Infinity Ward Recycle Buildings In MW3 Straight From CoD 4
I hate the newer CoD games and even I can admit that this isn't a big deal. Devs do it all the time (see F3 and New Vegas).
A lot of game developers do it, but usually not with games that spaced out. Fallout 3 launched in 2008, New Vegas launched in 2010. Not to mention that New Vegas is not a direct sequel to Fallout 3. Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare was released in 2007 and now Modern Warfare 3 is a direct sequel released in 2011. That's about 4 years apart.
I'm not hating on the Call of Duty franchise I own all the games in the series. However the franchise has been using the same engine and set pieces for a little bit too long. The competition is starting to really show how out dated the games feel/look.

Nintendo sure is stuck in a tight spot, but it isn't the first.
Action-Adventure Platformers.
Ex: Psychonauts, Beyond Good and Evil, etc.

I believe it is just if you buy the game new. I bought it on sale shortly after it released for $40 and the code was inside for the original game.
It's not the perfect game, but it is pretty good. The level designs are gorgeous, the story is interesting and the platforming is pretty solid as well. The main complaint I would have is the repetitiveness and pacing at some points. One level in particular drags on for what feels like forever. That's still a pretty good deal though, I would personally take it up. You get Alice: Madness returns and then the original Alice with achievements.
I don't think it takes me an hour to get a kill in Halo. Usually when I go in for a kill it is within a matter of seconds. If the person does get away, that's part of the thrill and fun. All those close encounters when both your shields are down, you have thrown a ton of ammo and each other and you're now relying on melee, it's a great rush.
I've had my fair share of bullshit in Halo, but that goes for every multiplayer game I have played. Perhaps the style of a Halo shooter isn't for you.

I noticed that too when I entered the room. I'm guessing that will be in store for the next game. That or a Catwoman spin off.

I just got to the cat woman part in the main campaign. My goodness is this game great. The side missions are actually worth it because they introduce awesome villains you wouldn't see otherwise.
This game and Batman: Arkham City are going to be my games of the year. It is 2009 all over again and I love it.
So did anybody else get stuck at the door in the steel mill door haha? I felt like an idiot when I realized why it wasn't opening.
I'm still not a fan of motion control games in general but Kinect really has been stepping up its game. The recent amount of games released with Kinect compatibility have been pretty solid and the new Dashboard that really utilizes Kinect is pretty cool.
Kinect is a pretty good addition to the Xbox. I don't mind it because I like it as an option, not as the mandatory way of doing things.

I was thinking the same exact thing. That and maybe Project Draco for Kinect. There are probably more elements than just flying and enjoying the environments but the feel of just gliding with no controller over beautiful environments is pretty sweet.

It's also has 250 new GS points. I know 10 dollars is a lot considering you can buy a whole game on XBL but it really isn't that badly priced of a DLC. Hell the MW map packs are 15 and consist of 3 maps.

And so the debate about the debate thread begins :)
I was thinking about a thread similar to this a little while ago. I don't know if this is a sturdy enough topic to begin with and I wouldn't just have it between two people. Let people form teams and sides and let them work it out. You're going to need a moderator and a host of some sort to keep things clean and to keep the conversation on track and going.
UFC Xbox LIVE app goes live on December 1st.
I laughed my ass off when he goes through the hippie's apartment haha.

That's exactly what they're doing. They are making PCs, Windows phones and Xbox brand in sync with one another. There will be Xbox LIVE on Windows 8 and there is already a version of it on the Windows phone now. There is even an app coming out for the Windows phone in which you can control your Xbox with it. In one of the videos a girl is shown picking a movie on her phone and then has it play to her Xbox. Some pretty cool stuff.

it looks alright by the way
All the material here was in development and/or shown off long before the death of Steve Jobs.
It's because people start to hate on games that become really popular and mainstream because of the fanbase that goes along with it. Instead of taking out the anger and frustration on ignorant fans that don't know any better, they start hating on the series and start saying X games is better than Y game. X games is usually a lesser known or less popular game, making it more popular with them.
Once things become cool, they are uncool.
People are funny aren't they. ;)

I could go on and on and on. They are still alive and well.
The original post is about how limited the variety of fighting games feels this generation. I listed a handful of popular fighting games. You respond with most of them haven't had a best seller in years. I respond with sales facts with a lot of them selling well over a million. I don't know what more you want to prove that there is variety, quality and strong sales of fighting games this generation. Most of the big fighting games of the past generations are still around and are still massive hits.
More fighting games this generation:
Battle Fantasia
Guilty Gear 2: Overture
Final Fight: Double Impact
Guardian Heroes (Released on XBLA/PSN)
Sure there may not be a myriad number of fighters released anymore, but the same goes for pretty much any game genre that has been around for a long time. Games are expensive to develop and publish now days so the bigger and more successful franchises rise to the top while the ones that haven't made as much of an impact kind of fall off the radar. This is true for even first person shooters and they are the most popular genre out right now.
That's right, it's that time of year again! We are now nearing the release of the Fall 2011 Xbox 360 Dashboard update and in this thread I will try to list and describe all the features I can. If I do miss anything then please point it out and add it to the topic. Note that not everything is known about the update and most of what we know is either from the E3 presentation in the summer or is leaked.
Visual Update
Video
As we were shown at E3, the dashboard will have a bit of a refresh. Now before you get your panties in a bunch it isn't going to be as of dramatic overhaul as the first NXE. It basically builds and makes the NXE more efficient. You can check it out in the video above of course.
Cloud Storage
Video
You will now be able to store your games saves online! This means that you can not only save some space on your harddrive, but you will be able to load your saves from any Xbox 360! In addition this gets rid of the pesky process of having to recover your profile when you want to use your LIVE account on a different Xbox 360. You can now just load your account/profile from online with ease.
Bing Search/Kinect Integration
Video
You can now use the whole dashboard with Kinect. This means you will no longer have to go to a separate hub to use the Kinect. In addition to this, you will be able to search anything on your Xbox/Xbox LIVE with Bing by simply just using your voice. This makes finding content a lot more easy.
LIVE Television
Video/List of partners
You will now be able to stream live T.V. via your Xbox 360. What this means is that you will be able to watch television just through your Xbox 360 without an additional charge (for most partners). For those of you that have opted out on cable this could be a great thing for you. It differs from region and provider so check out the link to see what your setup is going to look like.
Skype
This is pretty self-explanatory. You will now be able to use Skype on your Xbox 360. Microsoft recently purchased Skype so a lot of people were expecting this already.
YouTube
Again, this is pretty self-explanatory. You will have a YouTube app on your Xbox 360 to view and share videos.
Beacons
This allows Xbox LIVE subscribers to notify others about future game plays, through Xbox LIVE itself or Facebook. If you intend to play a game in the evening, for example, you'll be able to notify your friends about it.
That's all I have for now. As more information comes in, I will update. I hope you all enjoy and I look forward to hearing what you guys think.
