What did you expect? It's a ludicrous topic. Why would an all-encompassing entity even need to form political opinions? If there was a person someone, in a bubble, with absolutely no worries or equals or anything – he wouldn't have a political belief system. Politics are borne out of strife. It's like asking what sort of economy God roots for, or what is running in the afterlife. There is no want, thus no need for economics.
You're applying anthropomorphic tendencies onto a God. That's just dumb in and of itself.
Not to defend moralibritarian, but I kind of think he was kind of joking while making this topic. I really don't see how it can be taken seriously.
I know the best way to have zero civilian casualties. Don't start the damn war.

I'd kinda like to see Rove actually get convicted of something (it looks as if he is likely going to walk on this one). Rove is a manipulative spin doctor who looks like a goblin.
As to whether Rove and Libby did something that was incredibly worng or just a little worng, the fact remains that what they did was still illegal. I do think the media is rolling with this and taking it a lot farther than they should; as they do with everything. I just don't like the fact that many signs point to the fact that Rove and Libby outed the CIA agent for malicious reasons because her husband was bashing the Bush administration. Politics these days is just ridiculous.
Expect to only get stupid answers here in the general forum. If you want a serious answer and discussion, try the politics forum.
Ok, this thread has gone way off topic. I will make an attempt to bring it back to Fance as opposed to the petty fighting about WWII or whatever.
Personally, I have absolutely no qualms whatsoever with France. I find Paris to be an amazing city, defenitely one of the most artistically rich on this globe. All of the French people I know are great people who actually aren't pussies; however I do realize the 20 or so french people I know arent all encompassing of the French people. I love France, it is home to some of the most enlightened people of our time.
Unfortunately, enlightenment and artistic prowess isn't what is seen upon these days as being virtues of humanity (at least by the general American). Our government needed a scapegoat, because at the time the government was losing public favor of the Iraq war, and they wanted to instill a black and white "You're either with us or against us" mentality; it was a tactic to gain favor and try to raise natianalism (artificially I might add) in order to mask the fact that the Iraq war was losing favor. Now, for some reason us Americans have already had preconceived notions of the French being snoody and having a superiority complex (which I have found to be untrue through personal experience). This just made France a very easy scapegoat, and all of those mindless people in this nation who do whatever our administration says to do, and think the way they are told to think, just jumped on the bandwagon.
It seems we need an excuse to blame somebody else for most things, and we arent a cohesive nation unless we are pissed at another nation. All of those here who are telling you that the French people are stupid are quite narrowminded, and are easilty swayed by American media. I guarantee you that none of these people have even met the Frech president nor do they have a firm grasp as to why France did not support the war. Let them talk, for what they say really means nothing until they actually get some personal basis behind their accusations. It's funny how so many people make judgements about those they have absolutely no basis to make judgements on.

Why is it that so many people on this board make the same arguments I made when I was a 12 year old Communist?
At the time we armed Saddam, it was the right decision. He was willing to go to war against a much greater threat, Iran, and we were all to happy to let Arabs kill Arabs. That the decision later worked against us doesn't mean that we were wrong at the time to arm him. It was correct strategy, and we'd do it again if given the opportunity.
Well, he was just as much a bastard then as he is now. Thing is, we only cared about our own interests, and didn't care at all who's hands we were putting deadly weapons into. When we did what doesnt matter. If it benefeited us to still sell him weapons now instead of dethrone him... I guarantee you that we would still be selling them to him. We dont care who is killing who, as long as we benefeit from the situation. An enemy of the enemy is our friend; that is until we dont share the same enemy anymore.

If you have you'll see that a vast majority of states are red, only a few are blue.
Have you ever looked at election results by county as opposed to state? you would see then that there are tons of blue patches all over the Mid and Southeastern United States. It's the winner take all concept that makes the US look almost entirely red. Even if you argue that most of the country is "red", there still seems to be 45%+ blue votes each election.
I dont think the election was very fair on 2000 but i think that if gore was president we would go back to the same nonsence of the clinton administration, attack after attack, gore would just stand around and pretend that the "religon of peace" wasn't doing anything.
Opinion with no basis of fact whatsoever. Who knows what Gore would have done? Next time dont push off your opinon as fact. Makes you look stupid.

Read that last sentence "i've worked harder then any minority!?" I think that pretty much sums it all up. As long as people continue to think that this country is separated by those who are minorities, and those who arent... we will consistantly have a problem. Only when these walla are broken down will this country be more "equal."

Really, I don't quite see the problem, yes battlefield britain was good, yes they should make more, but what TV channels are you watching anyhow? The history ones I watch on sky hardly are overly obsessed with American wars; those being UK History and the History channel. They may be heavily orientated around WWII, but it isn't all about America.
Yeah, its all wars that the US has been in. Us Americans have a problem with being innately ethnocentric. We hardly get taught world history in schools, and mostly arent required to learn other languages among other things. I think the point of the post was to aid in pointing out that fact.
It's time for people to read what people have to say with an open mind, instead of replying with OMGWTFBBQ YOU DOPNT THINK THE SAME AS ME SO YOURE WRONG I SHALL FLAME YOU. Listen to what people have to say... if it's not what you think then so be it, there will be people out there who dont think the same as everyone else. Its the people who think differently from the masses who want their opinion to be heard. So let it be heard and comment civily instead of being an idiot and calling them names.
I wrap puppies in barbed wire then roll then down a rocky hill into a box of broken glass. That and I watch movies.
