the Jewish people. i believe all it has managed to do is create more tension and hate towards them mainly from Palestinians and other middle-eastern countries. of course i am not saying that Israel must go, it has been established since 1948 and has the right to exist but since then it has become a major target of hate which spills over onto the Jewish people world-wide because of few.
before Israel was created Jews were allowed to live in Palestine and from what i know there were no clashes as there are now. I am just wondering if it was really worth it to recreate a country that had disapeared over a thousand years ago and make a home for a fraction of the world's Jews? once again i would like to state that i have nothing against Jews and that this is meant to be an intelligent conversation about the topic

true but this isn't really about why the US is still there, its about the reasons to fight an invading force (or whatever you want to call it). personally if Canada were under control of someone like Saddam and the US came in saying they want to "free" us destroying peoples lives more then that guy did i'd fight back.

British Iraqi, possibly fighting there, but the US is also installing a government that would probably be more American influenced and theres the fact that even though they removed Saddam from power they destroyed many peoples livelyhoods and families as well.
