don't you sometimes wish you could scrap everything and start from scratch?

so i'm redesigning a header menu system for a forum I'mw orking on.

I maaaaay be able to figure out the login/logout function well enough to integrate into flash, but is there a way, in flash mx, to pick up on the {PRIVATE_MESSAGE_INFO} command which tells you if you have 1, 2, 3, wahatever private messages waiting for you when you log into the board.

I'm not a programmer, I'm just tryingt o make this design as seamless with the phpbb software as possible- so any and all help will be greatly appreciated.
