also his head is supposed to be the shape of a bowl on top but I lack the skill to portray that.... Next one I do will be better than this.

haha thank you? I know its really messy and lacking skill, but I'm working on improvement everyday! Thanks for giving feedback though :)
Alright so I can't delete the other thread or this one.... I'm sorry for double posting everybody. And I'm reeeally sorry for publishing my unfinished character model movie in the art portal and wasting everyone's time. I'm hard at work making new pieces for the past couple of days, so if anyone's interested in critiquing my work again I'll be posting sketches and new pieces in this thread before submitting to the art portal, just to make sure they're worthy and not a waste of peoples time. Thank you all so much! Hope you're having a damned awesome day! I'm like in a state of euphoria because my art is getting looked at on this site, it makes me so happy. Also you guys can post whatever work you want critiqued in here as well if you'd like to. Also, if I'm breaking any of the rules again and being a noob, please let me know. Thanks!
Here's a taste of my work from a few years ago (I think 2009 but I'm not sure)
Acrylic paint with india ink
can't recall original dimensions
lost the original piece :/
Many people do not like this one because of the baby and all
but I don't know, I've always thought it was interesting
as messed up as the subject matter may be.
Just to let everyone know its not my intention to offend with this piece I love babies and would never want this to happen
I just start drawing and messed up stuff comes out sometimes.
My apologies.
I guess just try to look past the subject matter when reviewing it?
I'll have some sketches up a bit later today too.

I posted some new art
I guess it could be considered "fine art" if you're being generous, I drew it a few years ago in art class and they're the only pieces I'm really proud of
therefore I must have them ripped apart and destroyed!
figuratively speaking of course
I need you all to take a peek at my artwork and tell me all the things I did wrong and need to improve
there's not much to work with at the moment cause of the un-scouted newbie upload limit thing
kinda frustrating that I have to delete art to post new stuff since I haven't been scouted yet
but oh well,
would very much like some feedback so I can improve my work
in the hopes of making something bad-ass enough to get scouted
so any and all advice would be much appreciated from those interested in artwork!
please be constructive and gentle with my fragile ego
I just want to know what I need to improve on.
Included an example of my artwork so you all can see if its even worth reviewing...
p.s. this pink haired lady isn't uploaded with my other artwork yet, gotta delete some cruddy stuff first to make room for improving art.
I literally have nothing else to do all day but make art and play video games (waiting on work permit so I can get a dang ol' job), games are fun and all but too much of them and I feel like I'm wasting my time, so I'm interested in being involved in art based (I even have some minimal c#, html, and actionscript3 coding skills) and gaming based projects. One day I hope to learn enough to produce my own small windows or flash game using my art (and anyone else who's willing to contribute to a project of that sort) but for now those are all just pipe dreams until my art improves. So it would be so awesome if I could get feedback from you all here on Newgrounds.
Okay so I've been informed that I'm doing this whole forum thing wrong, so I'm deleting both of the threads I posted and starting fresh (doing it right this time according to site rules) my apologies for being such a newbie, I'm getting the hang of it though. Also I wanted to say thank you from the bottom of my hear to ALL who replied to my post, even if some were a bit more hurtful than anything (I'm a sensitive whiner) but really all and any feedback is helpful, even if it kinda hurts my feelings :P anyways, thank you all for taking the time to help me out. If anyone would like reviews or anything of that sort feel free to ask, I owe you all one! :)

You need to stop assuming that originality comes from not knowing how to do anything, Test.It certainly doesn't hurt to get some variation going, artistically speaking. I'm of the firm belief that we're already putting far too much emphasis on anatomy and overlooking other flaws in the progress. In favour of having an arm being the right length, we miss the fact that an entire piece has nothing particularly interesting going for it, or even worse, trying to 'fix' the one thing interesting (or "wrong").
I'm not saying I have it 'right'. No-one is 'right' when it comes to artsy stuff. Sure, you can give advice on anatomy, great. I personally just don't give a shit about that stuff stemming from the Renaissance, myself. I'm just trying to make us look less like a shitty highschool teacher and more like pirates. We need to discover and loot ideas with a varied crew as opposed to being the captain's parrot.
I think thats exactly my problem, I'm so concerned that when someone sees my piece they'll tell me "well her shapes all wrong, her arms and legs are blah blah blah etc., you get the drill proportions uneven, looks like poop from the butt." and instead of seeing this character that I've seen in my mind, all they'll see is a misshapen mess; so I spend so much time trying to get the character looking real and proportionate, that I forget what inspired me to draw the damn thing in the first place, then I finish it out of obligation with no real care for the outcome of the piece, I lost what love for it I had as I was trying to make it perfect. I do think I need a better grasp of anatomy, but I'm not going to drop everything and just concentrate solely on that, sometimes I prefer uneven proportions and do them purposefully, but most of the time its just the way my hand translates whats in my mind, and I need to train my hand to translate whats there better. Thank you so much for your reply, its led me to a self realization about my work. Wow you're good.

