It's still illegal, apparently. Game developers/publishers really hate cracks.

Your also missing the point that most pirates are teenagers who can't get a part-time job, especially in this "Credit Crunch".

Best Buy has stopped their hiring freeze for both part-time and full-time jobs, and I know that McDonalds makes so much money that they can still hire anyone they want.

Yes, because cracks are made for the purpose of defeating anti-piracy measures.

At 5/10/09 12:18 AM, Eclipse914 wrote: I wouldnt do anything, seeing as anti-piracy strategies are retarded and do nothing.

They are meant to avert the average idiot from pirating games. Cheap broadband access makes it too easy to pirate, and DRM should not bother you if you do not pirate.

Look at DRM for example, and how many people it has pissed off.

And those people were probably lousy pirates. If you actually buy the games, you have nothing to worry about. I bought Crysis and Crysis: Warhead, two games with SecuROM, and it doesn't bother me.

And then think about this, would you like to be playing a game and then your savedata is erased, and/or an image is permanently burned into your tv? Didnt think so.

If you pirate the game, you deserve it. Likewise, try playing on cracked Russian 900 ping servers. That is the most miserable experience you can ever have, and those who don't pay for the game should not be allowed to enjoy the same experience for those who paid (easiest way to do this is by running a non-Steam game through Steam, which causes the game's master server to believe your copy is cracked.)

Also, people would and can find a way around all of your hacks, theyve hacked steam, made no-steam versions, removed DRM, etc, etc.

Look up. Multiplayer games especially are made really unenjoyable if anti-piracy is defeated.

Honestly, the companies that are so pissed about it do these things, and they are easily cracked by hackers, ie no-cd cracks.

Once again, look up.

Look, this thread fails, and so do anti-piracy efforts. Just give up already.

Maybe you should consider getting yourself a job and stop standing on top of a really stupid opinion. Oh wait, you are 13, so therefore your opinion is already invalid. And I'm calling that this kid will respond with so many flawed arguments that will make himself look like a dumbass in the long run.

I really don't understand why people need to pirate games. Just get a part time job at Best Buy, Wal Mart, McDonalds or some shit like that. The minimum wage pay should get you enough to buy new games.

So, since Windows 7 Build 7100 has come out, has anyone tried gaming on this OS?

So far, I've only tried Left 4 Dead, Team Fortress 2, and Fallout 3, and I have had no real problems yet.

Attention all idiots who think that DJ Hero is an original game:

beatmania

Also, yes, Activision has become EA sports, but that's because people keep feeding them money by buying every popular game they published to be with the "in" crowd.

Likewise, that's how Treyarch still exists.

Actually, in the End User License Agreement, Sony can press charges against those who manufacture, distribute, and use "unauthorized modifications."

So, technically, it's illegal, and you agreed to it by using it.

And likewise, I'm surprised that game publishers have not gone after GameStop using the EULA as the backbone of a lawsuit (unauthorized reselling.)

It was Jill Valentine. She supposedly died, but Wesker found that she did have some form of the T-Virus or the Progenator Virus (don't remember,) and Wesker used that to give Jill super-human abilities (Super PMS.)

Apparently used to develop Uruboros (just how the fuck do you spell that?)

I don't know, RE5 got it's head too far up it's own ass to care more about mindless shooting compared to item management, puzzle solving, and a half-way decent plot.

You will need a decent switch, and a lot of ethernet cables.

You can try doing an ad-hoc network, but I never set one up.

Fallout 3, because of my hatred for Oblivion prevented me from buying it. Then I bought it, and I really enjoy it.

Quantum of Solace, I got the special editon for $5, and I think I would of been better off just pirating the game. It feels like a horrid cross of Call of Duty 4, Gears of War, and Rainbow Six Vegas. And Treyarch developed it, so that didn't suprise me one bit.
