This is one of those debates that is just never going to end. I personally don't believe everything I'm told about marijuana/hemp/hashish/weed/grass whatever you want to call it. Smoking is bad for you whether you smoke tobacco or marijuana, but if you have the freedom to choose to smoke tobacco, which is extremely toxic and so much more addictive than most drugs known to mankind, then why don't you have the freedom to choose to smoke marijuana. A drug that is also toxic (lets not kid ourselves here) but nowhere near as addictive as nicotine.
Now I know in some cases smoking a bit of grass has brought out some interesting characteristics in certain people. Such as schizophrenia, paranoia and memory loss, but that doesn't mean it will happen to everyone. That's like saying if you smoke cigarettes you WILL get cancer, it's not the case. You have an increased risk of cancer but it's not a proven fact that you will get it.
I think proper studies need to be done on this interesting plant, not government studies into the negative effects of it, just an unbiased study into the general effects of it on a broad scope of people from around the world. I'm sure the results would make interesting reading and might put to bed some of these silly assumptions that people have about it these days.
Peace
Have you ever met anyone who's voted BNP? I was in Liverpool visiting family last year, and there was a guy there who was a member of the BNP, this guy spent the best part of an hour at my grandmothers house talking to me about how we should all be on the streets protesting about black and asian people living in our country, we should also be fire bombing thier shops and beating them at every opportunity according to this fine upstanding member of society.
So if thats what the people are like who vote for the BNP, i think I'd rather vote for the monster raving looney party than vote BNP.
Pff, why are you bitching about smoking being banned in bars? In england smoking is going to be banned in ALL public places. That means you cant even smoke on the platform of a train station. And as far as I'm concerned, that counts as outside.
I think hatter has it right there, if you're bitching about the prices you pay for fuel on a vehicle that has an engine the size of a small car, then you really should be thinking about what you're saying.

Uuh, yeah ok. That doesnt really make any kind of sense, partly because you've failed to pin that statement on to any part of a timeline, plus I'm not entirely sure what you meant by "they had few allies and were in poverty" When? Who?
The fact is European countries have had a lot more history because they've been around a lot longer, therefore more time for more things to happen. And yes, they were poor, but that was probably in the dark ages when most of Europe was being killed off by plague or after one of the Two world wars that did a hell of a lot of damage to the European countries participating in them.
In short, be more specific with your posts next time.

Wha.... erm... seriously what?
Did you even read any of the posts, or did you see the word "Manchester" and instantly assume that somehow Manchester United FC have somehow stolen some water from somewhere and magically blamed the Coca Cola company.

And a very good opinion that is indeed.
But some fat people have an over-active appetite that is actually a disease and not just a glutonous desire to stuff their face.
Well, thats kinda why i said people with eating disorders and diseases need help, people who are just fat because they eat out of buckets 9 times out of 10 are the ones who deserve all the ridicule they get.
People who are fat due to eating disorders or other such things as that need help and should get help. People who are fat because they cant put down the 4th bucket 'o chicken for the day deserve everything they get as they're fucking lazy fat bastards who complain about their weight yet wont stop eating anything that would choke a whale.
Thats my opinion anyway :)

Dude.......Calm down, its only a message board, if you cant have a debate with people about a topic without resorting to calling them "fucking retarded" or anything else like that then don't bother posting. You may not like what they have to say, and you may think you're right, but that's no reason to start a flame war.
Back to the point, if Iran is such a threat, then why oh why don't we have troops in that country stopping them from developing WMD's (Just like we did in Iraq)
Well, I think we know why, no not because Iran doesnt have as much oil as Iraq as a lot of people are thinking. If you look on a map and see where Iraq is, its right in the middle of where most of the trouble in the middle east is. Now it's my opinion that the war in Iraq wasnt really about stopping saddam, but it was more along the lines of giving western troops a more stable springboard for any future operations in the middle east, or at the very least, hoping to create an ally that can be used to help in such situations as would occur in Iran if they ever did make a nuclear bomb. Yes Iran is a country that shits a lot of people up, but for the moment things arent looking that bad, when they do start looking that bad, i think we'll all know about it.

My thoughts exactly. Personally I wouldnt want officer 7 bellies patroling the streets of where I live. I'm not sure if you could make it any easier for a criminal to escape if you had the poster boy for McDonalds chasing him, only to have a heart attack mid chase because the grease has clogged up his arteries.

Being a "devout lefty" in the UK isnt the same as it is in the US. For instance, if you get called liberal in the UK, most people just say... uuh, ok? Its not the dirty word it is in the US. But the PC birgade in the UK really piss me off. Its just proof that the entire government doesnt have a clue what its doing with these barmy and moronic laws.
Really, whats the fuss. I think North Korea has proved on many occasions that they couldn't hit a fucking target if they were an inch in front of it. And its not like thier ballistic missiles are of the highest grade are they, if I remember correctly most of the ones they've tested either fell into the sea or exploded spectacularly on the launch pad. I successful test in my view is when something other than a gigantic sea mass is hit.
Damn..... they're threatening.

