Ah DLC is becoming more and more popular. PS3 has some of the biggest DLC with games like Ratchet and Clank and Wipeout HD. I read that there is suppose to be around 10 unannounced games at the awards. If I recall correctly, Sony took most advantage of the awards last year and showed games like Uncharted 2 so expect some big hitters from Sony.

You will not be prompted for an update, rather you will see a Facebook and Twitter tabe in the "My Community Blade". Zune will appear in the Video Marketplace, and Last.FM in the Music Marketplace. Once you have selected these you will have to downlod a small application and then you can use them as much as you like. I have heard that some people didn't get it right away, but you should have it now.

Halo 3 should be the number one Xbox game. Put aside if people think it is overhyped or not, it is Microsoft's flagship title and managed to keep down CoD4, CoD: WaW, Gears 2, GTAIV, etc for the majority of the time. Halo 3 is also the top selling game on the Xbox 360 with over 10 million copies sold (which is insane) and it is one of the few games that really is "Only On Xbox". Number 6 is ok I suppose, but a little bit of a slap in the face in my opinion.

MW2 is great and all, but it really doesn't have that connection and history that Halo 3 does with the 360. I love both games though.

Making it free would be a better move than giving it a price cut, in the eyes of the consumer anyway. The problem with making the service free is that there are literally millions of people that have a paid subscription to LIVE, and if you made it free than their money was wasted and they will be pissed off. The only solution I could think up of was to make Gold the standard (online for free) and upgrade every previous Gold member to a "Platinum" status. You would be Platinum until your subscription ran out and you would have the option to renew or not. Online play would be free either way but with the Platinum service you would get some serious perks and benefits. Perhaps the occasional free DLC, much like Qore.

I'll sign on later and see if they changed anything since the preview. I have been using the update for a couple of weeks now and Facebook was pretty buggy. My 360 actually crashed when using it.

I was in the preview program as well. I don't like how cluttered the dashboard is getting with all the blades. My Community, Spotlight, Inside Xbox, etc. is getting a little too excessive.

Yeah it looks like the PS3 isn't getting Facebook as much as it is getting options to optimize your PS3 for Facebook on the PSN browser. It looks great on the browser but that's really nothing new I guess?

What's done differently on the 360? I haven't really been paying attention to the specifics of the twitter and facebook integration. I don't expect I'll use it on the PS3 though; none of my facebook friends want to know what game I'm playing.

I got into the preview program and I used Facebook once, maybe twice. It's neat I guess but I wont be using it that often, I use my PC for Facebook. I don't have a Twitter account but it is essentially the same deal.

The Xbox 360 version just seems a lot more integrated with the console and just seems to look better IMO. Again, I would rather use the PS3 browser for Facebook than this app.

I'll probably pick it up for Christmas. I played the demo and it wasn't different enough from the first for me to get it day one, there are a lot of other games I'd rather rent/buy before hand.

I guess they are going to make it similar to the 360's set up. I personally prefer using the web based version of Facebook though but since the PS3 has both an online browser and the app I guess they can make something better altogether to fit the PS3.

Mmm, every year there is always somebody who says that "this year is the best year for gaming" solely on the fact that a couple games are coming out that they like. If you look at the releases for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and the Wii for 2010 you will see that it certainly trumps 2009 and any year close to it by a long shot.
