i really wanna be a voice actor. i wanna be in the booth one day recording for something, even if it is just a small role. i know i have so much work ahead of me, so much to improve, but i really want to do it. i plan on having a "real" job and going to college, but voice acting will always be my dream. and if i somehow get a break in it...

i love newgrounds though. even though i don't do too much as a voice actor, people still support me and help me out and critique me. i love that people are so down to earth (sometimes TOO down to earth), but i've met some really great people here. anyway, this is going a little off my main point, but newgrounds has definitely helped me reach some of my goals (like being in a video game, even if it wasn't my best performance). now i'm all sappy xD but seriously.

i know two basic arpeggios that are pretty useful, but i can't think of the name for the life of me. the "jazz" scale is one (not sure of official name).

the arpeggio i played a lot was (say if you start from the low E string on the third fret):
3rd fret, 6th fret (E)
3rd fret, 5th fret (A)
3rd fret, 5th fret (D)
3rd fret, 5th fret (G)
3rd fret, 6th fret (B)
3rd fret, 6th fret (E)

you can play it regularly or in triplets or in quadruplets. i can't quite explain how to play it in triplets so if you really care to know i'm sure you can find it on youtube or i could send you an audio sample or something.

first off, how are you going to go about selling it? are you trying to get a label? are you going to an independent CD making company and getting your music mass produced? or are you going to be mixing the CDs yourself and trying to sell it at shows?

if you are going to get a label, fantastic. that's where you'd most likely get most of your money. the problem with this is the complications- first off, GETTING signed is tough. second, your music doesn't exactly stay your music- meaning the whole "uploading it to the internet" part will create complications because they'd most likely want you to take it off. how are they going to make money for your music being on your newgrounds account for free? even if it is better quality?

the independent company, meh. you get someone to mass produce your album. i feel like it's a waste of money. sure, you have lots of CDs to sell but.. like someone else said before, unless you have a fanbase, no one will want to buy it.

i think the third is your best bet- going to local shows and stuff and selling your CDs independently. i actually have seen people do this and selling them for about $10. this way, you do what you want with your music and whatnot. the problem with this is you can't exactly mass produce it or become instantly famous with it. it seems like the route you are going for, though.

either way, i would definitely recommend making more songs. you think better quality is going to draw people to buying your music when you already have your music up here? sorry bud. quality alone isn't going to cut it. take the best music you have on here and put it into your album. then make some new songs, or remix your old ones.

i don't know how they did it, but my friend's band actually got a single onto itunes. i feel like that would help you out a lot too- having a single people can buy for not too much money.

i don't have xbox live, but my boyf and i play castle crashers together sometimes. usually, i just play by myself though. still definitely worth it! though yeah, it can get repetitive. i recommend not splurging on it too much in one day ;)

well, it's not a station that's it going to be aired on. it's basically an amateur project that's going to be uploaded to online sources (box.net, youtube) and maybe on newgrounds... though i'm not sure how well-received that will be since people on here only like music/flashes/games. i don't know how well a radioplay would do.

hey there! i am currently working on a project which i came up with and co-wrote. i have almost all the voices and can do the mixing of the sound/sound effects, if you want. i was just wondering if anyone would do the animations, as the animator had to drop out.

Project Details: Pretty short- about a 2 page script. A bunch of female voice actresses get pissed off that all the directors of projects always want male voice actors when there are way more females than males in voice acting. It's a little comedy, though I don't know if it's the kind of humor people on here like.

Animator Wanted: I'm looking for an animator who has done this before. Also, please stay committed. This project has been worked on since January, and I would like to finally finish it. Unfortunately, I can't pay you =/ Sorry! All credit will be given to you obviously.

this is all my opinion, not something i think is more "right" than anyone else.

i think God matters a lot. personally, i am agnostic with some christian roots. i find that God is pure joy and pure love. God isn't a person. God isn't sitting on your shoulder tallying up all the times you have or haven't followed the Bible/Koran/Torah/etc. God makes sense. if you ever looked really in-depth at nature, you will see that everything just makes SENSE. even to our very little molecules.

why is there the bible? why follow a religion? because, believe it or not, those "strict religious rules" actually make sense to the survival of humanity. in the judaic law in the ancient times, eating certain types of meat (like pig) were forbidden. the meat back at that time didn't have the kind of cleaning we have with our foods today, so it would often make them sick. however, it became more of a rule than of thinking "WHY was it a rule?" why shouldn't we murder? because you are killing someone and lowering the chance of humanity surviving. why should we be monogomous? because of sexually transmitted diseases and broken families. many of the "rules" of the bible really make sense if you look at them, though many of them can be somewhat by-passed with today's technology. why is sloth a deadly sin? because eating too much would cause bad health and for you to ultimately die earlier than you naturally would.

religion, ultimately, is a way for people to survive. it not only promotes peace, but healthy behavior which can elongate life.

i believe that as long as you live your life to your fullest potential, loving to your fullest potential, and finding your joy in the fullest potential, you will find God, whether you believe in God or not. you can never be truly and completely happy if you are harming yourself or others. if you are putting down others or going through life only thinking about yourself and your own success. you may have a big ego, a bunch of friends, a lot of material things, but are you truly happy?

i don't know if i made any sense... i am bad at explaining this =x and this was way long.

one of my favorites is "masterplan." i really love the lyrics. some other ones of course "champagne supernova," "don't look back in anger" and "wonderwall."

oasis is a bit cocky, but they kind of have a right to be. their lyrics are awesome and their musical ability is amazing. they're like a newer generation of the beatles =D