Have you heard the song "Champagne Supernova" from the British band "Oasis". If you listen in the chorus the singer goes "A champagne supernova, a champagne superNOVER in the sky..."
Seriously its irritating..
I really wouldnt take the Gallaghers as the model Englishmen. They grew up in a shithole in Manchester, so theyr'e obviously not going to have perfect English, scratch that, they're not even going to have basic English skills. It seems to me that people in the UK today seem to think its "cool" to speak like they've had the part of thier brain that's in charge of speech removed. Its irritating, but there's nothing you can do about it. And i'm fairly sure this problem is not just limited to the UK.
"fo shizzle ma nizzle!"........ I rest my case =|

I agree that you have to let your kids know that these things exist, and at some point in thier lives they will be exposed to these kinds of things. The question is, how do you let them know and how far should you go in educating your children about these things.

Firstly, I'd prefer it if you didnt refer to me as an idiot, with that appaling use of the English language. I was merely stating my opinions, not once did I accuse you of knowing nothing.
once again, dont treat me as if im an 82 year old man with alzhemiers disease, i know what i said, and alchohol is not an accepted drug deemed harmless, if that were so then we would have let kids drink it legally, and will you please stop being sarcastic, this is a politics topic, not a place for you to just lord it over everyone.
Once again, take some calm pills, and chill the fuck out. Obviously alcahol is an accepted drug, the fucking government taxes it, just like nicotine. How much more accepted do you want it to be? Also, there was no sarcasm in my posts at all and I was not trying to "lord it over everyone" as you so eloquently put it. If you cant tell the difference between someone airing thier views and someone forcing thier views on someone else, youre in the wrong forum chap.
By far the worst problem in the UK is drink, not drugs as most people will lead you to believe.
Quick question for you, how much time and money do you think the NHS spends every year patching up some dickhead drunk who either fell over with his hands in his pockets, picked a fight with a group of guys twice his size because he thought he was samson, or some 14 year old girl who has to have her stomach pumped because she downed 4 litres of cheap cider and a quarter bottle of vodka in an hour.
Compare that to how many people go to hospital because of "harmfull" drugs and you'll soon see that everyone should be tackling this idiotic attitude towards alcahol in the UK.
You seem to be forgetting that alcahol is a drug too, its just an accepted drug that's deemed to be fairly harmless. I seem to have forgotten about the fact that kidney failure, liver failure, alcahol poisoning and how depressed and/or aggressive alcahol gets you is really quite harmless.

You know, using London as an example for England isn't really that good. London is full of mindless idiots following the latest trend, even if it's the anti-Bush trend. Do a tour of England to find the real English. Most people arent like Londoners, mainly because everyone outside London has managed to pull thier head out of thier asshole for more than 5 minutes a week.
Three words..... Dell Tech Support.
I'm fairly sure that anyone who's called the Dell tech support line will have a very similar story to me. Upon answering the phone you're met my a young man from India, who hasnt been trained in the slightest in how to actually solve any of the problems you may have with your Dell PC (and I have to add, there's thousands). After telling you to press a seemingly random combination of keys at the boot screen (they tell you to do this on just about every problem you have) they then tell you, and I quote "I'm sorry sir but I have not been trained to fix this problem, thank you for calling Dell tech support" and then the phone goes down.
It seems to me that in thier rush to save thousands upon thousands of my £££ and your $$$ Dell has missed the entire point of having a tech support line. That point is, you should at least get some helpfull advice that might further your own efforts in fixing your problem.
Yeah i've heard about them, they're trying to stop these moronic religious fanatics from bombarding the families of dead US servicemen with abuse, telling the families of these people that thier sons and daughters are going to hell. Its sick that these men have had to do what they are doing, but at the same time I'm pretty sure the families of these people appreciate what they're doing for them.
Someone will probably have more detail on this matter than me, I'm way too tired to look for a source :P

Not too sure about Karma. I've seen enough to make me lean towards believing it, but I've also seen enough to make me second guess myself. There's some sort of balance out there, dont know if its Karma or not, but there's something punishing all the dickheads out there.
The trend i've been noticing is its taking a lot of flak from americans, I rarely see a non american slate loose change.
Strange? I'll let you decide.
I certainly hope there's something we can do about this problem, I feel strongly about this subject, mainly because I live on an island, and if sea levels did rise by 20ft, half of where I live would be under water. Plus, you could kiss goodbye to the Netherlands parts of Belgium, France would be almost cut in two, most of Britain would be submerged too. Doesnt sound like the kind of place i'd like my grandchildren to grow up to see.

Firstly, yes AOL sucks, secondly, its primeminister, not president. We're not a republic.
And it is about time he resigned, he's been in the job for almost 10 years now, apart from being George Bush's poodle, he's loosing his grip on his own party. Both of these are damaging British government. So I really do think its about time he stepped down and let someone with a bit more testicular fortitude to take control of this country and sort out the many many problems that plague this country.
lets clear something up, Pikies arent an ethnic group. Theyre a bunch of low lifes who travel round, messing up and stealing from wherever they go. I dont care what anyone says, being prejudiced towards these people is a good thing, might give them a fucking wakeup call. Stop stealing, get a goddamn job and get a house, not a caravan.

People who do that kind of thing have mental problems, it's not the game thats the problem in that situation its the gamer.
