I love my Sennheiser HD-25's, and I recommend them to everyone as the perfect all-purpose headphones. I use them for sound editing (film) and music production, and they're burly enough to be thrown around in your pack when you're out and about.

Even if you don't go with the HD-25's, I'd recommend sticking with Sennheiser cans. Best bang for your buck in my opinion. I have a pair of Sony's and a pair of AKG's sitting next to me that I haven't touched since I bought my Sennheisers.
