Ok. thanks for the reply. I guess I'll have to wait.

Response to: how do you delete a submission Posted February 20th, 2007 in Audio

Any idea about when the redesign is gonna happen? I'd like to delete my audio as well...

Response to: Review Etiquette Posted February 13th, 2007 in Audio

OMG Bad-Man, does that mean you're finally gonna be honest and say that my music sucks. :p

Yes, I agree it's possible to leave a review that's not totaling sucking up to the musician in question and might help them. If the drums are off time, I for one, am gonna let you know god damn it, but some people don't want the help or aren't willing to invest the time or money into making better quality recordings so sometimes you have to leave a review with that in mind and just let them know the positives... Remember that reviews are mostly just people's opinions so it's best to go with the facts.

Haha yeah, proof read ...and speedys new tune "Heavy Riff of Death" is wicked. Has some of the best drudge riffs I've heard on here. Plus his song "The Cleansing" is fucking great just so you know ;)

Haha good point.... It's a gamble. Sometimes you will have a song doing well getting downloads and decent votes all week and then Tuesday comes around and all the trolls come out from under their litte rock and fucking drop them 0s. But thank god the real world isn't like this. Can you imagine bands sabotaging other bands at shows?

Response to: Best Heavy Metal/Rock Posted November 9th, 2006 in Audio

Goddamnit. I really got to learn to prof read my posts before posting them. "One of the better singers!"

Response to: Best Heavy Metal/Rock Posted November 9th, 2006 in Audio

OMG. what about Rickbass21? Definetly one of the better sings on NG.

Response to: Your Changes For The Audio Portal! Posted November 4th, 2006 in Audio

My ideas...

1) Make the voting system less important in the score. Make it go up the charts by unique listens and downloads as well, with only one from one IP address counted. In other words if someone listens to the whole song they probably liked it. If not, it doesn't count.

2) Songs should have to work their way up the chart and not start at the top and get voted down. Just like in real life. Maybe make voting more of a cumulative effect. If somebody votes zero or a one then they haven't done as much damage.

3) Make it so we can see how many votes it gets and what the votes are in a graph... Not who voted but what the vote was.

3) Add catogories for Production. Performance and Creativity. The other ones are too hard to rate.

4) Make the A-bot charts go by number of votes as well. If a song has 50, three votes it's probably better than a song that has 1, five vote. This would probably make poeple submit earlier in the week so that they could get more votes..

4) Ability to delete songs or change them

Ahhh ok. Then it's a configuration problem then. I don't know what soundcard are using but I would check to see in the mixer (if you have one) that it's not set to recorded from midi or something.

Response to: Connect guitar direct to mic jack? Posted November 3rd, 2006 in Audio

Jarrydn's absolute right. You don't need a preamp at all. I don't use one. It's all done with the line in...

Response to: recording Posted November 3rd, 2006 in Audio

Hmmm...

What do you mean record stuff straight from the speakers and what soundcard are you using?

Response to: GAA! drum kit from hell i need help Posted November 3rd, 2006 in Audio

Ok. I don't know for sure about DKFH 2 but I'm pretty sure it comes with it's own sampler... So you don't really need beatcraft. You could import the individual wav files in to beatcraft but I'm pretty sure you'd lose the velocity layers. In other words if you changed the volume of the snare it's still gonna be the same sample played at a different volume and not a new sample and thats kinda the point of having DKFH. Your drum rolls will sound way more realistic if you do that. What you want to do is use your recording program as your sequncer. Add DKFH as a VST. Cubase is the one that I use and am pretty happy with. It's more work but you will have more control over your samples... Hope this helps.

Response to: GAA! drum kit from hell i need help Posted November 2nd, 2006 in Audio

yeah, It's an amazing program. Which version do you have? superior? DKFH 2 or the first one? It would help if gave more details...

Response to: Halloween contest Posted November 2nd, 2006 in Audio

That's funny that you should mention that. Me and Badman started working on a cover of that song awhile back. I've got it half complete somewhere on my hard drive. I might be in to this. Although it's kinda late. Don't you think? But if enough people are into it I'll do it for sure.

Response to: songs! Posted August 26th, 2006 in Audio

Ok. I normaly don't whore myself like this but I think my classical piece Lord of Storm & War is pretty good. I'm working on a better version of it right now and should be finished in a couple of weeks... And I have lots of sad songs as well.

Response to: The Myspace/Soundclick etc thread! Posted August 8th, 2006 in Audio

My soundclick page is on my sig. I'm suprised at how well I'm doing there... I've been in the top 10 in the medieval charts and in the top 200 of the classical charts for a couple of months now.

Please tell me this isn't stolen. It sounds just like the original song with some reverb or something added.

Response to: audio portal doctoring? Posted June 28th, 2006 in Audio

Probably, can't really tell for sure but I'm sure it's happened before. The voting system here at the audio portal is kinda broken but there are alot of talented people here as well and sometimes they make it on the list.

Response to: "d Davis"--is He Really Don Davis? Posted June 28th, 2006 in Audio

I doubt it's him. First off, why would he submit here? To get more exposure? Yeah right. He's got exposure now. And plus there's the whole copyright problem. Does he own the pieces that he writes? And people at that level don't blink unless they are getting paid so I doubt he's gonna be submiting songs for free so that flash artists can use them.

But, maybe I'm wrong maybe he's just a super cool guy but I doubt it.

You'll never geuss it. ;D
I got the first one in the post which was Disintigrators by Megadoodle, and all the Cannibal Corpse, Slater and Kreator ones, but I don't have a clue what this one is?

How about these gems:

Unafraid of Punishment,
With a Passive Government,
There's nothing for you to regret.

I think that's something off of Divine Intervention by Slayer. Dittohead... The rest I don't know.

Here's another one that should be easy and it's funny too:

A man lies in the corner, covered with blood
Bloody wounds on his body, praying to his god
People pass him by, but they say
Why should we care about him? he will die today...

Or what about this one...

Bla bla bla b-blah blah b-bla blah
Bla bla bla bla.
Argh...Fuck...Kill

Response to: lets play a game of metal Posted May 12th, 2006 in Audio

I've got a new one. Can anybody get them?

"Propaganda death ensemble
Burial to be
Corpses rotting through the night
In blood laced misery"

"Inhuman violence
I never thought it would come from this far
Sadistic intensions
My greed for blood is growing more and more"

"Won't you come into my room, I wanna show you all my wares.
I just want to see your blood, I just want to stand and stare."

"Start trouble, spread pain
Piss and venom, in your veins
Talk nasty, breathe fire
Smell rotten, you’re a liar
Sweat liquor, breathe snotStart trouble, spread pain
Piss and venom, in your veins
Talk nasty, breathe fire
Smell rotten, you’re a liar
Sweat liquor, breathe snot"

Can anybody get them without using google? It should be easy for anyone who listened to metal in the 80s...
