Furthermore, it seems that China may have their bid for the next Olympics blocked by Congress. To make things worse, Congress is reviewing China's trade status. This situation may cost China hundreds of billions of dollars.

How exactly?

No, that's not what I am talking about, I'm talking about the people who don't get it, but try, they are very annoying.

Did I mention that lower-level classes also tend to be more disruptive and belligerent.

Yeah I know, but you get used to disruptive classes and people who just don't get it. I have never really enjoyed learning so its no big deal for me.

"In retrospect, lighting the match was my big mistake. But I was only trying to save the gerbil," Eric Tomaszewski told the bemused doctors in the Severe Burns Unit of Salt Lake City Hospital. Tomaszewski and his homosexual partner, Andrew "Kiki" Farnum, had been admitted for emergency treatment after a felching session had gone seriously wrong.
"I pushed a cardboard toilet paper tube up his rectum and slipped Ragout, our gerbil, in," he explained. "As usual, Kiki shouted out 'Armageddon,' my cue that he'd had reached nirvana, so to speak. I tried to retrieve Raggot but he simply would not come out, so I peered into the tube and struck a match, thinking the light might attract him."
At a hushed press conference, a hospital spokesman desribed what happened next.

"The match ignited a pocket of intestinal methane gas in Kiki's colon. Flames shot out the tube, ignited Mr. Tomaszewski's hair and severely burning his face. It also set fire to the gerbil's fur and whiskers, causing it to scurry further up Kiki's colon, which in turn ignited a larger pocket of gas further up the intestine, propelling the rodent out of the cardboard tube like a cannonball."

Tomaszewski suffered second degree burns and a broken nose from the impact of the gerbil, while Farnum suffered first and second degree burns to his anus and lower intestinal tract.

Sadly, Ragout the gerbil did not survive the incident.

American Pie Posted April 10th, 2001 in General

A teenager who imitated a scene from the hit movie "American Pie" was severely burned when he tried to shag a hot apple pie. Dwight Emburger, 17, was rushed to the hospital with serious burns to his penis. He apparently could not quell his desire until the tasty pastry had cooled, and his reward was a penis badly scarred and scalded by the hot filling. A hospital spokesperson in Boise said, "This demonstrates that producers should consider the effects their films have on the idiot gene pool."

Why I consider Less than Jake a punk band:

1) My friends who like metal do not listen to Less than Jake, and my friends who listen to punk music love Less than Jake.
2) The songs follow many common punk styles, i.e.: short, 2 minute songs (whereas metal tends to be 6+), ska-ish trumpets in the background of some songs, themes of dissatisfaction with society and rebellion (whereas metal tends to be about the macabre or violence), using only 3 chords in most of their songs...
3) allmusic.com classifies it as Ska-Punk, Ska Revival, and Post-Grunge

Fair enuff.
The thing is that all that "pussy-punk" does it deliver a message?

The problem is that an apology would be a disaster.

First, it would be a political disaster. Most people think that the US should NOT apoligize, and it might affect Bush in the next election.

It would be an international disaster. It would send a signal to the rest of the world that the new administration is weak.

There are a bunch of others that I don't care to mention.

Thats utter bollocks.
One the next election is in 4 years and if Bush stays true to form he definatly won't be elected next time.
Two What so they apolgise once and what are they gonna get invaded? I don't think so, its just about image and no-one bloody needs one

Response to: 04/09/01: Bush Budget Posted April 10th, 2001 in Politics

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - U.S. federal tax receipts would rise by an average annual rate of 3.6 percent over the next five years, even with the $1.6 trillion tax cut proposed by President Bush, according to the administration's fiscal 2002 budget released on Monday.

The budget, spelling out the details of Bush's spending and tax plans for the fiscal year beginning October 1, said the projected growth in tax receipts from 2002 to 2006 is largely due to assumed increases in incomes because of economic growth and inflation.

``In the absence of the president's proposed tax reductions, receipts are projected to grow at an average annual rate of 5 percent between 2002 and 2006,'' the budget document said.

Even though the president has just released the details of his budget, the House of Representatives and Senate have already begun work on next year's budget plan and Bush's proposed 10-year tax cut package. Last week, the evenly divided Senate scaled back Bush's tax cut by about 25 percent to $1.2 trillion.

Lets see it says taxes will rise ("U.S. federal tax receipts would rise by an average annual rate of 3.6 percent over the next five years") yet it says taxes will be cut("the House of Representatives and Senate have already begun work on next year's budget plan and Bush's proposed 10-year tax cut package. ")

Really? It sounded kinda buddhist to me

Read the first section and had a horrible feeling of deja vu, that's how it is in my school, in some classes. Heh, I'm not a punk, and I don't believe you were referring to me anyway. I agree that many people think they are 'punks' for the same reason. I love Rancid, but not because I saw them on a box of Wheaties. The first time I heard them, I hated them (like every fucking band I grow to like... its like music is an acquired taste for me), but then again it was only like two of their songs that I had heard. After a friend's repeated urgings, I went out and bought '...And Out Come the Wolves' (at the time I bought all my music because I wasted soo much money). That CD converted me, and I went ahead and bought 'Let's Go' and 'Life Won't Wait' as well. I still hate those two songs I first heard, but I love the band overall. So boom, I'm not a punk wannabe :)

You heard Rancid 2000?
Its alot more punky then the more skay tunes of Life Won't wait.
I would like to point out that Less than Jake are not punk, they are metal, also nu-metal sucks

No where in any of the spiritual "laws" I follow does it tell me not to have sex before marriage. Actually, the sexual act itself is considered very spiritual. No wonder orgasms used to be called "little deaths."

Little deaths? Strange. Anyway what relgion would that be?

New punk is quite good(with bands like Rancid, Anti-flag, that kinda stuff) but then it has the utter crap that give punk a bad name(Greenday for example) but then there is old punk with the great such as the clash the sex pistols.

I wud like to point out this is all post punk we r talking about

I'm not trying to convert anyone, just saying that I like to eat meat. :) I have some pictures I took of different cook outs, with meat. I will have to find them, scan them, and put them in this post. :) I once grilled this like 64oz or bigger steak. It was huge! It took up like half of the grill. It was funny, because I started it with my friends regular steaks. Probably like 12-16oz's a piece. There steaks were done, and they were done eating them for like 30 minutes before my giant steak was done! It was good though. :)I think I have pictures of that thing somewhere, but I took the pictures after it was almost done cooking. It looked bigger when it was raw, before all the fat and juices cooked off. :)

Ummm nice

It seems that the Chinese fighter pilot would be the one at fault, but the Chinese are treating the captives well, all the Chinese want is an apology(despite being probably at fault), Georgy boy should just apologise & that should start the ball rolling in the right direction.

It can "seem" anything, depends which way you look at it and where you get your sources from
