...pulling out anything electronic at school, even when trying to look through your backpack/manbag/gymbag/whatever?
So anyways, while I was in the library, working on homework that I was too lazy to finish, I realized that my pencil was not in my pocket. I started to look around for it, which then I realized that it was in my backpack pocket. Normally, this is where I keep a lot of stuff, including a TI-84 plus, pencils, house keys, and of all other things, a cell phone. Looking through the pocket, I was not able to find the pencil I was looking for, so I ended up taking out everything that was in there. By the time I took out the cell phone from the pocket, I found the pencil, which then a librarian started complaining about the cell phone that I pulled out of the pocket. She thought that I was "using an electronic device during school hours," even though it was off, and that I only pulled it out to look for a pencil.
Long story short, I managed to convince her not to confiscate it. So do any of you have teachers who get this anal about simple and seemingly stupid and pointless events like this?
