I can't move posts or topics around, but it looks like you've reposted in the audio ads thread where this belongs anyway.

Response to: Submitting covers/remixes question. Posted June 7th, 2009 in Audio

Problem has been solved: NO COPYRIGHTED SAMPLES. PERIOD. It doesn't matter if the creators provide free samples.

Remixes are NOT allowed; the problem is that people don't often have the proper definition of a remix. A remix is a different arrangement of an original song. This is not to be confused with a cover, which is a recreated song (from scratch) which should credit the original author.

The issue is often debated, but it's really quite simple; You can cover a song if you make it from scratch and don't use any of the original samples. You cannot use samples and create a remix. POINT FINALE.

Aside from my not knowing at all what you're asking for, you've broken a bunch of rules which you can figure out for yourself by reading these.

Response to: What audio production software? Posted May 24th, 2009 in Audio

Nope.

Too many threads like this. You can take a look at the Audio Sticky (particularly this thread) if you want an idea of the different software out there, and Rig has a slightly old list of some users and the software they use, which might be closer to what you're looking for.

I AM OFFICIALLY MENTIONING IT HERE.

Catoblepas and I are in great need of a programmer to complete our threesome.

Fuck this shit.

No goodbye threads. And for a goodbye thread, it's pretty pathetic anyway. A link to your userpage? Bland and uninspired.

Place that link in your sig, darling, and we'll get along just fine.

Awaiting Approval?

Audio mods are very busy, and it can take over two weeks sometimes to be approved. Anyways, it's all in that thread.

Response to: Power of Three Musicians Here! Posted May 15th, 2009 in Audio

More or less copy/pasta of my post in the Power of 3: Recruitment Thread:

- I am looking for a team, or rather for a team with an idea which needs a musician.

- I have been composing music for about four years. You can listen to most of it right here. I have had my music featured in Castle Crashers [(please) don't], some of Catoblepas' spiffy animations, and I have been on the Audio Portal's Top 30 list numerous times as well as the Top 5 twice.

The kind of music I write is electronic, but not specific; I enjoy composing music that fits IDM, ambient, industrial, electronica, dance, pop, and VG genres, and I'm always willing to try something new out. A few examples of my work:

  • a multitude of emotions

I strongly suggest you go through the other songs on my audio page as well, because I don't have a single style, so my selection here on NG is quite diverse.

- You can contact me via PM initially, and if it seems like it will work out, I'll give you my e-mail address and/or MSN or AIM screen names.

- I have no members in my group. I am looking more for the opportunity to be part of a group than to start my own.

Neat idea. I think it will be really cool to see some of these submissions!

I'm kind of late with this whole thing, though :(

If anybody is looking for an audio artist, I am available. I make a range of electronic music, most of which can be heard here.

It's something of a catchy pop tune; more mainstream than most of my music, but don't take that as meaning it lacks substance. Give it a listen, and maybe drop a review if you feel so inclined :)

You can make a new account to submit music, and that one will also have to be approved by the audio mods. Be sure you submit according the the rules next time if you don't want to be banned again :P

No, you don't. You still fail to realize that his problem is that he submitted an icon and can no longer edit it. It is true that once you have selected an icon for a track, you cannot edit it. That's just the way it is, and that's the answer to OP's question.

Next time pay attention and don't be so eager to flame.
