Thanks for the review, I've now got started on the gallery and will submit again as soon as that's online...
I've also just discovered that the page limit was not actually in place, but was merely the maximum number of pages that could be made with their automatic webdesign process. The confusion is understandable since they themselves have one of the worst designed sites I've ever seen. Every link you click takes you back to the SAME PAGE with barely any information on it...
Hi, just wondering what you think of this site. It's not related to Deathwish, but I did it for an artist friend. Please let me know what you think:
I'm going to add a more detailed gallery in the portfolio section as soon as I can, for some reason, the hosting company has put a limit of 10 pages on the site. Does anyone know why this is? They've got a good bandwidth and storage space available, so I was wondering if it's just so they can get more money...
thanks for that, I've been meaning to stick a preloader on there for a while now, but I keep forgetting...
I think I have the problem sorted for now, although I'm still trying to figure out what actually went wrong...
Anyway, please tell me what you think of the php version of DEATHWISH Productions
Thanks for letting me know about the problem.
I would like you to take another look at DEATHWISH Productions and tell me what you think... Ive nearly got the PHP and MySQL code up and running, but please don't try to register or login yet...
hi again, I'm getting a bit bogged down with all this php stuff...
I've nearly finished the php version of DEATHWISH, having overcome a few snags in the process, so I should have the new version if the site online very soon
Does anyone know how I can create a page so that people can view other peoples profiles in detail and edit their own? help would be appreciated
The meaning of life is death.
That is how I see it; think about it this way, if you are religious, you probably believe in an afterlife, ie heaven or hell, the purpose of life is therefore to prove yourself worthy enough to go to heaven when you die, if this is the case, then the only reason to go through life is for what happens after death, meaning that the sole purpose of life is death.
On the other hand, if you are a filthy unbelieving atheist like myself (may we all burn in hell 8^D), then life was brought forth by a series of coincidences with no real meaning, therefore the only purpose of living is to eventually die.
I have believed this for quite a while now, and I don't see it as a particularly depressing philosophy, it is just realistic: everything comes to an end.
I would be interested to see other peoples view on this philosophy.
I know; noone's quite sure whether the guy who made the time cube site is serious or not, but the general consensus is that it's a very elaborate joke.
that website reminds me of: Time Cube
Anyone else seen this before?
By the way, I'd like to ask everyone's opinion on something; should I keep the flash navbar and logo at the top in a seperate frame or just combine the two?
At first I thought it would make navigation easier, but now we're starting to upload content, I'm thinking it may be better to combine the frames so that there's more space on each page... I'd value everyone's input on this as i can see equally valid arguements for doing it either way.
(by the way, I'm the only web designer for DEATHWISH, wisk runs the rest of the show and likes to take the credit for the site when he can)
lol, well done for taking the credit for the website wisk...
I'm currently working on a php version of the website, and have been busy creating a MySQL database so people will be able to create accounts. Eventually I hope to set up our own forum as an integral part of the site, but that won't be for a while...
I'll let you know when i get the first bit of php coding online, hopefully in a couple of days time.
