Here is another entry of mine for the Cupcake Collab. Oddly enough, I've not been told that I'm doing it wrong. Anyway, better quality image is here.
Now I have to decide on what to make next.... I've decided to turn to an idea generator...
My next picture will be an "erotic enticing compass". That could be fun.

Who carries that kind of cash around with them? You will never sell it with that price.
I'm thinking music that is so upbeat that it's painfully cheesy would fit this collab. Maybe an option to switch between normal music and upbeat music.

But maybe Nae has another, completely different opinion.
I like it after all, it's a funny idea.
Who knew something so simple could be so difficult!?! Anyway, I changed the overall look of the picture to make it look kind of like a sticker which gives it a reason to look slightly edgy. Now I have close to 5 different versions of a cupcake on my computer. I think I'm going to stick with this as my final as long as there isn't an overwhelming flood of hatred towards the changes that I've made.

Just in case you didn't know, I intentionally left the lines looking unfinished. I was even debating coloring outside of the lines a little bit and changing the line style to match the font....

To stay up and do work all night I just tend to put on a little Nit Grit and get into my "do-work trance" and crank shit out. Make sure you have good bass though, or else the songs might not sound as good.
Also, I think that caffeine is a terrible way to stay up for extended periods of time. My reasoning for this is that once the caffeine wears out, you are completely dead. I prefer drinking lots of water and eyedrops to keep my eyes from drying out. The water makes you get up and move around in order to get to the bathroom / get refills.

I'll ask Google first next time.
It's not a problem, I'm used to answering a ton of questions on answers.com and answers.yahoo. Anyway, just post a pic of what you come up with once you finish it.

Yes I do, I've actually used all but a few of those websites for fonts. I love me some fonts. I'll be sure to check out the ones I haven't used before.
Forgot the logo, now I'm finished.
I think I'm done.. hows it look?
Better quality pic.
Here is a piece of mine from the up and coming Cupcake Collab. Tell me what'cha think...
I'll help you out man, just send me a PM with more specific details on what you want (image size, colors, etc) and we can get the ball rolling. I would have probably helped sooner if I had seen this thread earlier because I'm all for helping people who help others.

Now that is what I call a stud-muffin.
I was procrastinating, so this is all I'm willing to do... I can remove the background easily if you don't like it. Can't get much for nothing.

You know it, don't lie to yourself.
There are 10 types of people in this world.
Those who know binary, and those who don't.
I guess you could compare art to a sport. The more you practice, and understand how the fundamentals work, the better you become. Once you learn all of the fundamentals, you continue to practice until your rough pieces of art become less rough and more developed. It's kind of why people compare professional sports athletes to artists when they are one of the best at their sport. People aren't born with the innate ability to pick up a pencil and churn out professional works of art, it comes with lots of practice and dedication.
I hope you don't mind a second picture from me...
This second submission is the end of the world, and not just mankind. I'll let the picture speak for itself. I added a blur to the bottom half of each of the asteroids, tell me if that just makes the picture look worse than if it was all solid. I wanted to give a sense of speed to the family of asteroids. Heres a better quality pic.
I'll make a picture, but I'm not scouted so I can't post it to the portal. Should I PM one of you who is scouted with my picture?
At 2/17/11 09:54 PM, BluGil wrote: The idea looks good but the people look to blobby and amorphous, try to get the basics of anatomy down, just enough to make them look more normal
Yeah I agree with you on the first picture, I was still getting used to my tablet, and drawing again. It's been 5+ years since I've actually drawn a picture, I used to draw a lot in elementary and middle school, but then it died off when I went into high school. Hopefully not all of my artistic talent has starved to death from lack of feeding.
As for the second picture (minibike gang), I was going for an unrealistic look to the people on the bikes. I wanted to exaggerate the fatness of the guy in the back by rounding all of his joints to the point of being unrealistic. I just made the guy in the front for the facial expression (and that sweet hair). Although I wasn't aiming for realism in the biker picture, I do realize that I am terrible with drawing correct anatomy and I need to improve in that area. I'm definitely going to work on my anatomy skills soon.
Other than the lack of anatomy in my two pictures, did you find the coloring and the lines satisfactory? I'm not too good at drawing perfectly smooth lines, but I do kind of like the look of the slightly wavy lines in the biker picture...
Before I go into any detail about my next picture, I want to apologize for anyone who looked at the .gif and suffered a seizure, or became mesmerized by the lines. It may be a little too distracting... it looked better in Photoshop.
This was an entry for the Artpocalypse Now: Art Collab. In this picture, I depicted my idea for an apocalyptic world in the not too distant future. In this hellhole of a future, the few remaining survivors form gangs. Unfortunately for these gangs, the price of a real motorcycle is just out of reach. This catastrophe disbands many gangs, but the few gangs that are intelligent enough to... downsize... remain intact and mobile enough to reign over this desolate landscape they once called home.

I LIED, now I think I'm finished. Needed to get that horror look...
Here is the better quality picture. If you think it looks worse than my previous version, just tell me and I'll revert it. However, I am a whore for textures.
Here is my first real picture picture that I've made with my tablet, I call it "Life Without Music". In case you didn't know, I'm deep like that. Anyway, here is the better quality version.
Hey guys, this will be my own personal art thread. I hope to see improvement in my art in the near future, but until then you all have to suffer!