It's the getting my characters to not have the body shapes of hideously deformed mutants part I'm working on, which Is why anatomy would be at least a little beneficial for me to study. Not sure if you are saying I'm unoriginal? or... I'm honestly not quite sure what you're getting at with that last line, but thank you for your advice and thank you for replying to my post!

Slaurak555: Whilst anatomy is "important", you mainly just need to keep on drawing. Anatomy will follow along the way in a stylized manner. Don't try and force it by learning from books or it might come out very standardized and ill-fitting. What you mainly should be thinking about is the composition. Plan ahead an interesting pose and angle. They're all posing in quite a bland fashion right now and the lack of any sort of colour patterns or shades make it really boring. (Stay away from the soft edged brushes by the way)
Your handdrawn stuff is actually way better. "Shutup" is quite great even. Give us more of those and take high-quality pics of dat shit to do it justice :)
Good luck!
Thank you for the advice! this is one of the most helpful pieces of advice I've received so far, also thank you for your kind words about "Shutup". My apologies for the quality of the pics of my hand drawn stuff, I was too poor for a scanner at the time and had to use a cruddy camera, and now I've moved far away so all my original works have been lost :( but I'll keep at it, and next time I upload some hand drawn stuff I'll find a nice scanner. Again, thank you so much you've been a great help!

Thank you all so much for your replies! I'm starting to delve into the study of the human form and I think its helping already! I'm sorry for asking to get scouted, I didn't realize it was not okay, shoulda read the rules, my bad. But seriously thank you all so much for taking the time to reply, it is much appreciated. Sorry it took me a while to reply to my own thread, I got a puppy recently and haven't had much time for internets. But now that she's settled I'll be back on Newgrounds uploading more artwork! Thanks again! :)
Okay so like a 5 panel comic
maybe longer if you can think of enough stuff to put in it
this guy Roy,
he s balding, wears glasses
everyone thinks he's kinda weird
everyone at his office picks on him and he is constantly the butt of jokes and a target for harassment.
so yeah he's just this poor sad office employee who's bald and gets picked on
his co workers are hideous monsters though
and every time they see him they just spew really mean hateful one liners making fun of Roy
to which he will reply "huh" or something along those lines
probably a shitty idea
yeah the more I read what I have typed the worse it seems
but I'll try it anyways
I drew a sketch of this guy and I could never get him off my mind so here's Roy
anyone have any ideas to add to Roy his misadventures and his predicament? Feel free to take the image posted here and do whatever, he's yours now, not my problem, take him, take Roy away.

Thank you so much for your advice! Its very helpful, I'm glad to get any feedback to help me improve. One day I'll get it right :P In the meantime thank you and you're awesome for responding to my cruddy post :) Have a goodnight!

No porn/saggy vaginatittiescrotballs hanging out though;
If I do draw them naked they ain't got no nips cause I put clothes on em later
why would you need nips if you've got a shirt on? I often ask god that same question.. anyways....
Mostly draw faces, busts,
Cartoony stuff with heavy black outlines
Sometimes with realistic looking backgrounds or clothing
Still trying to become proficient at bodies... Not succeeding so far but I'll get there.
Any advice in that department would be greatly appreciated ( I struggle with legs in relation to the hips a lot... and always the proportions).
I'm looking to get better at correct proportions and accurate muscular/bone structures in female (male too I just suck at drawing guys) characters.
I'm working on it.
Anybody who's interested in foxy (at least I think they're foxy) cartoon ladies
check out my work,
take little look see, just please
at least have the courtesy to tell me I suck or something.
its not that bad is it?
I'd like to get scouted if possible
or you can always tell me why my art sucks and how I could improve it,
either one, as long as I'm getting feedback on it.
