Example I know many people of Muslim descent who own small buisnessess like corner shops or restaurants. Did you ever consider the fact that there are more ways than being shot to be murdered?. The link you gave with the murder rates may not all be from guns.
I agree with you on the U.K issue, gun crime did indeed become worse after the legislation. However guns are only as dangerous as the person holding them, we will always have people who think like Cho Seng Hui did and shoot people. If there were gun laws in place making them illegal to purchase there it would have forced our killed to attack with knives and in that case he could have been disarmed.
Gun rate went up in the U.K and one of the major reasons for that would have been the major increase in the drug trade and gangs. Gangs fighting with gangs over turf and money, it is not all innocent people that get shot. So remember that when you whip up your numbers.

Well, actually you can change your religion anytime in your life after all it is your faith. The court is being idiotic on this one, who is to decide who can convert faith and who cannot, the answer lies in the person not a court house.
Communism: Great idea on papaer for somethings in reality it can never be. It will be a long time before another political ideology will come up and be as revolutionary as communism once was.
The problem with Communism is that it does not take into account the variation of human psychology and just how different everyone is and therefor cannot be branched into the same category in which communism defines equal in social and financial standing.
This reminds me of a system the government here tried to introduce. It was a system based on numbers and it was running of a model that everyone is selfish and drived for their own needs. These "targets" were calculated into the populace. For example a target is set out for police officers to catch more criminals and when they meet their targets that they would get a pay rise. What the system didn't factor was how people would achieve this target and cheat the system (corruption)
Similar to the corruption in the upper echelon of communist members. For example Mao Zedong and many other associates in the upper ranks of the CCP had luxurious lives all funded by China's economy.

It was obvious this kind of thing would happen, reminds me of the time when everyone swamped the portal with flashes of Steve Irwin and the Stingray or those 9/11 animations. What I do not like about this is the fact that he wants profit out of it, never mind the tragedy part but because he wants money from it when he is already extorting the tragedy.
